Peace and relaxation and a wonderful location by the lake. Reduced to the essentials, nothing for posh campers, but for individualists like us. Toilets were always cleaned. Certainly no "I'm a particularly great luxury camper standard", but toilets and showers. Clean and ok. 5 star luxury campers will not be satisfied ;) For everyone else it is. The food in the restaurant is extremely tasty and very cheap. Even the approach is great in an avenue. When you arrive, you are greeted in a very unfriendly manner and asked if you have a reservation... It's very off-putting when a young man literally shouts at you and almost insults you. The tenant is also very... moody, sometimes you meet her in a friendly manner, sometimes the opposite. A real shame. Every time we had a question, we were almost afraid to ask. The sanitary facilities are really disgusting and are only cleaned once a day and that by a child (14 years old at most). As the sanitary facilities are outside the campsite, they can also be used by bathers. There should urgently be a sanitary facility inside the campsite for campers only. Our pitch with a group was in a very nice location and you could set up a kind of "wagon castle" around the fire pit. We liked that very much. Whether we will come again is questionable. That's why we always like to see for ourselves. It's not far from us and, in the worst case, we... could break off again and drive home. Sanitary facilities.....what a nightmare!!! Not only are there not enough of them... no, the state of the sanitary facilities is also inhumane! The check-in and check-out processes are also sub-standard. We have rarely experienced anything so chaotic. It seems to me that neither the association nor the tenants are capable of running a campsite. Completely overwhelmed and unfriendly to boot. What kind of combination? I also don't accept that it's the users who are responsible for the dirt. No, the way you make your bed is the way you sleep! The tenants are very keen to improve the campsite. The beer garden with the new seating areas is also very nice. As soon as you enter the campsite, you have the feeling that you are going to spend a few... relaxing days here again. The site is very well maintained and as far as the sanitary facilities are concerned, the vacationers are not entirely innocent if they are not clean. You can only wonder how people behave in them. You can barbecue in the evening, there are fire pits for campfires, which is not allowed on every campsite. Everyone can have a great vacation. Although there were larger groups in several places, you didn't notice anything and it was very quiet and relaxing. It is also very nice there for dogs. There is a lot of forest, water for swimming and a very beautiful Hesselberg, which is great for hiking. In the evening you can light a fire, have a barbecue and enjoy the end of the day. You can go fishing... and there are many excursion destinations that are worth visiting. The landlords have put a lot of effort into beautifying the place in recent years. The beer garden is also worth a visit. Very nicely laid out...We think camping is there to switch off and escape from everyday life. Poor sanitary facilities.Probably okay for anglers.Unfortunately, we were given a very unfriendly welcome and the first thing we had to do was pay. Well, in retrospect it turned out why that was the case. The pitch was freely selectable and well dimensioned, but the lawn was not really mowed short and the way to the power house quickly overstrains a... cable reel. It's a shame that this is not pointed out on the website. The wash houses were an imposition. Container showers with little space. Here, too, the HP promises something different. However, the renovated washrooms are reserved - with a key - for permanent campers. The food in the restaurant was delicious, but overall the staff were simply very unfriendly over three days. It became difficult again when we wanted to leave the site BEFORE 11am. What a shame, as the site is in a really beautiful location. The campsite has been there since 2003, has been declared a youth campsite from the start and also offers annual campers a place to stay separately from the day campers on their pitches. So much for the overview. The current tenant couple have... been running the site for several years with a great deal of commitment and even more work. In the beginning, they only intended to have a kiosk with a very small kitchen and sausages with chips or similar as a food offering. In the meantime, the tenants have created a very pleasant beer garden atmosphere with plenty of seating (approx. 50 in total) and a small and fine menu. A pizza oven has been added to the kitchen, providing a considerable selection of dishes for a place of this size. The food is delicious and, even after many visits, I have never had a reason to complain. Waiting times may be a little longer when there is an exceptionally large crowd, but no one is ever turned away or treated unkindly. Of course, with so many guests, small misunderstandings or differences in taste are inevitable! For example, if you order a pizza with salami, olives, anchovies, lots of cheese and the like, you shouldn't be surprised if it's "greasy"! I would also like to note the form of a complaint, as you shout into the forest so it sometimes echoes back. In this context, I think it is impertinent and inappropriate to suggest an attempt at fraud. The sanitary facilities have been constantly improved and, thanks to the constant efforts of the tenants, offer enough space and cleanliness for everyone. I find the reasonable prices of the campsite very pleasant. Anyone who behaves reasonably here can have a nice and relaxing vacation. I think it is superfluous to mention that of course NO-ONE can terrorize an entire campsite with continuous noise all night long. However, everyone can have a quiet and civilized vacation here according to their own vision and have a lot of fun. There are various leisure facilities (volleyball and football, playground for the little ones, table tennis and billiards, grass pitch for your own games, etc.). The lake is not very deep (approx. 