A place where you have to pay for wifi, and it's pretty expensive!
I stayed for 3 weeks in September at this campsite in Savoie. When I booked, I noted that wifi was not free. Although very surprised, given that this service is now offered almost everywhere: restaurants, bars, airports, train stations...I got used to the idea of paying €38 for the 21 days on site so... that I could continue to communicate. When I arrived on Sunday evening, I turned on my computer and a window opened inviting me to join the Passman network to benefit from wifi. The price had gone up: €39.90 for the same duration. I pay and try to connect. The signal is weak and the speed very slow. I complain. The next day, I speak to the campsite manager who tells me that I shouldn't subscribe to Passman but to Osmozis, a service provider who guarantees impeccable service. In fact, the night before, the Osmozis window hadn't opened. I'll understand why later. I therefore paid Osmozis a second time €38 in order to benefit from the aforementioned service. At the same time, I contacted Passman to ask them to refund what I'd paid. It was in fact a wifi signal from a nearby hotel. I quickly realized that the Osmozis service was of very poor quality. There was little or no signal, and the speed was close to zero in the evening when several people were connected. (It took over 10 minutes to open a page!) I was invited to contact Osmozis. A company manager tries to make me believe that the problem is with my computer. I connect everywhere without any problem and explain to them that they are mistaken. The end. Three weeks of misery. Passman reimbursed me, but I had to go to the local supermarket to connect (for free) to the Internet when I needed to. Osmozis initially offered to refund my money, but now they've written to say that "I'm not eligible for a refund" (I like the phrase), but that they're giving me a "credit to connect for a week at the next campsite I go to". I'm obviously very touched by such a gift, especially if the service is just as good at the other campsites!
