- Elias W.July 2024ΘετικάFriendly reception The restaurant LocationΑρνητικάHigh pricesGood starting point for toursWe received a friendly welcome, the restaurant offered good food - but everything was a little too expensive,
but the place exists almost exclusively because of the tourists. Because our ferry didn't leave until the evening, we were allowed to stay free of charge until then.Αυτόματη μετάφραση. - Johann R.June 2023ΘετικάThe location at the far end of the Lysefjord. Access from the main road over the mountains - simply beautiful scenery...ΑρνητικάWe didn't notice anything.A somewhat special campsiteAt the large parking lot (starting point to Keraq) you are not allowed to stay overnight with a camper (despite a 24-hour ticket). Therefore "down" to Lysebotn. We did not regret it.
Quaint place with free choice of pitch (no shore power needed thanks to on-board electricity). We liked the reception... and dinner in the restaurant. Sanitary area clean despite high occupancy. The highlight of our stay were the base jumpers who celebrated their festival this weekend. Lots of helicopter flights but exciting jumps by the jumpers and landing right on the pitch between the Womos and tents.
It wasn't a relaxing stay but a real experience with lots of fun thanks to the base jumper community.Αυτόματη μετάφραση. - Andreas G.July 2020ΘετικάnoneΑρνητικάalmost everythingWorst campsite of our trip to NorwayThe village of Lysebotn has a strange, oppressive atmosphere. Completely remote at the end of a long serpentine road and at the end of the Lysefjord.
The "charm" of the campsite matches this. I would describe the pitches for caravans and motorhomes as cheeky. The operator has obviously extended the adjacent... rubble dumping area.
Only the pitches for tents are quite nice and offer an impressive view of the mountain backdrop of the Lysefjord. However, the campsite has no access to the fjord. This is only possible via the ugly harbor pier of the village.
The reception is ok and so is the catering. The sanitary building was partly new and ok in summer 2020, but the toilets were no longer up to date.
Overall, we cannot recommend this campsite at all, at most for guests who have not found better accommodation after or before a visit to Kjerak and then only for one night at most.Αυτόματη μετάφραση. - Nadia D.July 2019ΘετικάLocated in a very picturesque location. Near waterfall and fjerdas.Nice campgroundThe cost per night is 260 nok. The campsite is located near the ferry from Kjerag to Prekestulen. There are tent sites, cabins and a hostel/hotel on site. A car cannot be parked to the tent site. There is free parking for cars. There are special carts to take your belongings to your tent/hut. The camping... site has a spacious kitchen with a small amount of dishes and other equipment. Stoves, microwave, kettle. Plenty of toilets and showers. Showers are free. Everything is clean, new and beautiful. There are no dryers. At the entrance to the campground is a cafe. Prices are about 170-300 nok. They sell beer, burgers, potatoes and so on. Reception just behind the counter of this cafe. Wi-fi is free, but catches only on the territory of the cafe and nearby. The camping is located in a very picturesque place next to a waterfall and fjerd. You can fish for free. About the ferry that goes to Prekestulen. This ferry must be booked in advance and its schedule is special. If anything, the ferry does not run on Sundays. In my opinion, this ferry is not necessary, you can safely drive on a good road to Stavanger and from there you can take the ferry to Prekestulen (which runs every 20-30 minutes).Αυτόματη μετάφραση.
- Martin S.July 2017ΘετικάProximity to the ferry.ΑρνητικάToo few sanitary facilities. Cooking stoves belong on the scrap heap. Too few washing-up facilities.Great location, but ...Good starting point for ferry trip across the Lysefjord. Kitchen in need of renovation. Stoves in very poor condition. Too few sanitary facilities and showers for the size of the site. Friendly staff. We only stayed here overnight if we wanted to take the ferry.Αυτόματη μετάφραση.

- Jensi L.August 2012The worst and most expensive place of our Norway tour. During our stay, the following were broken: the electric stove (2 extra hotplates OK), a fridge, the hand dryer in the men's toilet, one ladies' and one men's shower and one of two washbasins in the men's area. The sanitary facilities were cleaned,... but there was probably a lack of regular cleaning. When I visited the toilet on day one, there was a dead mosquito stuck to the wall. On day two there were two mosquitoes...Αυτόματη μετάφραση.
