They were also very helpful in finding a garage. Unfortunately we couldn't spend the night there. But we'll definitely be back and then we'll thank them again. Hicks. The location is incredibly romantic. The toilets and washrooms were spotless. I think I've praised the operators enough. The old town of Rothenburg... can be reached on foot in 20 minutes. You should bring some fitness with you for the walk, as it is mainly uphill. The campsite is an ideal starting point for visiting Rothenburg and the surrounding area. We were only there for two days as we were passing through, but we can imagine staying longer. Ordering bread rolls went smoothly. Wet areas and toilets were functional, partly new and really clean. Rothenburg is easy to reach on foot or by bike.
At the beginning I found the idea that no carpeting was allowed a bit strange. However, in retrospect, we approve of it in view of the fact that it is much more pleasant to walk on a well-maintained lawn.
Contrary to some statements in the reviews, the electricity billing is more efficient and cheaper than the usually overpriced daily flat rates.

Food is only available in Rothenburg, there are only drinks and ice cream on the site.Nice little campsite in DetwangThe small, well-kept campsite is located in a quiet area in the village of Detwang below the Rothenburg valley. Flat meadow area with few trees. Quiet and idyllic. Nearby is the church of Peter and Paul with the Riemenschneider altar. Sanitary facilities are clean and adequate for the small site. Showers... cost 50 cents.
The pitches are different. Some quite narrow, like in a parking lot. Some quite good, e.g. along the bush hedge.
Dogs are allowed on the site.
Overall a nice, recommendable campsite.
To Rothenburg it is a tight walk of about 20 minutes up the mountain. With the e-bike you can make it in 10min. Unfortunately there is no cycle path. The footpaths are closed to cyclists. The areas were closed at night.
However, this is not the fault of the operators.
Were the requirements of the authorities and on other places too.
