Although we had booked for 3 weeks, we were not charged for the kilowatt hours actually used (in our more than 30 years of experience, this is usual from more than 2-3 nights), but - without being asked - a flat rate/night. This more than doubled the expenditure for electrical energy! In the morning you can order bread rolls from the owners the day before. There is Lake Ida next to the site where you can go waterskiing and swimming in good weather. We know one or two other places for short breaks of 3-4 days between the Moselle and the North Sea coast. This place is a little gem and we will definitely be back.

It was our first visit, but we certainly didn't plan it to be our last. We were struck by the genuine friendliness of the owner couple, which was obviously passed on to the campers. Everyone says hello to everyone, and there... are only friendly people everywhere on the site. At the registration desk, there was always an open ear for every question and always a nice answer, which we know differently (there are also grumpy bears in this position). The site was super clean overall, the sanitary facilities were great, no weeds or unkempt paths anywhere, the sanitary facilities were commendable. It is one of the few campsites where you are greeted all day long. Probably has something to do with the owner couple. The only thing that bothered us is that toilet paper is handed out when you register and you have to take it with you every time... you visit the sanitary facilities. This is no longer in keeping with the times. There are other ways to avoid mischief with the toilet rolls (rest). Now we are permanent campers here and feel very comfortable.
