Camping is very clean maintained and always friendly welcome!
We have been coming here for 19j and for us it is a piece of paradise.
You do not really need to take your car for anything...is very close to shops/restaurants and beach

Well located, close to the sea
We received a friendly welcome from the operators. The site is mainly used by permanent campers and mobile homes. Our pitch was big enough. The sanitary facilities are rather old, but clean. Without toilet paper. WLAN for a fee. Price rather reasonable. Electricity billed according to consumption. Showers... cost 50 cents for 5 minutes (although 6 minutes are indicated in the shower). Hot water for washing up also 50 cents for 2 minutes. A nice place for a few days in Belgium.

Good location, but dominated by mobile homes
First of all: I have no real comparison with other campsites in Belgium. The welcome and briefing were very friendly (German-speaking), but we were given a pitch for our motorhome on a concrete base in the middle of a narrow grid of mobile homes - not a very nice location, but we were absolutely level... ... In the front part a mix of permanent and vacation campers. Mix of older and modern sanitary blocks; showers for a coin are ok, but even for the sink you need 50 cents. No washbasins with soap dispensers in the toilets. At the weekend the permanent campers get out the lawnmower or clean their hut. However, the 10-minute walk to the beach (15 minutes to the nudist beach) is great, and there are plenty of stores, pubs and restaurants within walking distance. The site and the beach are dog-friendly.

Period of stay at the end of September. The campground is operated by a couple who give themselves completely to the campground. Very friendly and helpful people. The grounds are very clean and very well maintained, as are the sanitary facilities. At 5 minutes walking distance is the streetcar stop,... ideal for a trip to Blankenberge or Ostend. Shopping is possible in the 3 supermarkets Albert Heyn, Aldi or Lidl at about 15 minutes walking distance. There is no cafeteria on the site itself, but just outside the campsite there are plenty of (good) places to eat and drink. A visit to the beach is also perfectly possible on foot since this is also about 5 minutes walk. In short, De Warande is definitely worth a visit, and we are already convinced that we will return next year.
