- Doris P.October 2019Simply wonderfulThis location is hard to beat. It couldn't be more beautiful by the sea. Lots of space outside the main season. Very friendly operators.Traducido automáticamente.
- Tania L.June 2018VentajasSwimming pool with sea water, restaurant very goodDesventajasRocky beachRais Gerbi June 2018We visited the campsite in June 2018 and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The mobile home was very clean and well maintained. We would recommend the site at any time.Traducido automáticamente.
- Friedhelm J.June 2017VentajasOutlookVery beautiful location on the north coast of SicilyLocated directly on the north coast; the site is divided in two by the railroad line. Depending on the location of the pitch (we were in the bottom row of pitches) no noise pollution from the trains) very nice view of the sea and the offshore islands. Very friendly staff, very good restaurant, small store with daily bread delivery service. Excursions to Cefalu and Palermo possible by scooter and/or train.Traducido automáticamente.
- Heinz S.May 2017Ventajas- perfect location - well-kept place - dedicated staffDesventajas- Seat allocation Experienced arbitrarilyA little paradise near FinaleA very well-kept terraced site right by the sea. We stayed at this highly recommended campsite in April 2017. You can't get a pitch on the top "floor" without a reservation. When we arrived, we were told that all the pitches on the top floor were reserved for two groups. Strangely enough, a German WW... driver still managed to get a place. I therefore interpret the allocation of pitches as arbitrary. However, we found a very nice spot on a lower floor, right next to the swimming pool. The staff are very friendly and service-oriented. The restaurant is an absolute hit. Mediterranean cuisine prepared with a lot of creativity and passion.Traducido automáticamente.
- Sonja H.October 2016VentajasBeautiful place with a wonderful view and very friendly staff.DesventajasFor us there were no real disadvantages, maybe the sanitary facilities should be renewed.Beautiful place with a great viewA beautiful site with a magnificent view over the sea. Pitches are not parceled out. We were able to position ourselves as we wanted at the beginning of October. There was plenty of space. The sanitary facilities are no longer the newest, but mostly clean. You could shower for as long as you wanted,... there was always warm to hot water. The water was also really hot when washing up. The negative comments from others about the wild cats were just the opposite. We really enjoyed the very different cats. There were no cat cries while we were there. The railroad line, which runs through the middle of the campsite - albeit far below - can hardly be heard. Absolutely no disturbance from it. There are steps and a path down to the stony/rocky beach. The bay is very beautiful, but rocky. We didn't use the beautiful seawater pool. The small town of Avola is ideal for relaxing and is not touristy. Wonderfully quiet and tranquil. You can get everything you need in the local supermarkets. The location of the campsite is ideal for a visit to the beautiful town of Cefalu. Palermo is about 80 km away. From there we took the ferry to Genoa. We recommend a trip to the small town of Pollina, 900 m above sea level. You will be rewarded with a fantastic view. The operators are very friendly and helpful. We would go back to this campsite at any time, we felt very comfortable there.Traducido automáticamente.
- Peter S.June 2016VentajasQuiet place, seawater pool, great view, helpful multilingual operator familyDesventajasmany wild cats living in the wildLarge, terraced site with large seawater pool.Large, terraced site, not parceled out. Large seawater pool. Pebble beach easily accessible via concrete paths or steps. Train runs in a tunnel underneath the campsite, but cannot be heard through the terraces. Great view of the sea, excellent restaurant, bread roll service. New and very clean sanitary... facilities. Very friendly and helpful host family (multilingual). Town with supermarkets is 1km to the east. Unfortunately many wild cats (a problem for dog owners) Price for 2 people in June 2016: ACSI 17€Traducido automáticamente.
- Ellen M.January 2016VentajasNear Cefalu and PalermoNear CefaluClean campsite that is also open in winter. It is very large, but you won't notice it because of the tiered layout.Traducido automáticamente.
- Gregor M.June 2015DesventajasNoneQuiet placeNice place. Friendly staff. We stayed at the campsite for 3 weeks, from here you can explore the whole of northern Sicily and the hinterland.Traducido automáticamente.
