"Unique top! - We stayed there for eight nights. It was EM and we watched it together with many people on the terrace of the Reze. Very family-friendly! The staff are very nice and you can pay cashless in the minimarket. It is credited to your bill. You can buy the essentials. Shopping possibilities only in Walchensee at the organic/fish vending machine or approx. 11 km in the supermarket in the next village. The pitches are well paved and very large. We were on pitch 58 directly on the lake. A very nice site. The sanitary building is central and clean. Showers cost 1 euro! But the background is that the waste water has to be disposed of. From our point of view this is no longer up to date but ok here. You can SUP on the lake and also hire one. Bicycle paths available. Partly on the road. Plenty of hiking trails! The campsite is one of the best we've been to due to its size and facilities! Would come back in a heartbeat!!!

"We will be back!!! - We were totally satisfied with the campsite. It's right on the lake and also has its own swimming area. The sanitary facilities were always clean. The reception was always friendly and helpful. The mini-market is well stocked for the standard so you don't have to starve and die of thirst. But it has to be, as the nearest shopping facilities are around 15 km away. We really enjoyed the place. You can go on countless hikes there or just chill out by the lake.

"Vacation September 2021 - After a long wait, we were finally able to start our vacation in the region at the beginning of September. We had booked 5 days and got a wonderful pitch right on the lake. Great joy!!! On the second day of our stay we got the call that everything at home was under water. Water pipe burst in the kitchen, bathroom, hallway and cellar were badly affected. We had to break off. We had to pay "30.00 €" as a kind of penalty for breaking off prematurely. Let's be honest: who drives about 800 km from northern Germany to Bavaria to cancel their long-awaited vacation on the second day? Apart from that, the place is really great. Will we come back??? Let's see...

"To feel good - New campsite operators, very friendly. Good bread roll service, new showers for ladies, small playground, beautiful pitch right on the lake. Lots of excursion possibilities, such as hiking, cycling, Zugspitze, Innsbruck and much more. We have nothing to complain about, we were completely satisfied. Everything was clean and despite Corona, a negative rapid test every 48 hours, we spent a relaxing vacation at Walchensee.

"Super vacation! - Despite two extensions due to a move, the boss was never annoyed, always smiling and ready for a chat. Although there was always a lot for her to do. The phone never stopped ringing and there was always a queue at the registration desk. A big compliment to the entire site team. There was always a hustle and bustle. 👍😊

Profiil

The fantastic location of our campsite in a landscape conservation area offers a wonderful view of the Walchensee with the Herzogstand massif and the mountains in the background. Our 34,000 m² campsite is located at 802 metres above sea level …and stretches along the shore opposite the village of Walchensee with 76 pitches and 35 tent pitches. More than half of our pitches and tents are directly on the lake (1st row). All pitches are gravelled, parcelled out and have electricity. We have two parcelled tent meadows for our campers. The Walchensee - also known as the Bavarian Caribbean - is mostly freely accessible and offers countless leisure activities. Once you've been here, you'll keep coming back. All our pitches have a power connection (CEE). Electricity is charged according to consumption: € 0.80 kWh. Water and waste water are not available at the pitch as we are not connected to the sewage system. We operate our own organic sewage treatment plant. You can fill up your fresh water tanks at the supply and disposal station in the sanitary area. The campsite has a mini market, a café with a lovely terrace and a bread roll service. There is a playground for the little ones. Whether swimming, biking, SUPing, hiking, mountaineering, cycling, diving, surfing, kiting, fishing (only with fishing licence) or culture, there is something for everyone. Please note our minimum stay of 5 days for bookings. Reservation enquiries ONLY via our form on the website www.camping-walchensee.de . We look forward to welcoming you as our guests!

The easiest way to reach Walchensee by car is via the motorway (Autobahn) A95 Munich - Garmisch-Partenkirchen, exit Nr. 10 Murnau/Kochel; then via Kochel am See carry on to Walchensee (23 km from the Autobahn exit). Please note that there …is no petrol station in Walchensee. The closest petrol stations to Walchensee are in Kochel am See (14 km north of Walchensee) and Krün (12 km south of Walchensee)
