- Brey L.October 2017PositiivsedContemplative calmNegatiivsedSupply optionsAn idyll in the Spanish ExtremaduraLas Grullas is a secluded idyll in the Spanish Extremadura (extremos del Duero = beyond the river Duero). It's hard to get lost here by chance, so you should know the following beforehand: 1. the site is very remote and 2. has no facilities (i.e. food, bread, etc.). 3. the pitches are only very sparsely... shaded or not shaded at all (problematic in midsummer) and 4. the electricity is only secured with 4 amps (no kettle, ....). Finally, 5. children are denied access to this site. Many arguments that actually speak against this site ........ NO! Because no "inconsiderate luxury campers" stay here. Naturists who love exactly that come here to relax: Contemplative peace and quiet in the seclusion of (relatively) unspoiled nature. And the always friendly operators, Lisette and Johan, who draw water from their own deep well and obtain electricity from a photovoltaic system belonging to the site, also rely on this kind of closeness to nature. Away from any civilizing influences, you can admire the "breathtaking starry sky" at night and occasionally see a vixen sneaking through the campsite. When Lisette and Johan state on their homepage that "naturism is a way of life in harmony with nature", there is hardly any other campsite where this is more convincingly realized than here. - - Another tip for getting here: Don't let your navigation system send you via Benquerencia, you won't get through there with a larger vehicle. Travel via Valdefuentes!Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Johan T.September 2014PositiivsedTranquility, small scale, an un-Spanish campground. We enjoyed! What peace and what space. Seen a lot of birds,We planned to stay 2 days; it turned out to be 8. We saw beautiful cities, ate delicious food and took a refreshing dip in the beautiful pool after all the wandering. Next year again!Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Jonatan G.July 2014PositiivsedThere is no one there, and normal seeing the facilities before.NegatiivsedCampsite with all the land dry (straw instead of grass), the two owners do not speak Spanish well, no store or bar, vacations in caceres camping castle to the eman, we found scorpion in the bedWell the first day we arrived in Cáceres we had planned to sleep in the bungalow of the camping castle to eman, after searching its location on the website of the campsite and google maps, we put the Gps and takes us to a village that is called the same (Benquerencia) but this is Benquerencia de la serena,... nothing more and nothing less than an hour and a half from the campsite, well after this incident, we arrived at the campsite at 19:15 after looking for it because it is between two villages on a bad road that I doubt that enter two cars in parallel, well after arriving at the campsite awaits the owner, we barely understand her, we paid for the 8 nights we were going to be at first, and then showed us the facilities, well here begins the odyssey, all dry camping, not dry boil, that was already straw, obviously tells us not to make fires or barbecues, who dares to do that there inside that you burn the whole area, in short very but very bad care, then he shows us the pool, that ah a knowing that afternoon we arrived was not yet ready for use, and by the look the next day was not going to be and who knows if any day of our planned stay, to reach the bungalow in which we were going to install we see more of the same, all dry and neglected, ants everywhere around the bungalow and several inside the bungalow, not but more importance since the tent happens often. We entered the bungalow and left the bags and luggage, and contrary to what was offered by phone had no television, only a mini-system, well that pissed us off a little, in a campsite without campers, no store, no bar and no television that obviously you only see it for a while at night but well, we let it pass. In the evening we set out to make dinner and we ran to the nearest town to buy that is a few kilometers away and well it costs a little to find the unici ultramarinos (supermarket) that is in the village, and we bought the basics to go to Merida the next day and buy the rest. We had to cook dinner in the oven and it was not easy to light it since it was butane gas and you had to keep putting matches in it until it was lit, once it was lit we put the dinner (which we would not get to eat). With dinner in the oven my wife goes to the bedroom to take something out of the suitcase, where to her surprise she finds a yellow scorpion (scorpion) the most poisonous in Europe, on the bed, being allergic to insects she got very nervous and called me, when I saw the scorpion I put it in a pot to show it to the owner of the campsite, who said it was normal, pay 55€ for a bungalow that is supposed to be like a house fully equipped and disinfected of this type of animals, well nothing we told them that in these conditions we did not stay in that bungalow, so we packed our bags and went to reception to get our money, and what is our surprise that on top of finding a scorpion in the bed and we had to go to 23:30 to another accommodation, they give us 110€ penalty for leaving earlier than planned. Well, not to make the story longer and since we were expected in another accommodation that we did not know exactly where it was, we asked for the bill (which granddaughter or invoice or anything, just a simple delivery note) and we left. Well the next day we went to the consumer office and left it in their hands, in which they were amazed with what had happened to us. Add that in the cottage where we stayed that same day everything was great, facilities, staff, cleanliness, ... and for only 50 € per night, the village is Montanchez and the cottage the castle 100% recommended. I hope you find it helpful and avoid discovering it by yourselves. Greetings and if you finally go to Cáceres and Mérida enjoy that they are two impressive cities.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Carolina P.April 2013Simply a great campsite with huge, separate pitches and unique sanitary facilities (on the first floor). German owner very friendly and helpful, absolute peace and quiet, very idyllic location, at night you only hear the sheep and have a fantastic starry sky, always subtle background music in the bathrooms,... huge shower cubicles, chapel with spas and Gregorian music (just relax!), lots of culture and nature - ideal for a few days of RELAX! The restaurant is still missing (but should be finished soon...). Top place - absolutely recommendable!Automaatselt tõlgitud.