1.5 m/deepest parts) and apart from the small sandy beach with a muddy bottom, but with good water quality (see Altmühlsee, which has more problems). Fishing and beach operations are clearly marked for everyone. The lunch break is, also clearly recognizable for everyone, from 13:00 to 14:30 and of course you can NOT leave then, otherwise it would not be a lunch break! Service: Very unfriendly. Food: The "Siciliana" pizza was swimming in fat and we complained about it. The "cook" said it was from the cheese, which didn't make it any better. She was totally unresponsive and scolded the guests loudly in the kitchen,... which could easily be heard on the terrace. After the complaint, Pelmini was brought, which was fine. When we received the bill later, we were quite astonished: there was neither a printed nor a handwritten bill, but a price was thrown at us that we had to swallow - or not. We were there for a week and the toilet facilities were cleaned once and the outside sinks were not cleaned at all. You can see the cobwebs everywhere. The bushes grow into the sidewalk. You can't see a garbage can anywhere on the... site, not even when buying ice cream. So it's very dingy. No barbecue grills at the barbecue areas.Nice location, but that's about it.I went camping with a group at Lake Denneloher in July. The campsite is beautifully situated and the area for tents is generously sized. On arrival at the lake we were unfortunately not greeted in a very friendly manner and we had the feeling that we were not really welcome as a group. Prices for electricity... and waste were still reasonable and the campsite was not too expensive. Unfortunately, the lake didn't really invite us to swim when we first visited it as the water was very murky, which was confirmed when we first went there. The condition of the sanitary facilities was similar. These were not really cleaned during the entire weekend and smelled a bit penetrating. What bothered us the most were the barbecue areas. It is not mentioned at all on the website that there is no barbecue grill available at the fireplaces, so if you are not resourceful and know how to help yourself, you will have problems barbecuing. The paths for electricity are quite far for the rear campsites (approx. 100-150m) if you don't know this beforehand you will have problems with normal cable drums. However, the bakery service worked wonderfully and the prices are really okay. What bothered us the most was that we were not allowed to leave at lunchtime because the exit was blocked by a barrier. Conclusion: The campsite is beautifully situated, but the lake is not inviting for swimming. The staff are not particularly friendly and do not make you want to visit again. For families with children who don't need a lot of leisure activities, this is a nice and quiet place to relax for a few days, but not for groups who need some "action".Αυτόματη μετάφραση.

Furthermore, it has to be said that there were enough sanitary facilities, but they lacked cleanliness. In... my opinion, the lake itself is not really suitable for swimming as it is only half a meter deep and very dirty. I would also recommend that everyone only goes in with bathing shoes. On the plus side, the campsite is really good and ordering from the "Bäckermobil" was no problem either. Ideal for anglers and those seeking peace and quiet. The sanitary facilities are very basic and not always clean. Showers cost 1 euro. Within a week we saw once that it was cleaned. The six washbasins in the bathroom only have 4 uncleaned mirrors. The washroom has poor... lighting. If you want to do your laundry, you have to do it in the ladies' toilet room, even if you are a man. The sinks outside are hopelessly dirty, the device for emptying the chemical toilet is adventurous and does not work in winter. There is no proper dump station for motorhomes! The site lighting is switched off in the evening. There is no toilet paper, you have to buy it in the adjacent restaurant. Access to the washroom and toilet only with key. There are several places for campfires in the caravan. The site is fenced, but the two gates remain open so that anyone can enter the site. Electricity is only available centrally and you need very long cables. No wifi on the pitch. Radio and mobile phone reception is poor. The campsite itself is beautifully situated on the lake. Characterized by permanent campers. The place has no tenant but only a groundskeeper couple. The site belongs to the Ansbach/Dennenlohe water association, under the responsibility of Mr. Wagner. A public body that would be better off sticking to its guns than looking for an inexperienced groundsman and "trying out the camping business". In the summer during the open season and at the end of the week there are sometimes large youth groups on the meadow (fire department), then it should be quite loud there.....(according to a report from a permanent camper) If you are looking for a simple and quiet place, without pretensions and child-friendly (playground, campfire and sandpit) you are in good hands here.
