The short-stay parking spaces, which were actually designated for those arriving later, were blocked with chains.Just passing through but confusingWe were actually just looking for a place to stay overnight while we were passing through. Unfortunately, the nearby truck stop was overcrowded with trucks. So there were no pitches left for motorhomes/caravans.
We were pleased to find a sign for a nearby campsite and decided to go there. When we arrived... with our camper van after a long, dark and somewhat steep drive, we were a little taken aback, as the short-term pitch was cordoned off with a chain. After a closer inspection, however, we realized that the lock was not locked, but only hacked. So we set up on this pitch to spend the night. The next morning we wanted to pay our bill, and the operator was completely baffled as to how we could get onto the site. That was our whole experience and we moved on straight away. Apparently nothing has changed from the assessment some time ago that the operator is a bit confused. We would only use this site again for a short overnight stay in an extreme emergency.Αυτόματη μετάφραση. - Uli W.May 2020ΘετικάLocation, tranquillity, friendliness of the staff, natureΑρνητικάFacilities seem to be in need of some overhaul, sanitary facilities were clean, but are probably too small in a full occupancy periodGood alternativeWe liked the place we chose at short notice because of the Corona period, it offered everything we were looking for: Nature, quiet location despite the monotonous humming A5 highway in the background, friendly owners, play opportunities for children, hiking and cycling opportunities on the old railroad... embankment (Little Red Riding Hood Cycle Path), barbecue facilities, plenty of space and walking opportunities for dogs, supplies nearby (Kirchheim) easily available. We also liked the nearby bathing reservoir.
We will come back again for a long weekend.
The facilities all seem a bit outdated (if you don't mind), but were clean and well maintained. Whether this will be the case with full occupancy is another matter.Αυτόματη μετάφραση. - J. The peace and quiet and the friendly staff were very convincing. The site is absolutely fine for transit travelers. We were sitting there at 34° and suddenly the air conditioning goes off . And that with two children and 4 dogs . A place for the power consumption is also not assigned . The approach to the campsite is very steep. Despite the high season, there are many empty pitches, some of which are very uneven. The second restaurant has probably been closed for years. The terrace looks in danger of collapsing, but is... also cordoned off. Due to the negative reviews, we didn't even try the main restaurant. The peace and quiet and the friendly staff were also convincing, but unfortunately that was about it. For transit travelers, the place is absolutely fine, if I want to spend my vacation here, a cleaning crew had to clean the sanitary buildings... thoroughly at least once, that it does not happen, show the many dead insects and the lime splashes on the partitions. I don't just want to complain, I know that camping means being connected to nature and that you have to make a few compromises, but to have been awarded the title "exemplary campsite with 5 stars" for more than 18 years is a bit exaggerated. Ideal for large gatherings. Very central. The restaurant has very inexpensive and tasty dishes. The site is very close to nature. The sanitary facilities are not the newest - but always very clean. The toilets (at the tourist pitches) were always clean and tidy and I didn't use the others. The small restaurant at the tourist pitches was unfortunately closed, but the restaurant at the reception was ok. Unfortunately not much has changed since then. Sanitary facilities clean and owner (boss seems to be in her late 70s) very helpful. Still ok for us for one night, but nothing more. Costs 21.- on transit place in front of the barrier for trailer and 3 adults. However, it offers peace and relaxation, and the small restaurant is well run and very friendly. And if you want to spend a little more money on an overnight stay, you will be rewarded with a quiet, freely selectable pitch and a... clean and decent sanitary area on the campsite.
