"Beautiful place with unbeatable views - The location of the campsite is the real highlight: directly above the coast of Omaha Beach with the very best view of the beach and coastline. Super! There are also pitches that offer this view directly from the motorhome, in which case the access road is a little bumpier. Ask at reception beforehand if you specifically want to stand there. The pitch is at the end of a cul-de-sac, so it's super quiet except for the sound of the sea and the seagulls. There are also various mobile homes, but the number of tourist pitches dominates the site. The pitches without shade are all on grass, parceled out with half-height hedges (with a sea view you are "freer") and are generously sized. There are two wash houses (all ok & quite clean, no toilet seats, but paper), a small covered swimming pool and a small store with bread roll service. The restaurant/café is also surprisingly good for a campsite. Vierville-sur-Mer is more of a very small village than a town and there is only one small store with a correspondingly limited range of products. The reception is friendly and professional and English-speaking, as is the store and restaurant. You walk down a small path to the beach, which promptly leads past a few old World War II bunkers. It's just Omaha Beach...  At the time of D-Day there was a lot of coming and going, hardly anyone stayed more than two or three nights. We felt quite comfortable, the site is beautifully situated on the coast and you can immediately take a great bike path above the cliffs to the Pointe du Hoc. Super!

"Great place on Omaha Beach - Beautiful spot above the cliffs with direct (but steep) access to the beach. Beautiful view of the sea. Sanitary facilities are ok and very clean. Bread can be ordered via QR code.

"Beautifully situated campsite - The reception is very friendly, there are bread rolls/baguettes to order in advance. We had a pitch with a sea view, beautifully situated on this historic beach. The sanitary facilities are basic, but were always clean despite full occupancy.

"Beautiful campsite - The poor ratings of the past have probably disappeared - for whatever reason. In detail: The site scores with its excellent location on a plateau above Omaha Beach with direct access to the beach. It is very quiet, but very exposed to the wind, so you should consider putting up awnings. I took mine down after the second restless night. Some of the pitches (without dividing hedges!) have a direct sea view, which is paid for with a surcharge on the price. Otherwise, the site is divided up by hedges with sufficiently large pitches, although there is also a mixture of pitches and mobile homes. The sanitary facilities are located in two buildings in the middle of the site, are very clean and well maintained and were brought up to a modern standard not too long ago. In particular, the shower cubicles (nine per house, plus eight wash cubicles per house) with adjustable temperature are larger than average and have plenty of shelves and hooks. The toilets are located on the outside. It remains to be seen whether they will be able to cope with the expected rush when fully occupied. Urinals, a dog shower and a free freezer for cooling elements are available. There is a washing machine (for a fee) in a third building. There is an emptying facility for chemical toilets at a wash house and one for mobile homes. The latter is located on an access road to the pitches and not at the entrance to the site as is usually the case. A long water hose is installed here, which is obviously intended to supply fresh water. However, it can also be used to clean the toilets, which is highly questionable from a hygiene point of view. There is a washing machine (for a fee) in a third building. There is an Epicerie on site with a manageable and expensive range of goods. Bread can be pre-ordered the day before. There is a small supermarket in the village; larger purchases are only possible about 15 kilometers away in Port - en - Bessin at a supermarket with a petrol station. There is a small and surprisingly good restaurant. The site also has a children's playground and a covered swimming pool. In my opinion, the electricity supply is sufficiently strong with ten amps. Unfortunately, there are only a few separate water taps on the site, so you have to use the wash houses. Another criticism is the expensive WLAN (€30 for two weeks). I found the operators to be friendly and courteous. Those interested in military history will get their money's worth, which is not surprising given the recent history. Bunkers and various D-Day museums almost make you forget that there are other places of interest such as Bayeux and the Swiss Normande.

"Great location, beautiful place - with some compromises - This summer I spent five nights here with my tent and motorcycle. The pitch with a sea view was a little more expensive, but the view justified the extra charge in my opinion, especially if - like me - you are there because of the historical background of the area. The staff at reception, the bar and the small "supermarket" were always friendly and helpful, but the "supermarket" was rather overstocked and a bit overpriced. You could pre-order baked goods for the following day (baguettes, croissants, chocolate rolls), which were very tasty, but also a bit expensive. The sanitary facilities were rather spartan (no hooks or similar in the shower cubicles, no hand dryers), and although they were cleaned at least once a day with a high-pressure cleaner, you could still smell that not everyone had hit the toilet bowl over time... In addition, not all toilet/shower cubicles could be closed or the lamps/light bulbs were defective. All in all, however, I liked it there and would go there again.

"Very nice place above the beach - Campsite with partial sea view, quiet and camper pitches separated by hedges. Super beach below the campsite (short walk). Delicious baguettes every morning in the store.

El Flower Camping Omaha Beach está situado directamente en la playa de Omaha, en Normandía, cerca de Vierville-sur-Mer. Desde los acantilados sobre el océano Atlántico se contempla el mar. Recoger conchas, disfrutar de la tranquilidad o aprender historia: aquí todo vale. Todas las mañanas horneamos pan y bollería por encargo. Nuestro restaurante con terraza le ofrece una vista panorámica del mar. La cocina sencilla y acogedora le permite comer en familia mientras disfruta de diversas actividades. Hamburguesas rápidas para llevar, kebabs ... (julio / agosto) El bar y la tienda de comestibles están abiertos todo el día en temporada alta. Parcelas junto al mar Las parcelas, en buen estado, se encuentran en el camping. Aquí no hay árboles, pero sí setos para separarlas. Podrá disfrutar del aire fresco del mar en su parcela. Las parcelas más bonitas están en las terrazas junto a la playa. Puede aparcar su caravana en lo alto de la playa y el mar. Las parcelas no están valladas y las vistas son fantásticas. Jugar en el camping Llévese a toda la familia de vacaciones. Chapotee con sus hijos en la piscina cubierta o salte en el castillo hinchable. Sus hijos no se aburrirán. También hay un club infantil para los más pequeños. Los mayores suelen jugar al fútbol o al baloncesto. Playa de Omaha La historia de Omaha Beach sigue viva aquí. Aprende todo sobre ella en el museo de la guerra que hay cerca del camping o visita alguno de los otros monumentos o búnkeres de la zona. En la propia playa no queda nada de lo que ocurrió entonces. Aquí, sobre todo, encontrará paz y tranquilidad. Baje por un sendero empinado desde el camping hasta la playa. Busque conchas con los niños y admire los altos acantilados.
