We made a spontaneous enquiry by phone on the way.
There was a family price for families with two children. Unfortunately, Wi-Fi is not included.
The site is in the middle of the countryside and very quiet.
The pitches are well-kept, a... large area is for permanent campers.
Our pitch was on grass and the car was parked on the pitch in front of it.
The playground is okay (swings, seesaw, climbing frame and slide) by the lake. The mini golf course was unfortunately overgrown and unusable.
However, the children have plenty of space to run around as you are in the middle of nature.
Toilets have 70s charm, there is only a small sink with cold water for washing hands.
The showers have seen their best days. The joints urgently need replacing. The only positive thing is that the cubicles are large, there is a stool and enough hooks. Cleanliness was okay - of course it depends on the camper. Unfortunately it is a bit cold in the room. Practical showers. You don't feel comfortable.
According to the notice, the facility was handed over to new tenants on May 6 (we were there afterwards). We hope that they will invest a little - there is potential.
We did not test the restaurant.
The pitch could only be paid for in cash.
Nearest supermarket approx. 2km away.
I would come back for 1-2 nights, for a longer stay I would prefer something else with children.Αυτόματη μετάφραση.

The pitches for tourist campers are flat and grassy. The sanitary facilities are very spacious. The showers (huge) looked a bit outdated, but like all the sanitary facilities they were super clean and well maintained.
The restaurant on site offers schnitzel etc. of a decent quality. The campsite operator and staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

All necessary facilities are available: Sanitary facilities (very spacious showers), scullery, washing machines/dryers, gas sales, but unfortunately no bread roll service. Mini golf course. Restaurant (super tasty schnitzel at moderate prices... and local beer). The site is a great starting point for hikes to the Dörnberg or the Habichtswald. Very nice site operator. The CP is not responsible for this.Also suitable for a slightly longer stayWe stayed at this site for 6 nights at the end of Aug. 2016 and can recommend it without reservation. Characterized by permanent campers, which is not at all negative. Many day guests, as the site is close to the A7. But also very suitable for a longer stay, as it was for us here. Bread rolls are brought... to the caravan in the morning. Good restaurant and nice terrace. Very friendly service. WLAN included, but not a good connection at the back of the site. Outdoor pool about 500 m away. Great hiking opportunities directly from the campsite entrance. The Dörnberg, a hiking paradise almost like in the Alps with 3 different places to stop for refreshments. We bake our own bread on Thursdays. Highly recommended. We had chosen it to go on tours to the district capital of Kassel and only briefly explored the surrounding area. The campsite is family-friendly and well laid out. Although the facilities are not top modern, they were always clean and well maintained.... The staff are helpful and friendly and the restaurant is highly recommended. I missed clear markings where I could park the car and trailer during registration. I then parked a few cars which, as it turned out at registration, all belonged to long-term campers. This campsite is particularly recommended for campers who want to explore the surrounding area, go hiking or simply enjoy the peace and quiet.Αυτόματη μετάφραση.

The location is simply beautiful and the operator of the site was super helpful. Nobody who arrived later in the day was turned away even though the campsite was already quite full. Solutions were always sought in a pleasant manner. The restaurant on the site is also highly recommended. - Bart B.July 2013Very nice campsite, good value for money. The owners ( 2 couples ) do their best to make the guests comfortable. Good restaurant with a good kitchen, cozy biergarten, Toilets and showers are cleaned every day (however, unfortunately, every now and then there are also people, usually passing through,... who make a mess of the toilets and showers at the campsite). - Stefan S.August 2012We stayed at the "Zur Warme" campsite in Zierenberg for two nights during Documenta 13. The location of the site (which is also very scenic) proved to be particularly convenient. Within 10-15 minutes you can walk to the train station with a streetcar connection to Kassel (RT4 line). Our reservation request... by e-mail was answered quickly and positively. We were able to cover our small electricity needs (cool box, cell phone charging) free of charge - very nice and not necessarily a matter of course. The restaurant on site offers a good selection of dishes at reasonable prices and the staff are very friendly. However, we didn't really like the sanitary facilities, which were quite "worn out" and could only just be described as reasonably clean. Showering there is no fun. If you are traveling with a caravan/camper, this may not be so annoying. The playground and mini-golf course on the site were fine, but could also be better maintained. You can fish but not swim in the lake by the tent meadow. In my opinion, the site is not very suitable for children anyway. The eye-catcher of the square, a discarded streetcar on the tent meadow, has seen better days. As a location for parties, as advertised, I would probably not want to rent it. Overall, the square looks like it could do with a little more care and attention. However, if you can put up with that, you will find a well-located place in beautiful surroundings as a starting point for excursions in the region and for hiking and mountain biking. In my opinion, the prices are reasonable despite the aforementioned restrictions (€14 per night in a tent for 2 people).Αυτόματη μετάφραση.
