"So so la la - We have often driven past this place. This year we finally managed to make a stop. As we are looking for peace and quiet and like to have easy access to the sea, we were definitely in the wrong place here. The pool bar, pool and leisure facilities such as basketball or volleyball are recommended. Marathopoli, which is easy to reach on foot, with its nice restaurants was definitely worth the stop.

"Beautiful place with pool - Small campsite right by the sea but access to the water only via a ladder. Very nice for snorkeling - lots of sea urchins! Pool area older but very nice and well maintained. - Pool bar with snacks but no restaurant on site. 10 minutes across the beach to Marathopoli - lots of tavernas and two stores. Only a few minutes by bike or car to the beautiful sandy beach of Lagkouvardos.

"Decent, better for a short stop - We spent here a couple of weeks in a tent with our family and other friends. Pitches are well defined with good enough shadow, though mainly by artificial nets. There are wide spaces with no shadow at all for larger campers. The pool is very big and it attracts Greeks people to come from out of the camp, which is quite noisy up to late night. The coast is rocky, with only one point to access the sea for swimming. Beaches are available only by car. The main house for sanitary is not very big so sometime you had to wait in line. Accetably clean. There is a second toilet, but only for emergency case. Going around we saw other campsite in the region that looked higher quality and better location. Fortunately the staff was very kind and helpful.

" - The campsite has a swimming pool disproportionate to the overall structure that could be on the whole improved both in the groups hygienic services conform to the normality of Greek camping or dilapidated and not exactly clean. The entrance as well as the pitches are not suitable for large vehicles >3.60mt but the owner manages to make up for the shortcomings by showing kindness and maximum availability so as to allow you to stop in the .. garden of the pool! Potentially the whole structure as well as the surroundings (Maratopolis) can improve the reception of tourists

In a magical region of the Peloponnese in the southwestern edge of Messinia, overlooking the endless blue of the Ionian Sea and the imposing island "Proti", we created our small paradise. In a total green area of 20,000 m2 close …to the sea awaits you a modern and functional enviroment for the most comfortable holidays. The Olympic size swimming pool surrounded by the 24h pool bar-cafe promise relaxing and joyfull moments. To make your accomodation more pleasant we provide a beach volley court, a basket court as well as a playground. We also offer swimming lessons for our young friends. For those of you who are more active you can have dive lessons discovering the beauties of sea ground. On our family run campsite with started point our many years of experience and with respect to the enviroment and the camper a warm and friendly atmosphere awaits you

Located in heart of the south coast of messinia near Marathopolis a small village of about 750 habitants, located among the towns of Pylos and Kyparissia (30 km), just 7 km far from the town of Gargaliani, camping proti provides …an easy pass to the archaeological and natural monuments the region. Marathopolis village or Marathos belongs to the province of Triphylia. It is a location on the southwest place of Messinia. It is a fishermen`s village along the sea with wonderful seashores and beaches all around. The local people are engaged in two main activities: fishing on one hand and production of agricultural products, and especially olive oil, on the other.Marathopolis village is mainly a summer destination. On the pedestrian street along the sea, are many taverns and cafes. The port with the fishing boats has been a constant attraction for an evening stroll. From there, it is worth taking the little boat and crossing over to the beautiful island of Proti. From October until April, Langouvardos beach is the ideal place for surf. Many surfers around Europe visit this beach throughout all this period. (Distance: 2km).
