- Kai P.April 2024VentajasThe campsite is nicely parceled out, small and winding.DesventajasSome bends/corners are quite tight.Great campsiteWe arrived on Sunday at around 21:30. We had a traffic jam for over 4 hours at the Gotthard tunnel. We let them know by cell phone and it was no problem. We had reserved a pitch right by the lake in the first row and a bungalow on stilts.
We were told to just drive onto the pitch or that the key was... in the bungalow and we should check in the next morning.
Unfortunately, we had to leave on Tuesday morning due to an emergency in the family. But we enjoyed our short stay and will definitely be back. The campsite was very accommodating when it came to the costs and early departure. We can definitely recommend the campsite.Traducido automáticamente. - Madlen S.July 2023VentajasIndividually pazelliert, great trees and plants, right on the lake, great restaurantDesventajasRelatively expensive, Sanitary not up to date but clean.Very niceVery nice campsite. The birds are chirping everywhere and it almost reminds you of a park with all the trees. The food in the restaurant is very tasty. A small kiosk has everything you need at moderate prices.Traducido automáticamente.
- Ute S.April 2023Ventajas........Desventajas........ShamelessThe site manager is very arrogant and unfriendly.
We arrived in the evening after 7 pm, the reception was closed, the boss was sitting in the back and was chatting on his cell phone. It was raining cats and dogs and we just wanted to park and get dry. As he was sitting in reception, we knocked. He gave... us a hand signal to say it was closed and there was nothing going on ...... so leave me alone.
We were very annoyed and had to leave. We then drove to Camping Campagna, where we were allowed to pitch up and register the next morning.
Mr. Fritschi must have forgotten how to be human. He could have said, park behind reception and we'll do the rest tomorrow. But no, Mr. F doesn't need to do that.
We got to know a couple to whom the following happened...... they also arrived, no one was there and they parked to the side of the campsite to wait until morning. The next morning they were told by the boss..... I would get 40 euros from them, they had parked here. They had no electricity and didn't use anything from the campsite.
That's outrageous.
The campsite certainly won't see us again......We must have been there every year for 20 years. But there are enough people who still go there despite complaining.
There are other beautiful spots on Lago M.Traducido automáticamente. - Christoph P.May 2022Ventajaswithin walking distance of CannobioDesventajasSanitary facilities already very oldscoolLovingly landscaped squareGreat location with a large pebble beach directly on Lake Maggiore. The entire complex is landscaped with a lot of love and effort. But 👍👍👍👍
Some of the pitches for larger motorhomes are relatively small. It was just enough for our 6.4m Malibu.
The sanitary facilities are very old school, but clean... and available in sufficient numbers. The operator could invest some money and modernize them.
Very well-stocked market and 2 restaurants, which we didn't try out. In terms of price, the place is "expensive" for what is on offer in the low season. But I know that before I check in.Traducido automáticamente. - Ramona F.September 2020VentajasGood location Good infrastructure CleanDesventajasA little loudTip TopBeautiful location, right on the lake and a 5-minute walk to the lovely little old town!
The campsite has a great infrastructure, supermarket, restaurant, generous opening hours and also offers take-away. The pitches offer some privacy due to hedges. The sanitary facilities are very clean, cleaned several times a day and have hot water and toilet paper.
We were very satisfied.Traducido automáticamente. - Alexandra K.October 2019VentajasBeautifully and lovingly laid out campsiteDesventajasUnjustifiably expensiveBeautifully laid out campsiteWe visited this campsite on our trip to Lake Maggiore as the last of two previous sites. Some of the pitches are very small, making it difficult to park your motorhome. On the other hand, there is plenty of shade and the greenery on the site is exceptionally beautiful and varied. This means you have... plenty of shade, which is certainly an advantage in summer. You can reach Cannobio on foot, the sanitary facilities are ok and there was everything you needed in the small market on site. Unfortunately, the campsite is very expensive, which we don't think is justified.Traducido automáticamente.
