You can't make a reservation, so it makes sense to call in advance. As there are no pitches, everyone stands where they want and can. This results in a slightly chaotic occupancy of the pitches. It's also a pity that the pitches directly on the... lake are blocked by permanent campers, most of whom are only there from time to time, spoiling the beautiful view. The site is located on a peninsula and there are bathing opportunities everywhere. We had a kayak with us, easy to handle. The sanitary facilities are ok. Friendly instructions on the use of sanitary towels are displayed everywhere. Disinfectant is available everywhere. The prices are good, showers are free 👍. Registration is uncomplicated and friendly; you can pay in cash or by card. It's about 1.5 km uphill to Murnau train station. No problem with an e-bike. From there a good starting point for a visit to Munich.
On site a good restaurant, food very tasty and inexpensive, the beer runs 🤪.

The restaurant can also be used for wedding celebrations - it's that good, but still not expensive. There is a shallow pebble beach for swimming at the lake. The sanitary facilities are good and well maintained. There is a restaurant on site where you can eat well and at reasonable prices. Joachim G.July 2016Quiet placeThe access road can be quite narrow in places, especially for large caravans, and is a residential road that is sometimes decorated with vehicles on the right and left. The site itself slopes down to the lake on all sides.we chose our pitch at the top of the sanitary building.when we registered we were... told: "Have a look at the site and choose something.then you register".then had a nice, large and level pitch.but it got smaller and smaller as the week went on.as it was unparceled and increasingly full.tents were placed everywhere in between. The sanitary facilities were not always clean and were rarely checked and it could happen that toilet paper was missing for hours. The site manager was always available and friendly and always had a solution for everyone involved. Unfortunately, the places in the first row (on the lake) were alla occupied with permanent campers.Nevertheless, you came between the campers to the lake.Equipment for SUP could be rented at the place, boats in about 10 minutes walking distance.Murnau was also reached in a few minutes. The approach is a challenge for people without hanging experience. The pitches all slope down to the lake. The 5 cm wooden wedge was very useful to put the WW into the water to some extent. The sanitary facilities are simple and clean, but the showers with the water-saving... push button are very annoying! Almost one hand on the button and one hand on the head! The team is friendly and helpful, the sanitary facilities mostly clean, the small exceptions are mainly due to a few unclean guests. There is a good selection of baked goods and food, and the kiosk is also well stocked. The restaurant... is also highly recommended. There are plenty of leisure activities, from boating and cycling to sailing and diving, there should be something for everyone. I was particularly impressed by the location, the sunsets on the lake are spectacular! Unfortunately, the pitches are not parceled out, so it can get a bit crowded in the main season, and the electricity and water supply is a bit poor, 20 meters of cable can be too short. The access road is currently being renovated, so the approach is very bumpy and dusty. However, this should not last too much longer. The site is well maintained with a wonderful location on the lake. The team is friendly and helpful and the sanitary facilities are clean. A really lovely natural site. In HS it can... be cramped due to the lack of parcelling. Nevertheless very quiet. We were particularly impressed by the location and the great sunsets on the lake. We were there again at the end of August. Surrounded on three sides by clear water, it offers plenty of access to the Staffelsee despite the permanent campers on the shore. The bathing temperatures are still inviting even at the end of September. The restaurant with its changing, inexpensive daily specials is not to be outdone. The owner is very unfriendly. We were already standing in the smoky office at reception. An absolute imposition. Our pitch was right on the lake and it was really great. The sanitary facilities are below par. It smelled of urine and paper towels... were rare. There is also mold everywhere in the showers. When I approached the site manager, he offered me the chance to go somewhere else. Since the pitches are not parceled out and we came back to our bus after a trip to Murnau, a tent was set up to the left and right of it at a distance of 1 meter. When we asked whether this was not very close, the residents said that the site operator had allocated these pitches to them, although there was still a lot of free space on the whole site. The campsite itself was clean and well maintained, as were the sanitary facilities. What was particularly positive was the peace and quiet during the day and at night, there was no traffic noise at all. The staff at reception, in the small store and... in the lovely restaurant with beer garden were friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was reasonably priced, varied and very well and tastily prepared. We also had rainy days during our vacation, but there were no soggy patches or large puddles anywhere on the site, the water always drained away very quickly. Due to the location on a peninsula, beautiful views of the Staffelsee were possible everywhere, even from most of the pitches. The disadvantage, however, was that almost all of the beautiful pitches right on the water were occupied by duercampers, who were hardly ever present. It should be possible for at least 70% of the pitches to be used by tourists. In many places there was direct access to the lake from where you could swim or launch your boat. The lake was very clean and warm and the water on the shore was very shallow, so that even small children could swim safely. The nearby town of Murnau is a nice place to stroll and shop.Automaatselt tõlgitud.

Great panorama, good Bavarian restaurant with plenty of tasty, not overpriced food. Friendly operators,... electricity flat rate. When the campsite is full, the sanitary building is almost too small. Unfortunately then a bit unclean and unfilled. (Toilet paper). Free choice of pitch, clear and clean lake, it goes in very shallow before it gets deeper. Ideal for children and non-swimmers to go into the water safely. Ideal for hiking, cycling and car trips. Sights such as Neuschwanstein Castle nearby... Beautiful landscape.
