- Atan Z.May 2024VentajasPool, peace, nature, trees, river, friendlinessDesventajasGastronomyTop campsite !A great space for me. It's big but not at all conspicuous. You arrive and choose a pitch. The pitches are in the middle of the forest. You have to be careful that the awning is still out, but it's wonderful to stand between the trees. When you open the door in the morning and hear the birds chirping... and your feet hit the forest floor...... is simply wonderful. You don't really hear any noises because the forest ``swallows'' most of them.
You can walk to the riverbank. There is also a large open meadow where some people have played and camped.
Nearby is the Pont du Gard viaduct. You have to see it. There is a wide river below which is ideal for swimming.
The campsite is about 10 minutes from the highway. So a good stopover if you want to continue to Spain or (like us) are coming from Spain.
There is also a pool with a children's area and a huge sports field. There is also a small shop selling baguettes in the morning. But you have to leave the campsite for real shopping. However, Lidel is nearby, as is a petrol station etc.....
Now to the disadvantages:
The restaurant / bistro. The service is super nice, friendly and attentive. The food was nothing at all.... We had pizza and salad with turkey strips plus an Orangina and two Aperol Spritz for almost 60 euros. The salad would have been a starter salad at my Italian restaurant and cost 17 euros.
Nevertheless, I would go back.Traducido automáticamente. - Christel M.August 2023VentajasSwimming in the pool and river. Close to the Pont-du-gardDesventajasnoneA very nice place to relaxThe campsite is a well-managed site, very close to the Pont-du-gard (within walking distance). It has a swimming pool and the possibility of swimming in the river.
Restaurant and food on site. Sanitary facilities and site very clean.Traducido automáticamente. - erwin v.April 2023Ventajasnone I thinkDesventajasplaces for dish were in far corner far away from all facilitiesstopoverwas good for 1 overnight stay, probably something to do here but I didn't see much of that, big places but narrow roads to get there. As a transit campground suitable but I think next time I will stay a little closer to the highwayTraducido automáticamente.
- Chris L.May 2022VentajasVery good location, very close to the Pont-du-Gard, friendly staffDesventajasnothing to complain aboutGood location, very quietDrove by spontaneously and got a campsite. Very friendly welcome. Large area in the forest (nature sounds included ;-) )Traducido automáticamente.
- Peter G.October 2019VentajasThe location and size. Ideal with dogs (we were there with 4 huskies)Large pitches distributed in the forestThe bridge is easily accessible on foot. Further hiking trails or mountain biking to other traces of the aqueduct. Approx. 2km to the village with shopping facilities and really nice side streets. The campsite is nevertheless in a quiet location with large pitches in the forest. Access to the river at the back. Delicious food in the bistro.Traducido automáticamente.
- Jens S.August 2019VentajasUncomplicated overnight accommodation close to the highwayIdeal place to spend the night facing south or northWell suited for overnight stays. Distance to the highway about 8km. Sanitary facilities no longer up to date (unisex). Pitch extremely dusty and hard as concrete. Gastronomy so la la and clearly too expensive for what is on offer. Be sure to reserve in August. Place was packed!Traducido automáticamente.
- Peter P.July 2019VentajasShort walk to the Pont du GardDesventajasSanitary facilities from the 90sSuitable for transitThe campsite is beautifully situated by the river, you can walk to the Pont du Gard. Supermarket and restaurant only conditionally recommendable. Sanitary facilities are from the 90s. Suitable for transit, after 19:30 apparently arrival only with reservation in advance.

- Wolfgang G.April 2019VentajasNo shortage of parking spaces due to the natural vegetationDesventajasInadequate site lightingNatural site next to the Pont du GardThe pitches, which vary in size, are mostly under trees and only have these as boundaries. There is no gender segregation in the sanitary building. Everything was always clean at the end of March. Baguettes were available to pre-order at the registration desk. Lidl and Carrefour are about 4 km away. The Pont du Gard can be reached on foot in 500 m. A great new cycle path leads to Beaucaire on a former railroad line.Traducido automáticamente.
- Sigrid B.March 2019VentajasQuiet, beautiful greenery, good cycling and hiking trails, friendly staff, camping sites with and without shade.DesventajasCan get very loud during light festivals at the Pont du Gard.A campsite to slow down. The campsite is within walking distance of the Pont Du Gard viaduct, a monumental structure that you should visit at least once. the campsite itself is situated on the Gardon river, which is so clean and clear that swimming in the summer is great fun. the nearby town of Remoulins also offers kayak tours... on the Gardon. it is just 50 km to Avignon, my favorite city in France. the campsite itself has a large sports field, a tennis court and a swimming pool.Traducido automáticamente.
