Very dirty and unkempt. The wash houses are an imposition as they are very dirty and smell unpleasant. Very noisy at night as someone is always having a party somewhere and cars are allowed to drive even after the night's rest. The pitches do not correspond to the category. Superior pitches are more like Comfort or Standard, as they are unkempt and the water connections are outdated. Staff are unfriendly and unhelpful.
Once and never again
Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right here. We expected more for the category of the campsite (service, friendliness, cleanliness).
The staff at reception are unfortunately very unfriendly, short tempered and unhelpful. When we booked, we were promised that we could choose a pitch in... the category we had booked. Unfortunately, this was not the case. We were allocated a pitch and despite asking, we couldn't choose another one. Even after we asked again after 2 days (we had looked at 3 or 4 pitches), we were told that the pitches had been allocated. When we left, the pitches were still free.
The wash houses are an imposition. Old wash houses are not bad, but dirty and smelly ones are not acceptable! There are far too few staff to clean the wash houses regularly and several times a day. It really stank in the morning. Garbage that was lying around in front of it in the evening could still be seen at 11 o'clock in the morning. There is generally a lot of garbage lying around the campsite, even days later.
It's very loud at night. There's always a party going on somewhere, either on the site or in the surrounding area (sometimes until 4am at the weekend), and cars and motorcycles are also driving around the site despite it being quiet at night.
In general, you get the feeling that the management doesn't feel responsible for the site and is only interested in the money. You have to pay extra for everything (even to use the table tennis table).
We have been to many campsites, large, small, new, older, but never to such a bad one. Once and never again!

We had a pitch in the 3000 area which was relatively expensive (but we knew this beforehand), but acceptable for a size of around 150 m2. It was very quiet, the sea right outside the door, what more could you need. The sanitary facilities in this area were relatively small but adequate and very clean. The reception staff were very friendly and flexible, we didn't use any other facilities. You can get to Medulin quickly by bike.

Once at Camping Kažela, ... never again!
As I said, the pitches are at the very edge of the site. There is a "road" outside the campsite that runs parallel to the campsite. If a jeep or quad safari drives past there, everything is completely covered in fine red soil due to the traffic jam.
There is exactly one sanitary building nearby for more... than 150 pitches. For men, for example, there are 3 urinals, 4 toilet bowls, 4 showers, 3 washbasins and a separate wash cubicle. The situation is similar for women. The cleanliness of the sanitary building leaves a lot to be desired. If 2 showers are occupied, the water runs through the bottom of the toilets.
To empty the chemical toilet, you have to walk further (approx. 5 minutes) to the next sanitary building.
When you arrive at the chemical toilet, the gag reflex starts about 3m before the entrance.
There are various restaurants, a supermarket and a small camping store on the site.
No matter where you go, everything is completely overpriced. It's worth organizing everything outside the campsite.
We have been to many campsites in Croatia. Mostly with a 4-star rating.
Based on this experience, I would give this campsite a maximum of 2 stars. But the 2nd star only because the pitches are very large.
We were at the campsite at the end of the season or in the off-season. I don't want to know what the site looks like when it's completely full.
Please note that this site had a nudist area until about 5 years ago.
We are not nudists and therefore did not book anything with nudism. However, as some long-standing vacationers still pursue their freedom of movement, we asked carefully at reception. Apart from the fact that a security guard was there twice in 2 weeks for about 30 minutes each time, nothing happened.
This area is therefore not suitable for families without a nudist inclination.
Overall summary of the campsite, we have seen Camping Kažela once and will never go there again.

Price / performance is no longer right
Rather simply landscaped site with large pitches and a "small" pool. Now dominated by mobile homes. It is usually very quiet in the evening from 10 pm. The sea water is crystal clear. Due to the rocky beach, access to the sea is only possible in a few places. There are no built-up access points, with... the exception of the boat mooring.

