Camping Fördeblick Ülevaated

The location on the Kiel Fjord, directly on a steep coast, is magical. Laboe is within easy reach and Schönberg beach and the numerous lakes in the hinterland are also perfect for a day trip.

The relatively unfriendly reception was the least of our worries. The paths are littered with potholes and you have to be careful not to break your legs in the dark. The whole place looks unkempt and is only necessarily kept in order. Older or disabled people will find a single barrier-free washroom combined with a toilet. The sanitary facilities were probably renovated a few years ago, but are now simply unclean and unkempt in many areas due to a lack of care and disinterest on the part of the operator. There is urine stone in the toilet bowls, the shower heads are calcified, the water flows into the neighbor's shower cubicle when you take a shower and cleaning is done once a day in the early morning between 6-7 am. There are plenty of washing machines and dryers in the laundry room, but only 2 washing machines and one dryer work. During our stay, however, we were unable to use the washing machines as they were in constant use by a large group of English-speaking non-sedentary people who had set up their summer camp with several caravans and people. The fact that their piles of laundry were piling up in the laundry room was of no interest to the operator or any of the staff. Nor did the operator care that the garbage, which the caravan residents liked to leave outside the door overnight, was scattered several meters across the site the next day. The shopping facilities on the site are a joke. Apart from bread rolls in the morning, for which you have to queue for quite a long time, you can't buy anything there apart from drinks and newspapers. Neither fresh fruit or vegetables, nor any other fresh things. Even if they were in stock, the dark, musty-smelling salesroom is not inviting. This doesn't seem to bother the group of regulars who make themselves comfortable on the rude benches in front of the store in the afternoon with their bottles of beer. The owner of the "Restaurant Seestern", which is right next to the store, must also be suffering from an odor disorder. The grease in which the fries, nuggets and other fast food dishes are sunk stinks to high heaven and makes you lose your appetite. The playground, which is in the immediate vicinity, is popular with the kids, but it too is poorly equipped and not really up to modern standards. Only the two employees who were responsible for mowing the lawns and trimming the hedges gave us the feeling that we were welcome as campers and paying customers. They were very friendly and tried to keep things tidy as much as possible. Conclusion: The site attracts with **** stars! Wherever they come from, we can only award a single star for the location and the surroundings.
