"Beautiful small campsite by the lake - We (two adults, one 6-year-old child) enjoyed our time VERY much! The view of the lake, the opportunity to make a campfire in the evening, the very friendly operators, the great mini golf course, the boat rental, the delicious pastries and the peaceful atmosphere all helped to make the vacation a complete success. There is also plenty to experience away from the campsite: Visits to various glassblowing workshops, trips to moose parks, great bike rides through the woods, etc. The adjacent road is audible, but not particularly disturbing. The sanitary facilities are clean and functional, even if they are a bit old. Use is free for campers (no additional shower chips or similar required). If you like, you can order bread rolls for breakfast the day before or buy delicious sweet pastries during the day. The boat rental offers canoes, rowing boats and SUPs by the hour or day at reasonable prices. The pitches are spacious, so we had plenty of room to set up a table and chairs outside the awning with our caravan and large awning and enjoy breakfast with a view of the lake. Many thanks to Romy and Chris for letting us stay at your fantastic campsite!

"Great CP in a very nice location on the lake - Discovered as a stopover on a tour to northern Sweden and spontaneously extended, which speaks for the qualities of this very beautifully located CP. The campsite is a manageable size and in some areas is reminiscent of nature campsites in much more northerly parts of the country. Pleasant atmosphere, you immediately feel at home even as a solo camper. A repeat visit is therefore not out of the question - an absolute recommendation.

"Let your mind wander and relax. - I finally lost my heart to Sweden at this wonderful place. We were given a very friendly and uncomplicated welcome by the owner couple Romy + Chris. We really appreciated the direct access to Lake Orranäsasjön for swimming. There is a lot to discover in the glass kingdom (Glasriket). Let Chris + Romy give you tips accordingly. There is extensive information material in several languages in the entrance area.

"Cozy CP with nice owners. - The campsite is lovingly run by a German couple. The campsite is located on a large lake and of course has a bathing area with a jetty and a very good mini-golf course on the campsite itself. In the surrounding area you can go hiking, cycling, fishing or explore the lake by canoe. There is a small store in the village. The nearest larger town is Nybro, where you can get everything you need. I also recommend the Belgian waffles on the campsite. All in all, I can only recommend the campsite.

Perfil

While visiting the south part of Sweden with its numerous lakes and never-ending woods, you should allow some time for a trip to the Kingdom of Crystal, where glass design has a more than hundred years old tradition. In addition …to the glassworks of Orrefors, Kosta, Maleras, Boda, etc there are multitudinous individual glass artists, who provide an insight into this craftwork. We would like to recommend our campground as a basis for the exploration of all these places of interest. We are Romy and Chris and we have taken over Orrefors- Camping in the summer of 2006. It is our best effort to offer our guest a stay close to nature without the abdication of the familiar conveniences. Orrefors- Camping is a peninsula in the lake Orranäsasjön. It has an area of aproximately 6 hectare, which is about 3 km north-west of Orreforts and therefore in the centre of the Glasriket. The campground provides fifty campsites with power, which are in parts located directly at the lake, as well as two large meadows with aproximately thirty campsites and one campground for our autarkic guests. The entire campground is covered over with old tree population, which spend enough shadow during the hot summers. As an answer of the multiple requests of our guests we arranged a couple of fireplaces, so that you can end the day sitting in a group and socializing next to a campfire. For visitors without mobile accomodation we have our “Stugas”, each with 2-4 beds, as cheap alternatives to hostels or hotels. Nearby, there are heated shower- and bathrooms as well as a scullery with ovens and microwaves for free use. As a matter of course we offer facilities to wash and dry. Guests with campmobiles can use our disposal and mainenance unit at no charge. The possibilities for leisure time activities at our campground are very multifaceted. For water-loving guests we have a large swimming area inculding a lawn for sunbathing and a swimming platform. Also exciting is an canoe expedition on the lake (aproximatly 130 hectare) and the joining waterways, for example to Orrefors. If you are not luckily enough to see an elk on one of those expedition, you still have the chance to visit the Älgpark Grönåsen, where you will see an elk for sure. Do not miss bringing your angling equipment. Is there anything better than preparing a self-caught fish at the campfire at night? If the weather god was contrary to expectations in a bad mood, you still have the alternative to visit our campground restaurant. To burn the excessive calories you ingested there, you could use one of the following offers: miniature golf, volleyball, boule, long bike and walking tours. Do you have a pet? No problem, it is more than welcome together with it’s owners. Finally, we would like to mention, that the campground is handicaped accessible.
