Mario M.June 2024Θετικάclean and tidy, friendly to guests and natureΑρνητικάno own restaurant, distance to the cityGood western standardWhile most campsites in Bulgaria are unfortunately gradually mutating into settlements with caravans converted into bungalows, some of which no longer accept campers at all, this is a real campsite based on the Western model. The campsite is run by a friendly couple from England who take great care of... their guests' needs. For example, there is a small kitchen with a fridge, washing machines and a detailed information leaflet in German. The sanitary facilities differ positively from the Bulgarian standard. The greenery is well maintained and swallows' nests in unfavorable places under the roofs are not removed but carefully covered so that no guest gets bird droppings. Shady trees have yet to grow. For small tents, however, there is a small shady meadow under two larger trees directly in front of the sanitary facilities. Cyclists can also feel at home here.
The site is secluded and quiet with a beautiful view on a narrow, low-traffic and pothole-ridden connecting road between two villages. It offers plenty of pitches for caravans, but was almost completely empty during my stay at the end of June. It is therefore probably not worth having your own restaurant. There is only a small café with WLAN, where you can sit together in the evening without being forced to consume. However, it is possible to eat well and cheaply ("close to the people") in the neighboring village or have something delivered from there - the operators offer their support for this. Unfortunately, it is a few kilometers to Veliko Tarnovo and Arbanassi, and traffic/parking are a bit annoying there. The operators are happy to help you order a cab (approx. €10).
In my opinion, a visit to Veliko Tarnovo and the surrounding area is recommended for this campsite alone.Αυτόματη μετάφραση.- Joanne Q.April 2023ΘετικάBeautiful views. Large pitches. Very close to a beautiful town, which offered free walking tour, well worth it. The facilities are immaculate all the time. Beautiful nature all around with different birds, etc.

Connections for water, waste water and electricity are available at the pitches. A satnav is recommended for the journey, as there are no signs. We received an extremely friendly welcome. The restaurant offers a large selection of typical local dishes at a reasonable price. - Frank U.September 2018Good place in a beautiful locationOn our three-month round trip through Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary, we stopped at a total of 15 campsites ... in our opinion, the site in Veliko Tarnovo was one of the best! The location and the view are really fantastic, the site is quiet, the sanitary buildings are modern and very clean (although... not particularly suitable for the disabled), there is a laundry service, a covered terrace where you can eat / drink or just enjoy the great view and the two operators Nicki and Nick and their entire staff are extremely friendly and helpful. If you stay longer, there is a discount on the price, which is very reasonable for such a place. However, we had the misfortune of being there outside the high season ... so the restaurant was closed the day after our arrival and the (fantastic!) pool a few days later. The only drawbacks: Wi-Fi is only available on the terrace, you have to drive a bit to go shopping and the site is sometimes so sloping that you really have difficulty getting the caravan on a level surface.Αυτόματη μετάφραση.

There is service with a smile although it is at a typically Bulgarian pace. The restaurant serves good home cooked food.The facilities are the best we experienced in the country and there is a large beautifully... maintained swimming pool with a children's pool and plenty of sun loungers. The site itself is well spaced out in a picturesque rural setting and they have planted trees for shade but they are too young to provide much yet. It is a good launch point from which to visit the old capital and several other worthwhile sites and Nicky the owner is very knowledgeable and helpful with advice of what's going on. Very easy to get to Veliko Trnovo and Arbanasi, I think it's around 7-8 km. The hosts are hospitable, the campsite is run by an English family, it seems like a meeting center for the British community in the area. Our new swimming pool opened this year 2016. We had to build a new pool because the old pool was destroyed by bad weather. The new pool is much better!

A fantastic location, the sanitary facilities are exceptionally clean, the site is beautifully maintained and the food is excellent and reasonably priced. We made a round trip through Bulgaria... with our small bus and wished we had reached this site last (especially because we were dependent on the sanitary facilities). It was a dream! The campsite owners are very helpful, friendly and always have time for a quick chat. Our pool was damaged by storms. We have built a new pool which opened for the summer of 2016. The new pool has its own children's pool, new tarrace and gardens to relax and enjoy.

The tiolet buildings are very neat and clean, there is a beautiful swimming pool overlooking the hills and you can eat delicious and inexpensive food. The staff is friendly. Our campsite was built a few years ago, so we planted 100 trees to provide shade. They are just starting to mature to give some shade. Our pool operates from early June to late August when it is usually too cold to swim in September. - Ian R.August 2013This proved a difficult site to find, but the guide we were using at the time wasn't always accurate. The owners took this on board immediately and aim to rectify this and improve their signage. The facilities are clean and modern, although not big enough if the site is full as was proven when a very... large group turned up. This is a developing site and, although the pitches are marked out, it currently lacks shade or privacy. The food is very good and the menu offers both Bulgarian and English choices.