- tim k.October 2019VentajasWe will be backDesventajasSatellite dish almost no chancehere for the 3rd timeFirst of all, if you can't cope with a 7-meter motorhome, you simply can't drive here. we even got a pitch with 9 meters. For us, this is one of the most beautiful campsites. Some people keep complaining here about 5 or 10 euros back and forth. Those who are so stingy should stay at home and sit in the... garden. It doesn't matter whether the dog costs 3 or 5.50 euros. The main thing is that he can come along! The site is very well maintained, almost like a small jungle. The sanitary facilities are acceptable for us.Traducido automáticamente.
- Ralf P.September 2019VentajasParceled out, restaurantDesventajas5.50€ for the dog with nothing in return!Great locationNice place, plots separated by vegetation without being overwhelming, friendly and clean, good restaurants. Dog is charged outrageously expensive without any service in return.Traducido automáticamente.
- Michael K.September 2019VentajasBeautiful location with great vegetation, close to the village.DesventajasToo few ladies' showers at the entrance, no towels for over three days, cobwebs in the toilets do not indicate cleanlinessHeavily overpriced CP with unfriendly operatorTotal chaos at the registration desk, as only one of the three "counters" was manned by the manager. You were allowed to choose your place but didn't get the place you wanted because our motorhome was supposedly too long. When we tried to make a reservation by phone, we were told that we didn't need... to do that; just show up. And then they tell you on site which pitches are reserved! We were given a dark shady spot surrounded by dense shrubbery and trees right by the river. And we paid €45/day for that. We could have at least been offered to try one of the free pitches near the water and park there. But we categorically refused because our camper van was 7.50m long and not 7.00m. Which means that in future my vehicle will be max. 7.00m and we won't see this pitch again.Traducido automáticamente.
- Sabine S.April 2019VentajasLocation directly on the lake. Short distances to the old town supermarketWell-kept pitch. Very quiet and relaxed in April! We stayed there for 4 nights with our dog and 7m motorhome. The site is beautifully laid out and the rather small pitches are all separated by bushes. There are two heated sanitary facilities. The mini market is well stocked. The pretty old town and a larger supermarket are a 10-minute walk away. There... are some beautiful paths for hiking and walking. I would describe the price-performance ratio as normal for the location / Swiss border. Incidentally, Lake Orta is cheaper and more beautiful.Traducido automáticamente.
- Silvia O.September 2018VentajasWonderful view, if the corresponding space can be booked Well-stocked store Close to the village with many shopping opportunitiesDesventajasreally overpricedBeautiful, but overpricedWe were there for three nights in Sept 18 - front row, view of the lake . So far, so good. The plots are small, the conversation of the neighbors in good to hear, are separated with bushes / hedges, which looks good visually. But - 47 EUR (incl. 5.50 EUR for the dog, 1st row 5.00 EUR, 2 persons) absolutely... overpriced. For this: - the sanitary facility (s) would have to be renovated - the plots would have to be enlarged a bit - the friendliness of the young lady at the reception would have to be improved. On a positive note, the store including the nice, friendly young man, the really really nice cleaning staff on the site. It's nice that dogs are allowed in the water there, which isn't the case everywhere. We didn't try the restaurant - but as there were always lots of guests there, we assume that it is also good. It was unfortunate that one dog owner or another didn't follow the rules and left their dog's droppings lying around...puke. Unfortunately, free WiFi was not included in the price. It's about a 10 minute walk to the town - a small shopping street invites you to stroll around and there are plenty of restaurants to stop off at! We will certainly not visit this place again - even though we had a fabulous view of the water - there are cheaper alternatives.Traducido automáticamente.
- Jörg V.September 2018Very nice place right on the lakeWe are very happy with the place, small but nice. There is nothing to complain about. We had 15m to the shore, it couldn't be better.Traducido automáticamente.
