- Amy G.agosto 2015VentajasVery favorable placeDesventajasLong distancesVery inexpensive placeWe only used the campsite to stay overnight when we were passing through. The site is situated on a slope with a great view of the Atlantic. The pitches were cramped but acceptable. The site is bordered on one side by tall residential buildings. The reception staff were very friendly, as were the security... staff. You first have to choose a pitch on foot and then register. We only paid €11.00 for an overnight stay for a large motorhome. The self-service restaurant is not recommended.Traducido automáticamente.
- Patrick S.agosto 2013The campsite gives you a very friendly welcome straight away. At reception, you are served quickly and English is spoken (even though we were able to clarify everything in Portuguese). The pitches are marked with small colorful pegs and you can choose them yourself. The colors indicate the prices, which... are very reasonable. In the high season, we paid just €11 per night for a pitch with electricity. The most important thing for us is the sanitary facilities. There are plenty of them, but they are no longer up to date. You can clearly see that this is a municipal site. The reflective coating on the mirrors is peeling off, the fittings look a little worn and the paint could also be renewed. Here, however, you should bear in mind the price, which puts the whole thing into perspective again. However, the cleanliness can be considered acceptable. As already reported by others, it is cleaned twice a day, even if "only" with a water hose and detergent and then without drying again (you can see this on the fittings). But it is definitely very clean, which is of course also down to the users. The showers could get a bit draughty at times, as the wind was blowing in and it was sometimes quite chilly. You also had to be a bit careful as some of the showers didn't provide hot water. Despite the high season, we were almost on our own in the upper part. The pitches here are very sparsely surrounded by trees, which made it difficult to find shade. However, here you are a bit away from the permanent campers, where it can sometimes get louder ;-). Our pitch was in C7. Although the site is surrounded by roads, it has to be said that it is very quiet and we were never disturbed by road noise. The fish store on the site is sensational. Here you can buy fresh fish at a fair price and next door you can get fresh bread and rolls every day in the mini-mercado. This is also where some of the campsites are located, which in my opinion are not so conveniently situated as the terraces on which they are set up are in the sun all day long. The restaurant is located below the shopping facilities. There is a daily menu consisting of a soup, a main course (choice of fish or meat) and table wine for €6.90. We didn't eat there, but our neighbors said it was of acceptable quality. There is a snack bar next door and a football pitch and small playground below. Across the road is the beach, which is large enough (high season) and also supervised. Unfortunately, the beach is only partially suitable for surfing (a shame). For this you have to drive a few meters further and use a smaller beach (unguarded) in the direction of Vieira. The beach promenade has a few restaurants and bars and there are also several supermarkets in the town. The campsite is a good starting point for excursions to Leiria and Coimbra, which we did. You can drive in until 23:00, which is very convenient. In conclusion, you can probably summarize it like this: The pitch is absolutely fine for the price. It's a municipal site and, as we all know, money is not that loose. The site offers plenty of space and nice pitches. The fish stall in particular is not to be missed. A clear recommendation.Traducido automáticamente.
