However, you can also walk along the road to the town and the Stazzione in about 25 minutes. Yes, you can also hike from the campsite along some of the beautiful paths through the adjacent NP, but you have to walk about 2 km up or down the road, which is not really pleasant. During our stay of 3 nights we walked around the ret fo the tsite whcih is quite hilly. A bit liek La Pineta nearby the rest looked like a shanty town and we were a bit shocked - tents and vans all very close together. the main set up appeared to be lots of uts with a caravan attached with an awning, cheek by jowl. We had a pleasant stay but would not be sure about the other pitches on the site as a bit cramped and down market. However, a lot of this is casued by the hilly terrain.
