The reception is very friendly. The pitches are beautifully situated and you can see the mountains from practically every pitch. Although the road is nearby, the site is very quiet at night. The toilet facilities are clean and the showers are included... in the price. You can only buy the essentials at the kiosk, but there is a bakery and a grocery store in the village about 300m away on foot. The Volg is open on Sunday mornings. A bread roll service from the bakery is available in high season. From Aeschi "Post" there is a bus to Spiez every 30 minutes. The bus stop directly at the CP is served every hour. The bus has a bike rack. A great starting point for the whole of the Bernese Oberland. Motorhomes with a large overhang should inspect the campsite well in advance and drive a little way around the inclines.