- Michael Z.August 2018UnfortunatelyThe pitch could do so much more but unfortunately there is nothing to see. Almost all the pitches are actually overgrown and therefore only partially usable with an awning or tent. On our pitch there were bushes that were completely withered and took up about a quarter of the pitch. The sanitary facilities... are more than outdated, although they are cleaned several times a day aaaaber....... The small store and the restaurant are really great. The best thing about this campsite is its beach, very large and with a fantastic view, and its proximity to Cannobio. The price policy of the campsite is also unacceptable in our opinion.Traducido automáticamente.
- Mathias H.August 2018Ventajasvery green, located directly on the lake with beach, electricity all-inclusiveDesventajasQuite small pitches, quite noisy due to high pitch density, not suitable for small childrenGreen space with direct access to the lakeWe stayed at the campsite from 29.08. - 03.08.2018. We are actually always on the lookout for small, fine campsites that are more of an insider tip and where you can find peace and quiet. Here at the Riviera campsite, we were disappointed at first as it is quite noisy because there are a lot of guests... here and the pitches are quite tightly packed. After a day, however, we had come to terms with the situation, as here on Lake Maggiore you are not in Sweden, where we were very often, but in a very popular and lively place in Italy, where the space is also more limited. The site is very green and full of old and large trees. The pitches are separated by hedges of oleander bushes and other native plants. The site is very clean and well-kept. The sanitary facilities are just as clean, but there are no facilities specially designed for children. The campsite has little to offer for children. There is only a very small mini playground, which is more suitable for children up to the age of 3. It is ideal for water sports enthusiasts, SUP riders, divers and other activities. The beach is rocky and bathing shoes are recommended. It is difficult for very large caravans or motorhomes. Max. I would estimate a maximum size of 7.50 m, otherwise they won't fit on the pitches. Connobio is a very nice place with a beautiful promenade. A little insider tip is the church of St. Anna, about 4 km away. Here you can swim in crystal-clear water and jump off the rocks if you like. You can take a SUP into the caves, which is really great. However, the water temperature is 15-18 °C as the lake is fed by mountain water. There is a small store and two restaurants on site where you can eat well. The staff were friendly throughout. We would come again.Traducido automáticamente.
- Gobi N.July 2018VentajasLocation, atmosphere, friendliness, facilities. My favorite placeThe location by the lake and the pitches, which are separated by bushes and flowers, remind me of camping in the past. Before the 4* Womo campers raised the standards (sauna in IT in summer) and pushed up the prices for things that a camper doesn't necessarily need. The location on the lake, 10 minutes... to the promenade, with the mountain bike along the river into the mountains. Of course there are children on the site, but like dogs, they are also part of camping. The sanitary facilities are sufficient, functional, clean and distributed around the site in frequent numbers (4 buildings). If you are looking for a beer bar with home cooking and snacks, you will find them in the restaurant at the entrance to the site. If you want really good, typical Italian food, the second restaurant "Gourmet a Lago da Mirco" is the place to go. Angela and Mirco run a really lovely, original Italian restaurant here. "Delicious"! Basically, we find exactly what a couple on vacation with a dog needs on the campsite. T HuffysTraducido automáticamente.
- Luzia W.March 2018VentajasBeautiful place, the direct location on the beach and the city is within walking distance.DesventajasNot for usThe most beautiful plots, gladly againFor us, one of the most beautiful pitches with the plots all separated by trees/shrubs. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated, but always clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly. The small store on site has everything you need and if not, you can walk into town in no time. The campsite is located on the beach and the river.Traducido automáticamente.
- Andre S.August 2017VentajasVery nice place with a typical camping gastronomy and a great upscale gastronomy (Gourmet al Lago). Very shady and quiet.Desventajas1 ) Our motorhome 750 cm and 300 cm high ...was at the absolute limit to get up there (despite reservation with indication of size)It was a great vacation (end of August 2017)Very nice place with a typical camping gastronomy and a great upscale gastronomy (Gourmet al Lago). Very shady and quiet. The campsite is full of regular guests, the sanitary facilities are simple but more than adequate, everything is very nice, friendly, clean and well-kept. The beach (stones) is always... almost empty as it is reserved for campers only and nobody was bothered by our dog, who had a swim at lunchtime ...... It's a 5-minute walk into town (so the location is perfect)Traducido automáticamente.
