When that place feel through due to cost and loud, party atmosphere, we arrived to find this municipal site quiet and peaceful and CHEAP. I think we paid something like 25 Euros for 4 adults and one child. We got... a site right next to the river and spent our mornings and evenings looking out over the Loire while eating and drinking. Bathrooms are clean with free hot showers. Site lies at the intersection of several Loire bike paths, so there are limitless opportunities to bike and see the chateaux and sample wine. You can walk and get fresh bread in the morning. Wifi worked great. Staff was extremely helpful in all aspects. This site is not for you if you require: 1. a large entertainment program for yourself or for your kids 2. onsite restaurants, wellness center, or whirlpool This site is for you if you are happy with: 1. large, grassy sites in a natural setting 2. making your own travel arrangements and organizing your own activities We absolutely loved this site and would definitely go back. As a whole, we find French municipal sites to be a great value; and we will continue to frequent them whenever possible.