Children's entertainment always follows the same pattern. Crafts and simple games for the younger ones, Playstation for the older ones. Evening entertainment by the entertainment team in the "Arena". Unfortunately, the program rarely changes. Anyone who has been there longer or more often (like us) knows the program by heart after a while. Apart from that, the evening program is good and the work of the entertainers is great.

Entry to the pool is included. The only slide is now also included. Pool is manageable and populated by seagulls in the evening. Water quality is adequate.

Several restaurants are open on site depending on the season. Quality and price at the pool restaurant are fine. Others were not tested.

Staff on site always friendly.

Sanitary facilities are, except for one building, very old, moldy and improvised. The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired due to the new personnel strategy (subcontractors). But this is also due to some campers who cause the dirt.

On the site itself there are sports facilities (trampoline, tennis, table tennis, kayaking, water park,...) for a fee. A beach bar, well run and appealing. Quality and pricing is good.

Shopping facilities available on site, but very expensive. Pool bar extremely expensive. Price increases several times a year and now very high "outrageous" price level. Were also on site for Easter & Whitsun 2023 and the prices have risen on every vacation.

Restaurants in the resort have also risen accordingly. The price for the pitch category is now generally completely exaggerated.

there are better campsites for the money
we spent 3 weeks on the campsite with the caravan the pitch itself was very large and beautifully situated.
the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities was also good there is still an older sanitary building and a relatively new one, the only drawback in the sanitary facilities too few washing machines... (only 1),
the cleanliness in the facility leaves a lot to be desired, (someone dropped 3 milk bottles and the staff ignored this for almost 1 week until it was cleared away. )
pool area itself is ok except for the rules which are posted at the entrance, which of course no one adheres to only to collect for the deck chairs is equal staff there.
animation program especially for our grandchildren (10 + 12) was great.
both restaurants on site offer good food and the staff in the restaurant were nice and polite.
the bakery on the square is also good, the soup market itself is only recommended for emergencies if you have forgotten something.

The site relies more on mobile homes. The pitches are way overpriced and mostly consist of red earth. When it rains you stand in the dirt like in a field. The sanitary facilities are very outdated, which is not okay for these prices.

I guess that's why you can't see pictures from the sanitary facilities online.
The urgently need to get renovated.

Also youth camp next to the camp. They use the sanitary facilities also and where very rude and disrespectful.

The pitch floor is desert-like and rock-hard. No doubt due to the heat. The right tools must be packed.
We thought it was great
The check-in went smoothly. We had chosen a pitch category and selected the pitch on site. This meant the walk to the pool/sea was short. The children were able to move around freely and we felt safe. The stone beach was never crowded and accessible. The pool was always full but still bearable :). There... is a train that goes to Medulin several times a day. Also very doable by bike, especially for the large square. Anything with wheels is great for the kids. Dogs on site were all well behaved and hardly heard. We looked at 2 wash houses. We used the older house because of its proximity. There was a really hard-working and friendly member of staff there who kept after the cleanliness. It would be great if every visitor took their leftovers with them ;). The other wash house was new and very smart. In the end, cleanliness stands and falls with the users!

Toilet blocks massively dirty, paper missing in many toilets towards the evening, campers are being pushed out by bungalows (up to 900 euros/day), pitches very uneven, prices have risen massively in the last six years. No recommendation possible any more, dogs allowed but not tolerated by the sea, staff caused trouble several times. They were on a lead.

See above. Have known the site for over 40 years, the last..., especially after 2018, were not good for campers. No more recommendations possible, probably use another place next year..., too bad.

The best spots are taken up by the expensive containers. The real campers have to make do with the back rows. Unfortunately, there is no more naturism. Many of our friends have therefore turned their backs on Kazela.
Container village Kazela
We have been camping in Kazela in the former naturist area for 40 years. What was nudism for 50 years was radically abolished. Many of our camper friends have therefore turned their backs on Kazela and visit other naturist places in Istria. For us, Kazela is still our 2nd home, even though the new operator... of the resort has no interest in campers and uses the most beautiful pitches for containers and offers them at sinfully expensive prices - €2500 - 5000 and more per WEEK.

