- Antonio F.July 2022VentajasLocation, reception, organization of the facilityDesventajasnoneThere is nothing to complain aboutI spent a pleasant night in a quiet, simple and very friendly environment. Of particular note, I point out that the Sanctuary (oldest in Portugal) is a 5-minute walk away; from there you can see below the long staircase down into the village.Traducido automáticamente.
- Steffi und Christian L.June 2019VentajasIdeal for visiting the Douro Valley. Quiet. Easy to reach from the highway. Lidl and other stores available in the town.Small but nice placeAn ideal starting point for visiting the Douro Valley. The site is very easy to reach with a caravan. A truck fits through the access road! The staff are very friendly. The sanitary facilities are exemplary. Outstanding view. All in all, highly recommended. From here you can drive on very beautiful roads... by motorcycle or car. It is also worth driving out of the valley. You should definitely take a train ride to Pinhao and back by boat. It is well worth it.Traducido automáticamente.
- Christian E.June 2018VentajasLocation, close to the city, very clean, very friendly operatorsDesventajasMay be booked out quickly in the high season....More pitch than campsite, friendly operators, great little placeThe site is (at least for caravans and motorhomes) more of a parking space than a campsite. The access road is steep and the entrance gate is 2.4 m wide, leaving little space between the outside mirrors and the walls. The pitches are located in front of and behind the building with a view of the valley... (not directly of the town). The ground is bare and firm and also suitable for heavy vehicles. The front part of the site is shaded by trees. The whole site, including the building and sanitary facilities, is very clean. The operators are extremely friendly and helpful. As described, it's a 10-minute walk to the church, then there are a few hundred steps down to the town.....Tip: be sure to go to the church in the evening and enjoy the view at night (don't forget a flashlight, as some of the paths are unlit). Tip number 2: the owners sell great wines from the region.Traducido automáticamente.

- Arta Georg D.April 2017Ventajas- Small, familiar and quiet place - Excellently equipped - Friendly and careful operatorsDesventajasNone to be foundSmall campsite with excellent facilities and good serviceWe arrived at the campsite in mid-April 2017. The campsite was always busy during our stay. It is not far from the center of Lamego, high above it and therefore remote and quiet. The sanitary facilities are exemplary. Shower, hand basin, toilet, bidet - all in one "bathroom". No need to move from the... shower to the washbasin to the toilet. Really very pleasant. As good as the equipment is, the care of the facilities is just as good: Everything is top notch! Unfortunately, the pitches are very tight. They are more suitable for motorhomes (compact to medium-sized) than for caravans and cars. The access road to the campsite was not easy to find, also because the signage is probably more aimed at avoiding traffic in the city. It is very steep in places. Due to the location close to but high above the city, a stroll through the city on foot is possible (and beautiful) if you don't have a problem with the almost 700 steps to the Santuario Nossa Senhora dos Remédios. We made several tours into the Douro Valley from here. The site is conveniently located. The surrounding area is very mountainous. Narrow and winding roads are the result. So you have to plan enough time (also from other locations!)Traducido automáticamente.
- Paul G.October 2015Just fantastic! The best place we stayed in our camper van in Portugal.Wonderful. Has everything we could have wanted. Very friendly and peaceful, whilst town very accessible. Very personable host. And we rate their wine! Couldn't recommend too highly,
- Andreas und Petra S.October 2014Insider tipSmall pitch on a slope with a view over the town of Lamego. Level surface of fine gravel. A few trees provide shade. Steep access, free choice of pitches and free WLAN. Particularly noteworthy are the 6 bathrooms with shower and WC. The men's bathroom also has a urinal and the women's has a bidet (see... photos). Cosy bar (beer 0.33 = €1) Bread rolls can be ordered for the next morning. There is a rear exit at the CP to the pilgrimage church "Nossa Senhora dos Remedios", from where you can reach the church in 5 minutes without having to climb the 650 steps. At the beginning of October '14, we paid €15 for a camper van with 2 people including electricity.Traducido automáticamente.