- Sigrid K.May 2015VentajasWonderful view of the sea. Spacious pitches.Everything perfectWe were completely satisfied, although low season the CP was clean and restaurant open. The train was barely audible and the nearby town was easily accessible on foot.Traducido automáticamente.
- Robert F.May 2015Ventajasvery clean, beautiful sea view from many pitches, good restaurant, very friendlyDesventajasI can't think of any except for the store, which is poorly stockedNice clean campsitePitches on different levels, wonderful sea view, pitches with gravel or concrete, some huge with their own water connection. Train runs through the middle of the campsite, but 15m below and therefore almost inaudible. Swing doors are only on the outside at the entrance, the shower cubicles have normal... doors. Very clean and friendly. Restaurant is great, lots of good fish dishes and about 50 different pizzas. Store is available, bread must be ordered the day before. There is no meat or anything to grill in the store. But the place is close by and you can get everything there. Operator takes you to Polina train station for €1 per person, from where you can easily get to Cefalu or Palermo by train. Bus stop in front of the CP. Pool is nice (salt water), bay rather small and rocky.Traducido automáticamente.
- Bianka V.March 2015VentajasGreat view of the seaDesventajasLukewarm to cold water when showeringGreat place to travel to and from PalermoPitch with a magnificent view of the sea. Very nice host family who came from home to let us onto the pitch after reception closed. Even a necessary visit to the doctor was personally accompanied. Sanitary building only equipped with swing doors. Washing up facilities under the canopy - only something... for warmer days. Unfortunately there were no toilet seats in the men's toilets, toilet paper had to be brought along. In the mornings the showers were lukewarm at best. No washing and changing facilities for babies. A railroad line runs through the middle of the campsite. Trains run regularly. However, the noise is limited. Conclusion: A good place for a short vacation and arrival/departure to/from Palermo.Traducido automáticamente.
- Familie S.July 2014Ventajas- beautiful location/viewDesventajas- few leisure facilities - no sandy beachBeautiful locationThis campsite is in a very beautiful location. You have a beautiful view of the sea from most of the pitches. The catering facilities are fine. There is a restaurant and a store with the essentials. Further shopping and catering facilities and everything else (bank, post office, pharmacy, etc.) can be... found in the nearby village of Finale (approx. 10 - 15 minutes on foot). The saltwater swimming pool is beautifully situated and clean. There are a few sun loungers, parasols and a lifeguard who ensures order and cleanliness. Swimming caps are obligatory. The path to the sea is steep and the beach is stony. The sea is less suitable for young children. You can snorkel. Otherwise, the campsite offers few leisure activities. The sanitary facilities are fine and clean.Traducido automáticamente.
- Renate C.March 2014A well-run and quiet site with clean sanitary facilities. Hot water and electricity are available, the rental accommodation is clean and well equipped. All in all, a special place to spend the winter, as everything is available in the nearby village.Traducido automáticamente.
- Anya L.July 2013Wonderful location, tents have a view of the ocean. Great snorkeling!! But no sand beach. You have to drive there (5 minutes) and you might have to pay for parking. Facilities are probably as clean as they get in Italy - so definitely room for improvement, though this is not the campground's fault. The... pool is nice, though there is no kiddy pool. Playground is falling apart. Still, our kids loved it, we liked it too. From Monday to Friday it was quiet and relaxing (until the weekend came and two very noisy Italian families set up their tents next to ours). Cefalu is absolutely beautiful and has a great beach, too. There are also a few other nice places to visit. And the train ride to Palermo takes about an hour (great day trip).
- Jens F.April 2012Were there in the low season: Wonderful sea view in spring, owner speaks good English, baker comes in the morning, village of Finale with retail stores within easy reach, bus stop in front of the site (ask the owner), sanitary facilities are in need of some maintenance, the outdoor pool has just been renovated.Traducido automáticamente.
- Stefan B.May 2011Very beautifully situated Cp above the coast with a fantastic view of the sea depending on the pitch. Great pool overlooking the sea. The new sanitary building is very nice; for wheelchair users, however, a separate bathroom with toilet and shower is located off the beaten track (a little down the hill),... but large enough. Restaurant on site recommended!!! Order bread the day before. Nice staff. About 15 minutes by car from Cefalu; about 45 minutes to Palermo.Traducido automáticamente.
