    Good place with potential
    Difficult to find, signs only in South Shields; sanitary facilities recently completely renovated, small but very clean; staff very friendly. Bus and metro can be reached in 20 minutes. Newcastle is not recommended, if you still have time before the ferry, it is better to visit the Beamish Museum near Durham (also accessible by bus). No store on the CP, nearest TescoExpress 10 min walk

    Before we had to take the ferry back to the mainland, we visited the campsite for one night. Very nice staff, very clean site, but no atmosphere at all, long detour to the beach all the way around the outside. However, the beach itself was great for our children (2.5 and 5.5)!
