The san. The sanitary facilities offer everything you need, but you have to pay in coins for hot water. The overnight stay can also only be paid for in cash. In the season you should be there in time, on a Thursday in July the place was fully booked at 18:00.

In recent years, no matter when we arrived, it was no problem to park our short motorhome in the parking lot in front of the pitch so as not to disturb anyone.
In recent years, we naturally paid for this parking space the... next morning before continuing our journey.
We really appreciated this uncomplicated way of spending the night and often recommended it to others.
Unfortunately, this year we had a nasty surprise last night, which really annoyed me!
We arrived there at 2 o'clock in the morning after many traffic jams and long delays at the borders. There was plenty of space in front of the pitch and we parked as quietly as possible as we didn't want to disturb anyone at night. We used our own bathroom and soon went to sleep, exhausted from the long drive.
At 3:15 a.m. we were woken by loud knocking and bright lights on and in our motorhome. A man was standing outside, obviously an employee of the campsite, and told us that we were only allowed to arrive until 10 pm. We replied that we had been stuck in a traffic jam for a long time, to which he cheekily replied that we would just have to leave earlier. He then demanded a €15.50 fee. When we suggested that we pay this in the morning, he threatened to throw us off the site.
He stuck a piece of paper with the figures 15.50 on it, which was supposed to be the receipt, on our windshield wiper, not without shining his light inside the motorhome again.
We are very annoyed by such cheeky and impertinent behavior. We are honest people who don't leave without paying. We were always happy that there was this uncomplicated option as a stopover and were happy to pay for it.

The site is very popular, so you shouldn't arrive late in the season. The restaurant leaves nothing to be desired at reasonable prices. It's basically a large parking lot where you don't have to unhitch the trailer. Trolleys are parked in straight rows and there is a tent area on grass behind. You can leave in the morning whenever you want. Good sanitary... facilities with shower facilities. The restaurant is excellent. The site is 2 min drive from the A9 about 60 km south of Nuremberg. Delicious food at the hotel :-)ΑρνητικάNone ...Super transit site with direct proximity to the highwayWe used this campsite for the first time for a stopover on our return journey from Italy. We were running late in the evening and actually wouldn't have made it. A quick phone call and a friendly member of staff was waiting for us when we arrived. The caravans and motorhomes are then lined up in a row... so that there is room for as many people as possible. It didn't disturb the overnight stay in any way. Despite the many campers, there was a good atmosphere. Sanitary clean and adequate for the purpose. Price / performance great. Some pitches are on a slight slope. There are wooden blocks on site for leveling, but it is an advantage to carry appropriate aids. In the evening we had a very nice and delicious meal at the hotel at normal prices. We also enjoyed a local beer :-) In the morning we registered for breakfast at the hotel. Simple, good and uncomplicated. Ideal for the start of the final stage. Attention, if you want to refuel on site. There are two filling stations directly in front of the campsite. Didn't feel like filling up in the evening. Then the surprise in the morning. When everyone wanted to leave and drive towards the highway, the prices were raised by 30 cents. Crass. Whether it was a coincidence or not, I'll leave it at that. All in all, a great place for a stopover. We'll be back in July 2017. Update July 2017: Everything was very good again. A top address for a stopover. We will be back. The campsite is perfect for overnight stays. The highway is not far from the campsite, but didn't bother us at night. The sanitary facilities are in top clean condition.... We were charged every day because there is a lot of people coming and going every day. Friendliness is very important. On the trips home we treat ourselves to a delicious dinner and a nice breakfast buffet before setting off. We've never been to the surrounding area, so I can't say anything about it. It's ideal as a stopover, as the campsite... is right next to the highway. You can hear it, but only very muffled. In winter it can be slippery on the road.
