The site is very beautiful, the sanitary facilities are second to none and are spotlessly clean. We have already booked again for next year. I was greeted in a very friendly manner when I checked in and was given great advice about the pitch. The sanitary facilities are just like the bathroom at home. The billing system for hot water works really well - I think it's a very sensible contribution against... wasting energy. The pitches are well laid out with a few useful extras - such as the benches and seating.
Overall, you can clearly see that a lot of thought has been put into the facility.
If I had anything to criticize or, let's say, improve, it would be the kiosk - which could expand its range to include a bread roll service. But our stay was also at the end of the season, maybe it's better during the season. The information that the colleagues for the green areas start their job behind the hedge at 7 o'clock in the morning would have made us sleep a little better in the morning :-)

There is even a local bus service to the site, which you can use to travel to Xanten, for example, at a reasonable price. Really highly recommended.
The reception is also very friendly and welcoming.

So you can't eat anything there before departure. What a shame!!! 😞

- Markus S.October 2024Most beautiful campsiteThe Kerstgenshof campsite is one of the most beautiful campsites we have ever been to. The location is very beautiful on the Lower Rhine and ideal for cycling tours.
The facilities on the site are outstanding. The sanitary buildings, especially the new building at Buchenplatz, are star-worthy.
The operators... and staff, from the cleaners to reception, are extremely friendly. Not forgetting the delicious schnitzel in the bistro.

- Martina K.October 2024We will be back !We booked a lodge for 3 days and everything went wonderfully from booking to check-out. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The accommodation itself was very clean and the green areas are very well maintained. You feel like you're in the Shire and can get away from it all in the green oasis.... The bathhouse was super clean and modern. The restaurant has a takeaway service which we used once and the food was very tasty and fresh. The prices were reasonable. The kiosk has a bread roll service which we also used, it worked perfectly and the rolls were fresh and crispy. The place is great and we have already recommended it to others.
