Important when approaching: pay attention to the campsite signposts. Google Maps wanted to show us a narrow path to the site earlier. However, this is only a "side entrance" to the site and closed with a barrier, no turning... possibility. The correct access road is also only a single lane. So drive slowly! Registration was quick and easy. Our personal details were recorded (German was spoken, the operators are Dutch) and we were allowed to choose our own pitch. The rows are separated by trees. It was impossible to put in pegs as the pitch was originally gravel (greenery is now growing through). But the pitches are very level.
The sanitary facilities are super clean and lovingly decorated (e.g. there is a framed picture in every toilet cubicle). The only drawback: the toilet cubicles are so small that you have to go in backwards, as it is impossible to turn around with the door closed. OK, at 1.90 m I'm not the shortest, but does that mean you have to bump your knees against the door when sitting down? What was saved on the toilet was made up for in the showers. They are very spacious. It's just a shame that the coin-operated machine is outside the cubicle. If you need to top up, you have to leave the cubicle.
Otherwise, the site is beautifully situated by the river, surrounded by forest. Also very nice for walking the dogs. There is also a playground for the little ones.
We were surprised when we left (because we hadn't read the note on arrival): No card payment is possible! Only cash (euros, Swedish or Norwegian kroner) or by bank transfer on site, i.e. on your cell phone or laptop.
It's good that electricity is included, but unfortunately not hot water for showers. Wi-Fi is available, but was not particularly stable at our pitch.

Rene G.July 2019Never againWe were planning to visit this campsite for a week. Beforehand, we had read various negative reviews about the owner saying that she had an account mania. We didn't want to believe this, but we were proven wrong the very next morning. The tarpaulin on our pickup was no longer as it had been on the evening... of our arrival, but nothing was missing. The next morning in the shower, we were shocked. The owner simply ran into the shower while we were running around naked in the shower rooms to get dressed again. When we wanted to know what this was all about, the owner started shouting at us that we weren't allowed to enter the rooms with shoes on and that we didn't know how to read and write. Incidentally, the shoes we were wearing were flip-flops. It looked more like she liked to surprise naked men in the showers under a pretext. And just by the way. If you want to see something like this, you can also go to the relevant websites. After this incident, we left the campsite immediately without having breakfast. The owner was not aware of any guilt and was offended that we did not agree with her insults or her lack of respect for our privacy. It should also be mentioned that these photos of the water, which can be seen on the Internet from this campsite, do not correspond to the local conditions. These photos were probably taken at places about 20-30 km away. We stayed on the site for 8 days and felt very welcome. Ideal starting point for hiking and cycling. Shopping facilities are in the immediate vicinity. Very nice and thoughtful operators. I have rarely seen such a lovingly run campsite. The Dutch operators even greeted us in German and everything was very, very nice. A BBQ (race and elk) is regularly organized for the guests. But since euros are also accepted, it is best to bring enough from home if the place is on the plan.Great campsiteWe spent three nights here, the longest stay on our tour of Sweden. Of the 16 campsites we visited on our tour, this was by far the cleanest thanks to the tireless operators. The scenery is very beautiful and, as described above, if you have the opportunity to have a BBQ, make sure you book. Totally... delicious in a cozy atmosphere. The CP was the starting point for several bike tours. Road bikes along the road, or MTBs up the mountain to the lift or one of the smaller lakes. Hauke K.September 2014Θετικά- Great managed CP - Sanitary facilities and CP extremely clean - nice operators - many hiking areas nearbyGreat place, ideal as a starting point for hikes in the areaWe (2 people and a dog) visited the site in the low season. It was almost empty at this time. We were only there with three other camper vans. It's a great place, the infrastructure of the site is excellent and the sanitary facilities and the kitchen, including the sink, are exemplary. The couple who... run the site are very friendly and always have an open ear for any questions. They are also on hand with help and advice. There are supposed to be brown trout in the adjacent river, which can also be fished. The peace and quiet on the site is only disturbed by the noise of the river ;)) Many great hiking areas can be reached from here. However, these must be reached by car. The nearest grocery store (ICA) is only two kilometers away and is easy to reach by bike. The existing lounge is very cozy and inviting. The Dutch couple who run the campsite are very friendly and are always on hand with help and advice. When the operators offer the freshly caught, smoked salmon trout and the BBQ, you should definitely take part! !!! SIMPLY... A DREAM!!! The site is an ideal starting point for excursions in the surrounding area, e.g. Fulufjäll National Park with the oldest tree on earth. Die F.July 2012Relaxation guaranteed!!! The extremely nice, friendly and helpful Dutch couple who run the campsite, which is beautifully situated by the river, put a lot of heart into it (German-speaking). The quiet campsite is situated along the river "Sörälven". The sanitary facilities are very clean, a semi-open... communal hut with a fireplace is just as freely accessible as the rustic barbecue huts on the riverbank. The ground near the riverbank is partly stony and less overgrown with grass, but at the back there is enough grassy ground for tents. Cooking, washing up free of charge, shower 5,-SEK/3min. The outside area of the service house and the communal hut are decorated with all kinds of old equipment and found objects, it's a bit like a small open-air museum ;-). The only drawback: as is very often the case in Sweden, the children's playground is very small. In the village of Idre (approx. 2km) there are shopping facilities (supermarket, outdoor/fishing store, some boutiques, ATM, petrol station) and the tourist information office. Ideal starting point for excursions in the surrounding area, e.g. Fulufjäll National Park, trekking tours in the nature reserves "Nippfjället/Städjan or Langfjället. Conclusion: simply a great camping site in a beautiful location... and not just for anglers! IMPORTANT: If the BBQ is offered by the operators, be sure to book!!!
