"Stopover on the journey from south to north - Very simple pitch by the forest with a very friendly welcome. The small site is characterized by the nearby forest location on a slope. You can start good hikes from here. The sanitary facilities are clean and look new. There are no shopping facilities. It is possible to eat in the restaurant, but please call in advance. The 20 pitches are wheelchair spaces with electricity. All okay for one night!

"Beautiful little place in the Thuringian Forest - We felt very comfortable on the pitch. Unfortunately, the area is not well suited for cycling tours. Most of the cycle paths consist of rough gravel, which is very unpleasant when the path is steep and winding. Hiking is great, cycling is stupid. The outdoor pool nearby is also good. Unfortunately it's only open from 10 am, not for early swimmers. Apart from that, there's not much else going on in the area, just good hiking. The huts and inns are not always open, so you can sometimes find yourself standing in front of a closed door in the middle of the week or on a Friday.

"Great little place - A small, fine site in the countryside. There is also a bungalow camp. The campsite has everything you need. It's not big, which I really like. Nice operators! Toilets are clean and showering requires shower tokens. WLAN is available and there was sufficient reception on my pitch. A very nice swimming pool is right next to the campsite. A bakery is also within easy reach. You can be there in a minute by bike. On foot in about 10 minutes. It is exactly 1 km. You can go shopping in Schleusingen. You can also get there quickly by bike. It is also only 5km. The site is also suitable for dog owners. Beautiful surroundings for walking or cycling. The restaurant on the site is good value and good. I was satisfied and will be back.

Here, you will find everything a camper's heart desires: 15 spacious pitches for caravans and motorhomes, as well as plenty of space for tents – all with …electricity. A central drinking water station and a dishwashing area provide additional comfort. If you're looking for a long-term stay, we also offer pitches for permanent camping – perfect for those who appreciate good company and friendly neighbors! Our cozy bungalow village awaits you with 20 well-furnished and comfortable bungalows. Built on terraces on the hillside, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding nature and forest. Peace, seclusion, and relaxation are our top priorities. Right outside the door, your adventure begins: Hiking in the Thuringian Forest, exploring the Vessertal Biosphere Reserve – no roads to cross, just pure nature! Observe wildlife, breathe in the fresh forest air, and find ultimate relaxation. For a refreshing summer cool-down, the Waldbad Erlau outdoor pool is just a stone’s throw away. A great place to swim, chill, and have fun! Our bungalows offer modern comforts: a private bathroom with a shower and toilet, a TV (some with cable), and a covered terrace. A fully equipped kitchen or cooking facilities make self-catering easy. Depending on the size, the bungalows accommodate 2 to 6 people and feature 1 to 3 bedrooms, each with two sleeping places. We are also open in winter! Enjoy the fairytale snowy landscape, with numerous winter sports opportunities just a short drive away. Our cozy restaurant serves delicious, simple dishes à la carte. Fresh bread rolls or a tasty breakfast are available upon pre-order. Whether hiking on the Rennsteig, cycling, motorcycle tours, fishing, horseback riding, swimming, or winter sports in Oberhof – including the Biathlon World Cup and sled dog races – you'll find countless leisure activities!
