Despite the fact that the main road runs right past the campsite, it is really very quiet. So not at all disturbing! In the morning there are very tasty bread rolls on site and a small mini-market with everything you might need spontaneously.ΑρνητικάIf you had a fenced-in dog run, it would be even more perfect! :)WomanAll in all, a very nice campsite for one or more nights. With two wild children, it was just the right place for us. The children were able to play and run around at the castle without disturbing anyone, we took a short walk to the adventure playground in the village and here too the children were able... to get plenty of exercise and look at the lambs and calves. There was a water treading area at the campsite, but there is also a lovingly designed water treading area in the village with a hammock, star cinema bench and wooden sculptures. Shopping is within walking distance at Tegut, but there is also a kiosk on site with fair prices. If you like hiking, you'll get your money's worth here. Well signposted hiking trails and a beautiful landscape.
For those who like cycling: Ebike or better mountain bike. It is very steep in places. Unfortunately, the signposting of the "cycle paths" leaves a lot to be desired.

Great for relaxing.We were on the site over Whitsun, when it was of course fully booked, but the staff had everything under control. According to the operator, it is always so full on long weekends, otherwise you can have a nice vacation here. We will definitely be back.

The towns of Fulda, Fladungen and Gersfeld are easy to reach.

We had a reservation, but there wasn't much going on at the campsite yet. That's why we were allowed to drive onto the pitch and set up during the lunch break on our... arrival. We were greeted by the very nice groundsman, who you could tell was very competent and enjoyed his job. There are no fixed pitches; the pitch is only bordered by marker stones and a hedge at the back. The pitches are large enough for caravans, awnings and cars. There is water and electricity nearby and satellite reception was no problem. Children will have a lot of fun on the great playground, otherwise there are common rooms in the main house for wet days, where you can play table football or billiards (for a fee). The sanitary facilities are also located in the main building. Everything is modern and very clean and there is sufficient capacity. The campsite does not have its own restaurant, but there is a restaurant within walking distance at the entrance to the village. But we didn't try it out. You can order bread rolls for the next day in the small shop, larger shopping facilities can be found one village further on. From the campsite you can easily reach a number of excursion destinations by car. The Wasserkuppe is just "around the corner". Unfortunately, the motorcyclists who accelerated their bikes to top speed at the end of the village, where the campsite is located, were a little annoying. Of course, the campsite operator can't be held responsible for this, but as there are also many motorcycle routes there, you should be aware of this. In addition, the WLAN offered - I mean free - was unfortunately largely unusable. We had a pitch pretty much in the middle of the area and the Wi-Fi connection kept cutting out. This is a shame, as the mobile network (Telekom in my case) only offered weak data reception (LTE rarely, usually only poor 3G or EDGE).
