- Vinzenz T.July 2014PositiivsedBeautifully situated site by the lake directly on the slope of the mountain range with hiking opportunities.NegatiivsedApproach through the Sagittario Gorge is somewhat difficult for caravans.Mountain campsite with lake on the edge of the Abruzzo National ParkCamping I LUPI - Villalago (AQ) - Abruzzo/Italy - Tel. 0864.740625 - email: campingilupi@libero.it http://www.campingilupi.it/ A wonderfully situated campsite in the mountains of Abruzzo in central Italy. However, the location of the campsite is incorrectly indicated on the map. In fact, the site is... not on Lago dei Barrea but on Lago dei Scanno. Addendum in 2014: The location has since been corrected. To reach from the Pescara - Roma highway, take the Cocullo exit; then head towards Anversa dei Abruzzi and through the Sagittario Gorge towards Lago di Scanno - the route is not easy, narrow and with several detours - approx. 12 km to Lake Scanno. But the journey is worth it. Camping i Lupi is a campsite open all year round with a medium number of Italian permanent campers. The site is beautifully situated between the mountain ranges of Monte Genzana and the Martian mountain range about 20m above Lago di Scanno at about 1000 meters above sea level, about 3 km to the small town of Scanno and just as far to the small town of Villalago. Both villages and the lake are within walking distance. There is now a completely renovated sanitary building that is state of the art and spotlessly clean. The campsite itself has also been constantly improved in recent years. There is also a beautiful stone bungalow and various cabins for rent. The pitches are partly parceled out and are large enough for caravans, cars and awnings, as well as two unparceled meadows, one of which is slightly terraced on a slope. The surroundings are fantastic. 1. the small towns of Sanno, Frattura, Villalago, Castrovalva, Anversa, etc., 2. the lake where you can also take a wonderful swim. 3. the surrounding mountain ranges, ideal for hiking up to an altitude of approx. 2200m. 4. excursions over the Paso di Godi to Barrea - Lago and town - to Pescasseroli and Opi, as well as to the Abruzzo National Park with its free-roaming bears and wolves. Marked hiking routes and more. There are plenty of restaurants and trattorias, so there is plenty to eat and drink. The price-performance ratio in the Abruzzo mountains is still good in contrast to the prices on the coasts of the Adriatic and the Riviera.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