- Caterina W.August 2017VentajasYou can have a very relaxed vacation, have a nice place, great campers, a nice little town and beautiful excursion destinations without a car.DesventajasDo not take up space at the wash houses Sanitary facilities could be renewed.Wonderful summer vacationWe returned today from our 2-week summer vacation at this campsite and were totally enchanted by the wonderful time we had there with our children. At first it took us a while to settle in and find our bearings, but on this campsite you are surrounded by great, very different people who gave you lots... of great tips. The campsite has wonderful plants that provide lots of shady spots and create a cozy atmosphere. The pitches right by the lake are great, but you have to reserve them for the summer and they are a bit more expensive with an extra charge. We didn't find the pitches by the river so special, at least the extra charge is not justified there and at night you get the full volume of the club at the lido. There are no permanent campers there and there is a lively exchange. There is a very uncomplicated, individual philosophy, the people love simplicity and it has a very special, endearing character - so absolutely nothing for mainstream campers looking for a slide park...and we thought that was great!!! The sanitary facilities are old, but mostly clean. We found it stupid that the showers are in the same room as the toilets...you could both smell and hear this while showering:-(. Otherwise, the site is well maintained and the team is very nice and helpful. In the small supermarket you will find many selected products from the region, good wines, fresh cheese and sausage counters and Italian baked goods every morning! You can get almost everything there and don't have to shop in the expensive carrefour in town. The town has many small stores where you can also buy fresh pasta or fish. A trip to St. Anna and St. Agatha is a must!!! There is a beach by the lake with plenty of space and beautiful trees, you will always find shade. Don't forget your hammock and if you don't like the rough beach, you should pack your bathing shoes! The water is very clean and very shallow for children, especially on the river side. The view of the Alps makes it very difficult to say goodbye... we didn't like leaving today and will be back and then directly to the lake!!!Traducido automáticamente.
- Stefan M.August 2016VentajasLocation, own beach, close to townDesventajasno free wifi, river pitches same surcharge as lake view pitches, although not justified Contact at reception rather cold than friendly.Expensive campsite in a beautiful locationnice place right on the lake, everything well maintained. But 43€ (2 people, Vw bus WITHOUT electricity) for a small pitch behind the toilet block with a view through a wire mesh fence onto a half-dried river ("lake view" 6€ extra!) I find far too expensive. And WLAN also costs extra. So if you have enough camping money, you can certainly spend a nice vacation here. I just don't think the price-performance ratio is okay.Traducido automáticamente.
- Norbert E.May 2016VentajasBeautiful placeDesventajasUnfriendly owner, outdated sanitary facilitiesUnfriendly operatorInstead of a friendly hello, we were greeted with the words "dog on a lead". My wife replied "the dog is on the leash" and in the evening the gentleman stood behind the trees and made sure that you left the place with the dog so that the dog could do its business. It goes without saying that you clean... up after your dog. I have rarely experienced anything so unfriendly. Apparently the gentleman no longer needs it, there are enough idiots who pay. Not us anymore. Norbert EngelTraducido automáticamente.Respondido de Campeggio Riviera May 18, 2016Mr. Engel
With 500-600 guests it is normal that you have to follow the rules... so sometimes you have to be strict, if the dog is now on a long leash, you can probably understand yourself that it is then difficult to stop the dog and take it outside - unfortunately there are always guests who let the... dogs do their business on the pitches again and again, without respect and without then taking the business away in a bag... - and then perhaps where children are playing.
The fact that the "master" is behind the trees is really ridiculous - this is definitely not true! We have other things to do.
Only if you see someone not following the rules is it pointed out.
We have many regular guests who have been coming to us for over 40-50 years... and everyone appreciates our love of tidiness and hospitality.
In order to keep the campsite tidy and clean, controls and rules are also necessary!
But if you think that a long leash is okay, then unfortunately this is not possible with us...
With kind regards, Camping RivieraTraducido automáticamente.
