"Recommended campsite - This was our 5th time at this campsite and we felt very comfortable there. It is a very good starting point for trips to the Black Forest, the Kaiserstuhl and Freiburg, as well as cycling tours along the Rhine and to the towns in the surrounding area. Europa-Park Rust and nearby Alsace are also recommended destinations. There is a friendly atmosphere and help is available if you have any questions.

"10.9.22: To make others ashamed - I would like to tell you briefly about an experience that my daughter (27) and I (63) had on our return journey from Tuscany on 10.9.22 with my camper van in Herbolzheim (near the BAB 5, approx. 35 km north of Freiburg): We came from La Spezia that day, had already traveled 650 km and arrived at the Terrassencampingplatz Herbolzheim campsite, Im Laue 1, 79336 Herbolzheim at 9.30 pm. We were on the road for a long time that day due to several traffic jams at the Gotthart tunnel & in Italy, so we had also tried to announce our delay by phone, but there was only an answering machine. As is usual at many campsites, we had hoped to be able to stay in the parking lot of the campsite, which is even advertised as free, so that we could at least enjoy the sanitary facilities. A motorhome was already parked in the parking lot. The tenant/owner immediately approached us and asked if we knew what time it was. We tried to explain our delay and asked about the possibility of spending the night in the parking lot. The somewhat upset owner immediately said loudly that they wouldn't even start such a thing, it was out of the question for him. When asked about the motorhome, he said that this family was known to them. And we should please leave immediately. He didn't even want to give us the time to consult with them. Then he and his family (?) stood like a guard battalion in front of his gate and waited until we had left. These site operators should be ashamed of themselves! He didn't care at all about turning away two women traveling alone at this time of night. My daughter and I were very surprised, a little shocked, angry and didn't understand this procedure at all. We had to look for a new place to stay because we were overtired from the journey and then found a place to stay on our own in a forest parking lot. There we already had a bit of a

"Very good campsite! - Beautifully laid out and well-kept campsite in the middle of nature. Great heated swimming pool in the immediate vicinity.

"Recommended: hospitality course - The campground is located nicely enough, with a beautiful swimming pool less than 100 meters away. If you start hiking behind the campground you will find yourself in a particularly beautiful area. The campground also has a nice green appearance. Unfortunately for us the disadvantages outweighed the advantages. A very unkind owner who barks at you if you ask anything. WiFi sales that were very poor (even though he already knew the WiFi was very functional, we found out later). And a site where the caravan could not be put down properly. When we wanted to put caravan on other way we were forbidden by the owner.

"Beautiful campsite in the Black Forest - A clean small campsite with adjoining swimming pool, quiet terraced site, friendly, helpful, and absolutely relaxing. We were visitors to Europa-Park and will visit this site again.

"Beautiful place on the edge of the Black Forest - Beautifully situated site with courteous operator. Clean sanitary facilities with children's toilet. The covered drying area for laundry is clever! Very friendly service in the restaurant. Delicious pizza, recommended despite the small menu. Close to the outdoor pool. Pitches a bit small for today's standards.
