Relaxed camping guests.ΑρνητικάDirect location on the main road, especially at the group square at the top of the square, therefore not completely quiet, but rather little traffic during the night.Great campsite also for a larger groupWe had already made a reservation for 34 people in the winter, as we were traveling with 21 children and 13 adults on a multi-day bike tour. Booking and reservation were completely straightforward, and all inquiries were answered promptly in advance.
We were given the group pitch at the top of the campsite... for our tents, as well as several pitches at the bottom right on the lakeshore. This was also very straightforward on arrival. Even during our stay, any questions about beer table sets, barbecues, etc. were answered and we received helpful support with everything.
Breakfast rolls for 35 people were easy to obtain from the campsite operator.
We can therefore also highly recommend the site for larger groups!

Yes, the sanitary facilities are more than 2 years old, but they work and are clean. That's good enough for us.
But there are also nice and helpful operators, very good food, and pitches right on the lake that can't be beaten in terms of... location. The price/performance ratio is also good.
Conclusion: Nice place, everything clean and well-kept, super nice people.

Very dedicated and helpful operators.ΑρνητικάThe proximity of the Alpine Road (loud)Camping Renken is a great place right on the Kochelsee.You feel at home on this site. I would classify it as a "natural campsite", similar to how the campsites used to be. Overall, I also found the people on the site to be friendly and accommodating...
The view of the lake towards Kochel, the bathing beach, the opportunity for water sports and fishing offer... a lot.
The efforts of the operators, bread service, kiosk sales, snacks or on 2 days also daily specials are very good. Hikes of all levels of difficulty are possible from the campsite. With the bus (guest card = free) you can explore the surrounding area (Walchensee etc.). There are plenty of cycle paths.
The only disadvantage is the alpine road that runs past the campsite. My wife and I and our dog were there for a week with our small camper van and it was just lovely.
The campsite is very nice directly on the Kochelsee and the sanitary facilities were clean no matter when we used them.

I can't think of anything else.Direct relaxation in a small family complex with short distancesI arrived and immediately felt at home. The pitch is located directly on Mittenwalder Straße. It is quite busy, but you know that when you look at the location. I didn't mind at all.
The site and the people are wonderful and informal. You can have your peace and quiet, but you always have someone to... chat to if you want to make new contacts.
There's no need to talk about cleanliness, the site is well maintained.

Our pitch was nice. The sanitary facilities were not always clean and are unfortunately a bit out of fashion. The young owners were always friendly and nice. All the staff we saw were friendly and courteous.
The beer garden offers super tasty food and always variety. The bread roll service is great and just right for early risers from 7.30am.
Everything was always clean... and easily accessible. We never had to wait at the sanitary facilities.
For our children (1.5 and 4.5 years old) there was a shallow swimming area directly in front of our tent by the lake and a great playground for all ages. As the campsite allows a good overview, you could always keep an eye on the children.
We went hiking, cycling and canoeing. The place is a paradise for that. Camping so close to the water was heavenly, and the sunsets were a dream. I arrived and immediately had the feeling that I was VERY welcome here. It's definitely not a high-class place but very good average and SO FRIENDLY. The site is right on the lake. There are bread rolls, coffee and cake. And very nice tips on what to do. The place is quiet, even if it is on the road to Walchensee. The place is run with a lot of commitment. The food is also delicious and everything has a family feel. The campsite is in the shade between the mountains so you only have sun in the morning and at lunchtime. The access to the lake is relatively narrow and was blocked by caravans. Right next to the campsite is a road that is used as a motorcycle race track. The sanitary... facilities are very clean, the pitch is also well maintained, there's nothing to complain about. Thumbs up, 7 out of 5 stars! We really enjoyed our days with you. Every day fresh food from the grill and delicious smoked fish. Vroni and the rest of the service team were quick on their feet and the food was... always delicious. There is a small climbing course for children right next to the outdoor seating. The small site is very clean and there is hardly a path that takes longer than two minutes. More importantly, your sanitary facilities are spotless at all times of the day. There was never an excessive rush and there were always enough toilets and showers available. The room for disposing of the camper toilets was also excellent. I could write more good things, but I would like others to come to you as unbiased as we did and see for themselves how wonderful camping can be. Simply camping! Keep up the good work! - Melli H.April 2019Θετικά- super friendly team - Direct location on the lake - Campsite to feel good with little frillsΑρνητικά- Road and power lines in the immediate vicinity (but didn't bother us after the first day)Camping site to feel goodIn contrast to Walchensee, which is overcrowded with tourists, Kochelsee, which is only about 6 km away, is just too quiet and peaceful. The Renken campsite is small and pretty and is located directly on the lake. It offers sunny and shady pitches that are loosely arranged. The sanitary facilities are... a bit outdated, but were well maintained and always clean. Yvonne and Daniel are super nice and helpful hosts who do their job with a lot of love and warmth. If you are there at the right time, you can enjoy freshly caught grilled trout.
