The site is not far from Edam, surrounded by meadows directly on the Markermeer. A farm with around 45 cows belongs to the campsite. Children can go into the cowshed by prior arrangement and accompanied by an adult. There... are also rabbits, a pig, chickens and alpacas on the farm. There is also a playground with a trampoline, swing and slide. Various go-karts and pedal tractors can be used free of charge. You can swim and bathe in the Markermeer, you just have to cross a small and little-used path and the dike.
The sanitary facilities are new and were always clean. There are a total of 5 showers, 6 toilets and a family bathroom. At peak times there were short waiting times for the showers, but this didn't bother us personally. There is free Wi-Fi, but you shouldn't expect too much here.
You can buy meat from the farm's own cattle farm as well as other farm produce such as eggs and cheese. Fresh pizzas from the wood-fired oven are available on Tuesdays and Fridays. Shopping facilities are available in Edam and Volendam.

The rabbit enclosure with petting opportunities was particularly well received, but the goats and alpacas... were also very popular. A visit to the cowshed was also always well received.
Great cycling opportunities around Edam. Good connections to Amsterdam by bike and bus.

We were also offered help if the access road was too narrow, but everything worked out fine. The campsite is located on an active farm with dairy cattle farming. There is therefore plenty to see,... especially for small children. In addition to cows, goats and pot-bellied pigs can be visited. There are only 25 pitches, which we think is good. The pitches are large enough and have electricity. There is no water at the pitch. As it's not far to the tap, it didn't bother us. The pitches have solid ground in the area of the awning. You won't find a kiosk or a market, but the town of Edam is only about 2 km away. You can find everything there. Bread rolls are not available on the campsite. The sanitary area deserves special mention. Modern, bright and super clean. The manager still cleans here herself and you can see that. The campsite is only separated by a dyke on the Isjelmeer. Ideal view. There is a marina in Edam and lots of other things to see. As is usual in Holland, the surrounding area is particularly suitable for cycling. We also cycled around the nearby island of Marken. There are several restaurants in the immediate vicinity. A large stone pizza oven is often fired up on the site. Highly recommended. Campers are also welcome next to the pitches. There are no permanent campers here. Overall, we can recommend the site if you are looking for peace and quiet and want to go on excursions by bike. Fortunately for us, there is no entertainment here. All in all a top placeAutomaatselt tõlgitud.

The site was basic - but we knew that when we booked. We cycled quite a lot. The site is on a farm. Rural smells are therefore normal. The pitches were big enough for us. Due to the location (approx. 1 km outside the beautiful town of Edam), peace and relaxation are guaranteed here. You can reach Edam quickly by bike or on foot. The place is very manageable directly behind the dike (wind protection). The adjacent road can be noisy because of motorcyclists, otherwise there are almost only cyclists and the occasional car on the road. The sanitary facilities are very clean. The operators... are extremely friendly and our caravan was parked with a great old tractor. Apart from that, you can see cows, chickens, ducks, sheep, greylag geese and much more up close. But bakery can be reached by car or bike in 3km. So rather no disadvantageThe most amazing campsite on a farmWe were here for the first time to do a lot of sightseeing by bike and to visit Amsterdam, which is about 20km away. Super great sanitary facilities. Top clean. Super nice. From ducks to goats to cows and pigs on site. By bus in 20 minutes in Amsterdam. There are 3 lines. And every 5 minutes every day.... Campsite has a lounge area with TV and kitchen and dining table. Most pitches have a Betom plate for the awning area. Pure peace and quiet. Swimming in the Markermeer over the dyke. We visited Amsterdam, Volendam, Edam, Purmerend and Hoor by bike from here and even cycled 300 km. A rental bungalow is also available. We felt more than comfortable and will be back. We can really recommend it. A small bathing path leads directly into the water. The beach is public and consists of grass and shells. Unfortunately there is also a lot of dog waste. But the very nice and friendly owners are not responsible for this. The site is... well-kept and clean! The sanitary facilities are as good as new and well maintained. WI-FI for 2 devices, water, waste disposal, electricity are free or included in the pitch fees. The pitch costs 17.50 in the high season !!! For caravan including awning and 2 persons. We got 1 liter of freshly milked cow's milk for free on top. Camping on the farm. With ducks, cows, pot-bellied pigs, chickens etc. Drinks and ice cream are available at reception. Unfortunately, you have to go to Edam for everything else. There is also the traditional cheese market there every Wednesday from 10.30 to 12.30 from the beginning of July to the end of August. It is about 20 km to Amsterdam or Hoorn. A well-developed network of cycle paths makes it easy to do without a car. After all, we are in Holland 😁. There is also a small playground and a hut for bad weather. Dogs are also welcome, although some owners are advised to dispose of their pets' droppings on the beach (see above).