- Thomas W.September 2018VentajasWell and centrally locatedDesventajasNot for usRustic but beautifully situatedThe place is more rustic. Pitches o.k. Infrastructure too. Mixed sanitary facilities for men and women. But no problemTraducido automáticamente.
- Heiko P.July 2018VentajasLocationDesventajasSanitaryBeautiful place in the forestPitches I like super In the forest between trees, looks a bit wild but nice but not so strict next to each other, you have to drive often between the trees, but there is enough space. The drawback are the sanitary no toilet seats, standing toilets like in the old days in France (but sometimes has advantages) Everything looks pretty outdated, in the sanitary rooms strong smell, showers hot not controllable, do not forget Sagrotan when pooping :-)Traducido automáticamente.
- Roman W.June 2018VentajasClose to the Pint du Gard. Very cleanDesventajasNothing noticedVisit to Pont du GardWe were looking for a campsite near the Pontdu Gard and were surprised to find such a well-kept site. Highly recommended.Traducido automáticamente.
- Michèl+Beatrice R.June 2018VentajasClean pitches and clean sanitary facilities nice store, Pont du Gard within walking distance simply beautifulDesventajasNot for usVery nice place in the beautiful forestWe were in June on this beautiful place.after checking in we could choose a place (important for large motorhomes and caravans, first go on foot).the place impresses with a clean sanitary facility and a nice pool.in the morning you can also get bread without pre-ordering and the small market has the... most important things.Small restaurant on site.Pont du Gard is a 5-minute walk away.shopping possible 15 minutes by bike. When it rains, the place turns into a swamp and it is advisable to stow all material.electricity columns on site but is partly deducted from other places. 6Amper is not enough for a column for roof air conditioning, etc.. Almost forgot in the pool for men only tight swimming trunks no shorts At the beginning of June big fireworks at the bridge on 2 evenings necessarily reserve a huge spectacleTraducido automáticamente.
- martin o.May 2018VentajasLocation. Peace and quiet.DesventajasNoneNice placeFriendly reception. Store was only open in the mornings were there in low season nearest supermarket about 2-3 km away. Small bistro with take-away dishes, we were there once, my dish came from the freezer and was heated in the microwave, there was still ice cream in the middle of the plate. Beautiful... pitches partly under holm oaks. Sanitary is unisex and has simple facilities and as usual in France WC without seat. Pont du Gard is a few steps away.Traducido automáticamente.
- Corina H.March 2018VentajasProximity to the highway, cleanliness and QUIETDesventajasNONEQuiet and close to the highwayNice staff. Probably the best wash house we know in France; clean, UNISEx, but heated shower area !!! There was also a washbasin and soap !!! Great site, wooded area, quiet, walking distance to the Pont du Gard, shopping facilities nearby. Delicious and cheap pizza from the campsite's own restaurant. Only 5 km to the highway.Traducido automáticamente.

- Holger K.September 2017Ventajas- Campsite fits wonderfully into the landscape, beautiful beach, very good language skills at receptionVery close to the Pont du Gard - and yet wonderfully quietWe stayed there for one night on our way back from the south of France (September 3rd). The reception surprised us with a perfect knowledge of German and a shortcut to the PontduGard (but then you can't go to the museum, which we really liked). It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the PdG + 5 to the... museum & Co. Due to the travel time it was already very quiet and you could choose your pitch in peace. All the pitches seemed exceptionally large to me and fit in with the landscape (not the other way around). There is a small store, a restaurant and a swimming pool (always good for the kids).Traducido automáticamente.
- Steff d.September 2017VentajasGreat pitches in the middle of nature Beautiful location to the river and the Pont du Gare Nice people and great atmosphere Bread roll serviceDesventajasSanitary facilities could be renewed and brought up to date. The restaurant still has "room for improvement"Great camping with small quirksGreat campsite, nice atmosphere thanks to the "natural" and "wild" pitches. Great location by the river and close to the Pont du Gare. We felt very comfortable, although the restaurant still has room for improvement and the (not always clean) sanitary facilities are no longer "state of the art" for four stars.Traducido automáticamente.
- Silvia H.June 2017VentajasBeautiful camp. Best location for Pont du Gard. Good, clean sanitary facilitiesDesventajasnoneBeautiful camp near the Pont du GardArrived late afternoon with other vacationers at the same time. Check in was quick, competent and spoke good English. Camp was very quiet, in the middle of the forest, was already well filled in June, but far from full. Sanitary facilities were quite nice and very clean. Pont du Gard was a ten minute walk away. We were only here for one night but could have stayed much longerTraducido automáticamente.
