It was easy to get there as it was right on the coast road. We had a pitch right next to a wash house, which was no problem as a large hedge provided privacy and noise protection. The pitch itself was nicely gravelled with decorative gravel and surrounded... by grass. The size was also suitable. The site is generally beautifully overgrown with flowers, palm trees and trees. We really enjoyed the morning bird concert. Unfortunately, we didn't know that the power supply runs via Schuko plugs (no CEE). We had to borrow a free adapter from reception. So no problem, but you should be aware of this. The staff were friendly and helpful. The campsite was constantly maintained and kept clean. Unfortunately, the 3 sanitary blocks are quite outdated. However, as they were generally clean, this was not a problem for us. However, it could be a bit draughty in bad weather as the blocks are very open. There is a small supermarket with fresh bread rolls at the campsite. But the Konzum is also very easy to reach on foot. The beach and the really great promenade with its wonderful cafes, bars and restaurants are a 5-minute walk away. Unfortunately, the disadvantage of the campsite for us was that there was no children's playground. This and the sanitary facilities led us to award only 4 instead of 5 stars (there must be room for improvement;). The closing times of the barrier should also be reconsidered. The quiet time is from 11-6 pm, which is perfectly ok. But we found it strange to close the barrier at 9pm, as we often went on longer trips and then had to park outside. As the campsite is on a loop of the coastal road, you can of course hear the cars and especially motorcycles. But this only bothered us to a limited extent. We still felt very comfortable and had a wonderful vacation. Unfortunately this was not possible. The operator not only speaks German, he also immediately helped us to find another campsite. We were allowed to use the toilets and found them to be in good condition. The campsite made a very clean and well-kept impression on us. Unfortunately, the campsite is on a busy road and the motorcycles in particular are quite noisy. But the coastline in eastern Istria is quite narrow, so there's always a road somewhere. Otherwise clean sanitary facilities, no catering... on site, but everything is within walking distance. The beach is also easy to walk to. You can get to Opatija quickly by bus. The promenade is romantic in the evening, the beach is rather crowded during the day. The site was quiet; lots of weekend campers from Slovenia. The staff were friendly. I wouldn't go here with a dog in the high season. The dog beach is tiny. There is only one in the region. Also about a kilometer away. What a pity!