Only 2 of 5 toilet houses open and one of them is full of black mold. This is the winter WC house. :( So our plan to be here this winter has come to an end... it has now been repainted but it smells the same as before.... 🤢 I'm not going to endanger my health any more...
Since the toilet house was not... opened in our house, we now had to drive the car for 7 weeks to wash up.

Dogs cost up to €6.50 a day. There is a training area that is fenced in. However, there is hardly any shade, no water and no bags... there are no dog bags on the entire campsite and hardly any garbage cans... you wonder what you are paying so much money for... :/

Restaurants either not open or very expensive...

There is nothing cozy anymore.... No wooden benches... only plastic and uncomfortable seats...
You can no longer go to the great restaurant at the end of the square because it has been rotting for 2 years and is no longer served.
That was the best thing about the square... :/

The whole site is full of mobile homes... Hardly any nice places left for campers... Nudism is strictly forbidden... and you get the feeling that campers are no longer welcome... :/

The jetties into the sea are completely slippery and dangerous because iron parts stick out... otherwise there is no good way to get into the sea.

You can't use the fitness equipment because it doesn't work well... the playground here, where the fitness equipment is located, has no shade, nothing to sit on and is more than dangerous because there are big holes in the ground...

The sports pool is overcrowded with children as the children's pool with the slide is not open...

We will now look at other places...

There is a lot to say about the campsite. On arrival, the campsite makes a very neat and freshly renovated impression. The reception, the café, the restaurants, the pool area and the entertainment area are very nicely laid out. However, the older wash houses are clean and tidy, but do not meet the standard... of a 5-star facility. Also, between the pitches, it can be seen again and again that the outside wash houses have not been renovated and the fittings have been dismantled, making them unusable. As for the many hidden additional costs, the soccer pitches can only be used for a fee and the infinity pool can only be used by mobile home users. It almost gives the impression that no value is placed on the normal camper.

very unprofessional and at these high prices.... is not possible.... -long queues when checking in and out (poorly organized... e.g. the documents for reservations could already be prepared and thus reduce waiting times for other camping guests). -the slipway urgently needs to be renewed or at least repaired, as there is major damage and unevenness in the concrete -an access area to the sea must be created for swimmers, as there is a permanent acute danger of collision with boats entering and leaving. Conflicts often arise here..... -Reservation fees for booked pitches would have to be INCLUDED and not INCURRED (this does not exist on any other campsite),,,, -the sanitary facilities do not correspond to the price level (there is now a very high price level!) and need to be modernized to the standard of comparable campsites - there is an urgent need for action here!!!!

Unfortunately, a large part of the area is covered with mobile homes. There are fewer and fewer campers, nudism is now prohibited. You are even asked to dress, there are controls. The prices are very high. Additional services have to be paid extra. Too bad, we looked for another place.

Otherwise the place is chic. But they now want a lot of euros for it. The two of us had to pay 37 euros for camping with a caravan. I think that's a bit steep. We're going a bit further to Montenegro soon. It's a bit cheaper there.

Campers on Kazela
We have been coming to the site for 20 years, nothing has changed for campers in that time except the price! This year, many new mobile homes/bungalows have been installed and investments have been made! It looks like the camper is now bearing the costs, which can be seen from the high prices. ACSI Campingcheques will no longer be accepted this year. The alleged 5 star campsite is only reflected in the price!

So, were the first time on the CP, this was winter 18/19 partially renovated, pool inn etc.. Erc. Everything very well done and top, for slide and sunbeds you have to pay attention!!! Sanitary is always cleaned the whole day the woman stands there !!! Super sea, big places really great!!! Were in the vestar 4 star camping and it can't keep up with the 2 star cp!!!
