Mosquitoes :)Well located, great restaurant, parking spaces a bit tightWe stayed as a couple at this campsite, which is right next to a great pond and only 15 minutes from Erlangen.
Arriving was easy, the welcome was friendly, the weather was good :), the sanitary facilities were large and clean, the food in the restaurant was excellent and the beer was delicious.
So... what more could you want?
Well, to be honest, the pitches were quite small and you stand quite close together. There was an enormous amount of "fly-tipping" and at breakfast in the restaurant you are charged extra for a cappuccino, which is no longer the norm these days.
We were on vacation, so we put up with it.

We were there with 2 motorhomes. The booking was uncomplicated without the whole procedure that you have to put up with at other campsites. Checking in was quick. We received a very warm welcome and were given two beautiful separate pitches. Even the email contact was very friendly.... The site is beautifully laid out, with new and very clean sanitary facilities. The restaurant is highly recommended. The food was a dream and plentiful. You could order bread rolls and get them from 7.00 am. There is a circular path around the lake at the campsite. The beach is only a 10-minute walk from the campsite. There is also a boat rental nearby. We had a great time because everything was so uncomplicated. Thank you, dear camping team! We will be back.Automaatselt tõlgitud.

Unfortunately, there were also negative aspects. We were promised 2 pitches next to each other, but unfortunately another... camper then stood between our two motorhomes. However, we were still lucky with our large pitches, every pitch was allocated in the evening, even if it was the access road to the rear pitches. These campers then had to enjoy their time on the campsite between the end of their vehicle and the front of the next one. And that on the dusty access road. The campsite can be used again without constant patronizing!NegatiivsedSee comment !FINALLY!!! The FELDWEBEL is no longer there! New groundsman ALI Friendly, TOPWe have visited the campsite 2 - 4 times a year over the last 10 years to spend the night before and after our vacation trip.
The penultimate groundsman with his Greek team was already good - the restaurant had very good and tasty food.
This changed rapidly with a groundskeeper who spoke to the guests... almost exclusively in a commanding tone and behaved like a "sergeant". Unfortunately his wife behaved very similarly. Constant "control trips" and checks - very excessive. Control must be -
but not constant surveillance.
The restaurant was no longer good - sometimes unfriendly, the food often oversalted, salads without dressing etc. .
Since this year a new groundskeeper - " ALI " - the total opposite! Friendly and helpful, the restaurant has a new team and the food is enjoyable again.
We stayed there again -2- times for the night.
Now the camper is a "guest" again - and not a recruit. The campsite can be recommended again, as can the restaurant.
CONCLUSION : TILL NEXT TIME and many thanks to the new groundsman and the restaurant staff.

I'd day, typical "German style" driven, with everything organized and strict obeydance of rules. A 30 minutes bike ride to downtown Erlangen, and really close to A3 motorway, but tranquille all in all. Showers sometimes seem to close a bit ahead of scheduled times, so be there a bit earlier if you like to have one before rest. No car allowed to leave or enter between 1 and 3 pm, restaurant variable waiting times, The circuit breaker at the electric outlet has a relative low trigger point (not really an issue, but if you tend to use addtl. consumer, don't get surprised...). And: Never park even less than a minute on the "wrong side" at the gate, if you want to drop just a bag of garbage into the well organized sorting bins. You run the risk to receive a harsh comment from the facility manager;)

The friendly staff briefly explained the details. The pitches are very (!) small. SUV and caravan just fits, but then without the possibility to sit in front of the caravan. No kiosk, no water at the pitches, really only suitable for one... night, the sanitary facilities are outdated and not designed for families with children. In the high season, a good 50 vehicles are likely to arrive in the evening and leave again at 7am. The adjoining restaurant is good.Automaatselt tõlgitud.

The restaurant was full - staff friendly but it takes too long for small dishes / there was a list of few dishes for dinner. A playground/ table tennis table! Run out enough.... BUT... the shower was totally filthy, it could be cleaner! I think that the operators are... not to blame. What bothered us is that we were "chased out" because they thought we were off the pitch, but we still had more than 2 hours left and others wanted to use our pitch. The action didn't work at all!!!
