Quiet, beautiful place in a great landscape
PLACE: Within sight and earshot of the Atlantic Ocean. Sea view from the pitch as well as from the playground, sink, etc. Terraced pitches, some with a relatively steep slope, chocks required. Hedges and trees, some shade, very pleasant. There was always some wind (July), possibly very windy at other... times of the year. ----------------------- BEACH: Beautiful beach a short distance from the campsite. Fine sandy beach, but always wet as the tide comes right up to the top. Very clean water, no garbage, very little seaweed. ----------------------- RECEPTION: Very nice welcome, owners of the campsite are very keen to make your stay pleasant, we felt very welcome. Bread rolls sold in the morning. Pitch was kept very clean, after a windy night the fallen leaves were meticulously swept off the path. -------------------------- SANITARY: Toilets are made of plastic cubicles, which takes some getting used to, but very clean. Wash cubicles and showers clean, older but functional. Negative: No toilet paper, no soap available. --------------------------- SWIMMING POOL: Not very big, but for us the best on the tour. Covered pool plus small outdoor children's pool + slide. Very clean, heated water. --------------------------- KIDS: Small playground, nicely done, centrally located. Another playground opposite the campsite for slightly older children. Go-kart rental, but quite expensive. ---------------------------- OTHER: Good excursion options, e.g. to Locronan, the Crozon peninsula, Pointe du Raz... Good shopping facilities in Plomodiern
