Bernhard H.September 2024ΘετικάInteresting and varied surroundings for cycling - tours and MTBΑρνητικάnone8 days caravan stayThe campsite is ideally located for cycling tours to the surrounding spa towns. The MTB routes in the hills of the Teutoburg Forest are also interesting.
Even if the online registration didn't work, we received a friendly response to our telephone inquiries and the booking confirmation arrived immediately... by email. We were then able to choose another pitch on site.
Sufficiently large pitches on the tourist area, on the lawns the awning can be easily fixed with screw pegs. Easy access, as all the paths are paved, an advantage even in rainy weather.
The pitch was clean, electricity, water and gray water drainage were available and worked. Sanitary not high-end, but everything worked and was cleaned daily. The cassette drain would need an update.

The site offers clean sanitary facilities, electricity on all pitches, a supply and disposal station, bread roll service and breakfast is also available in the small bakery store. The pitches... are gravelled and grassed. You can get to the town quickly by bike (approx. 2 km), which has lots of restaurants, shops and also the thermal baths, salt pans etc. Small drawback: Some dog owners simply don't have their dogs under control (!) Otherwise there's nothing to complain about. The cleanliness of the pitch left a lot to be desired. We first had to dispose of numerous cigarette butts. That was very disgusting. Then the groundsman came and told us that we should keep our caravan 1.5 meters from the edge of the pitch. However, these... special features should have been communicated when we checked in, especially as it was already completely aligned.
My wife drew the groundsman's attention to our "cleaning up" and he promised us a surprise.
Two days before departure, the groundsman ran into us and we reminded him again of his promise. He reiterated his promise to return the favor for the inconvenience.
We are still waiting for it today.
During the course of our stay, we noticed that the site rules were not enforced as vehemently on most of the pitches. Like boundary distance, tent carpeting etc..
Was this a demonstration of power by the groundsman?
Also, at public events, no attention was paid to the observance of the night's rest from 10 pm. For example, on 31.7.21 from 16:00-23:10 there was a continuous sound system in Ballermann style with between 80 and 90 db measured at a distance of approx. 65 meters from the sound source
Otherwise, the sanitary facilities were clean and there was plenty of play equipment for children.
Personally, I think the ban on entering and leaving during lunchtime and at night is antiquated.Αυτόματη μετάφραση. - Maria S.June 2021ΘετικάVery nice place with swimming lake.ΑρνητικάThe showers could be better organized.... Things lying on the bench get wet quickly, you have to be careful where you put your dry things. Perhaps widening the partition would help.Very nice campsiteWe stayed at the campsite for just under a week with our grandchild (5). We were only able to arrive after 6pm, but that was no problem at all. Since we had let them know in advance, our car number had already been entered into the system - so we were able to drive straight to our pitch on arrival and... officially register the next morning. Of course with a negative corona test. It was all very straightforward.
If you want, you can pick up pre-ordered bread rolls in the store in the morning, which were extremely tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. In hall 19 you can order food and it was possible to watch the UEFA games (of course, nicely observing the Corona conditions).
The swimming pond is very nicely laid out and also suitable for smaller children. The swimming area is separated by a cord.
It was also completely uncomplicated to receive guests on the pitch. Our grandchildren from the area were also able to enjoy the site for a few hours.

Willy F.February 2020ΘετικάAlways very clean sanitary facilitiesΑρνητικάnoneThe campsite for carnival refugeesWe liked the campsite very much despite the very bad weather. The pitches are tidy and equipped with ash (for the caravan or motorhome) and grass. The sanitary facilities were kept clean.
Naturally, there was nothing special going on during the travel period, but the facilities suggest that there is... plenty of entertainment on offer in summer.
The nearby town within walking distance is known as a health resort.
There is a wide range of excursions available, both on foot and by bike. The horizon is even wider by car.

A very friendly reception staff awaits you. The sanitary facilities are very clean and in really good condition. There are several wash houses available in the high season. Bread rolls are ordered the evening before and... if you pay for them directly, you can pick them up in the morning from 8am, ready packed. The entertainment is great and even as a newly arrived camper you are immediately welcome. In the high season there are always changing offers. The site also has a small natural pond which is great for swimming. There is a small snack bar in Hall 19, where you can get something to satisfy your hunger at very moderate prices. There are also board games and a very large bouncy castle for the little ones. We went to Rothenfelde for dinner.Large complex, lots of play and leisure activities for children and young peopleEverything was neat and clean, our wash house was still freshly renovated. A bit of a mess on the pitch, there is hardly any structure to the pitches (it has just grown) For children simply fantastic but also a proud price. Although the site was well filled (pitches were even fully booked), we never had the feeling of overcrowding. The sanitary facilities were modern and always clean (I don't know if they were renovated in between). The pitches were well maintained.... As were most of the permanent camper pitches. In the town of Bad Rothenfelde you can take a nice stroll in the spa gardens and visit one of the many cafes. The spa gardens of Bad Rothenfelde can be reached in a few minutes by bike. On Ascension Day there was a small party with a DJ etc. in front of the Vita-Bar. However, the music ended well before 10 pm. It would be nice if the pedestrian exit at the back was open at fixed times, then it would be easier to go out with the dog. The restaurant in the Vita-Bar is very reasonably priced. Pitches directly on the roads are very rough.The sun made up for it!Based on the description on the website, we had imagined more. The good weather over Easter helped us to use the pitch on the path and opposite the bouncy castle only for overnight stays. When we visited the beer garden on Good Friday, we were told that it was actually closed, but that there were some schnitzel dishes. The site is characterized by... permanent campers. There could be more order. Some pitches are very dilapidated and do not make a nice picture. The restaurant Gewölbekeller was good average with huge portions. Friendly service. Back then, we spent our spa vacation here. It doesn't seem to be worth it because there is no more physiotherapy on the site. It was nice to be able to go here in a bathrobe. But it's still fun to get out and about by bike or on foot and explore the area! Unfortunately, the maintenance here also leaves a lot to be desired. Care is taken to only repair what is broken.
