We had originally reserved for 5 nights, but could only stay 3 - we clarified in advance that we would only arrive one day later, which was denied by the gentleman. What's more, attacking and insulting our group... of friends, who arrived at the campsite on the agreed arrival day, and threatening them is absolutely inappropriate. Furthermore, we were not even greeted on the day of arrival etc., but were immediately insulted and threatened again, should we dare to have a discussion here (or give an explanation) we would be expelled from the site on the same day - we had agreed to pay for all days without any resistance - but apparently this was not right either. That's how it is on this site.
In itself, the location on the Rhine would also be nice, but the proximity to the busy railroad tracks and the cargo ships on the river itself do not necessarily ensure quiet nights.
Sanitary facilities were fine and clean, but they are housed in containers.
All in all a bad experience, apart from the fact that none of our group would ever want to stay here again, we were banned for life. Thanks, but no thanks.Αυτόματη μετάφραση.

VisitedVery nice place to look at ships and railroads from close up, more than on the Neckar in Plochingen. You can walk to breakfast in 2 minutes in the morning, dining options in the village can be reached in 5 minutes. As for the noise, it's the ships and railroads I came for, but nothing to bear. Sanitary... facilities are just sufficient for the site, as 90% of the campers have their own washing facilities. All in all, I find the place good for me, where I want to watch ships. The entrance is a bit narrow but still easy to drive on.Beautiful campsite directly on the ReinCampsite right on the Rhine. If you have a pitch by the river it is very romantic in the evening, almost as if you were sitting in front of a miniature landscape. Opposite the Rhine trains every 5 minutes and ships every minute The place is clean and well maintained. The sanitary facilities are very... clean and the owners are very friendly, whoever complains should remember that the sanitary facilities are housed in containers, which is not disturbing. Considering that they have to be rescued in case of flooding. Whoever complains has no idea what it means to live on the Rhine where you have to remove everything in case of flooding. Cycling tours are possible in both directions, as the Rhine cycle path runs right past the site. Most of the pitches are located directly on the Rhine. The beer garden invites you to enjoy a nice round in the... evening. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are not at all convincing. There is no discretion in the showers. Two showers and four washbasins in a very small space. Poor ventilation. The cleanliness here also left a lot to be desired. Water was only available in the sanitary area. The pitch itself is good and well maintained but the sanitary facilities are not very clean, window frames, various corners etc. have not been cleaned for a long time and should actually be noticed by a cleaning lady in such small rooms. The sanitary facilities... consist of 2 converted old construction containers and an equipment shed which serves as a crockery and laundry room. In addition, the sanitary facilities are located above the square and can only be reached via a dangerous old sandstone staircase. This could be an accident hazard, especially for older people. The operator is not very friendly in our opinion. Very assertive and brusque. If he also kept his facilities in good shape 150% then it would fit. But unfortunately this is not the case. I am always impressed by the place and the entire staff. In summer, it's particularly nice to sit under the huge maple tree in the well-kept beer garden at moderate prices for small meals and drinks. Enjoying the great location... directly on the Rhine and the contact with the many locals who have been here for years is just great. The great shopping facilities in the immediate vicinity (1 minute walk) and the dog-friendly management always ensure a great stay. All my friends who have listened to my advice and stayed here are still good friends with me because they are also enthusiastic. I have just been here for 1 week with my dog and bike and will gladly drive my 630 km home to Berlin again, but I will be back soon. I promise !!!Αυτόματη μετάφραση.

With a few exceptions, the pitches are all in the front row with a fantastic view of the Rhine. And if you turn around, you can see Schönburg Castle, which is beautifully illuminated at night. The site operators are very friendly and uncomplicated.... The beer garden, also right on the Rhine, is cozy and the snacks are delicious. Supermarkets are just across the road and the town center of Oberwesel is just a stone's throw away. It is mainly geared towards caravans/caravans, but there is also a small corner for tents. When the water level is low, there is even a stairway into the Rhine - groynes dampen the current. The pitches directly on the banks of the Rhine are of course absolutely sensational. The first look out of the door in the morning and the bank is less than 10 meters away. The sanitary facilities... are...well...original. Since everything has to be removed every fall due to the danger of flooding, toilets and showers are in containers. But everything is modern and very clean. The beer garden was unfortunately still closed. But when it's open in summer, you can sit by the Rhine and the prices on the menu are extremely family-friendly. Although the sanitary facilities "only" consist of 2 containers, they are well maintained and clean. We spontaneously used the site as a transit site for an overnight stay and were delighted. Unfortunately, the beer gardens were closed on Monday, but the groundsman... very kindly pointed out the possibilities in the village and even gave us a map. Great!!! In the morning we went to the Rewe bakery (about 300m away) for breakfast. Everything was fine. Our pitch was right on the Rhine with its own access. The only disadvantage (which is generally the case on the Rein): the railroad lines passing to the left and right of the river... We will definitely be back more often :-DΑυτόματη μετάφραση.
Björn B.July 2011It is a simple but clean campsite. This applies in particular to the sanitary facilities (2 showers each for men and women), which are housed in a container. Children will be disappointed by the playground, which only consists of a slide and two swings. The CP consists of two rows and a central path.... For the electricity supply to the pitches, the cable has to be laid partly across the path. The pitches are quite spacious and in the first row with an unobstructed view of the Rhine.
