The Italian restaurant (Seehof) next door is good, the terrace fantastic. Walk 3 minutes further and you are at Lidl, Penny and REWE.NegatiivsedA few less trees and bushes would be nice. There is nothing going on in Philippsburg. Reception partly not manned, not always available by phone (during opening hours).Sensibly equipped campingWell-kept campsite with many permanent campers. Mostly quiet, only the road on the other side of the lake is audible. The lake and bathing area are beautiful. The area is ideal for cycling. Most of the pitches are for permanent campers, but there is a small meadow where vacationers can stay.
The managers and staff are super friendly and helpful and take great care of the site and the guests.
We camped there with our children and bathed a lot. The site is perfect for this.

They are flat and covered with grass. You can go into the lake directly from the pitch (own bathing island). There is also a playground for the children on the fine sandy beach. There are numerous electricity and water taps in... the immediate vicinity (max. 20m from the pitch). There is no store on the site, but there are 3 supermarkets with a bakery or bakery store in the immediate vicinity. There is also a restaurant right next to the site and an outdoor pool for those who prefer tiled bathing. The sanitary facilities are a bit older and rather functional. The cleanliness is O.K. but not outstanding. Showers are free of charge. It is very quiet on the site, partly because the owner rejects party and youth groups. The staff on the site are always present and very friendly and helpful. You always feel well looked after and we felt very comfortable there and would love to come back again.Automaatselt tõlgitud.

I thought the location was good, you can go shopping nearby... everything around the corner, we had electricity in the tent. I found the sanitary facilities a bit dirty (showers)... otherwise it was very clean and tidy... everyone... was friendly and very helpful. The lake is beautiful and we had lots of places to visit. The place is very well maintained, the sanitary facilities are comfortable and always clean. The lake is wonderful for swimming, especially when you come back from a long cycle tour. It is ideal for cycling here, cities such as Speyer, Germersheim and Karlsruhe... are easily accessible on beautiful cycle paths. It's also easy to get back from other destinations by bike on the train. The site manager has an open ear for everything, is quick to solve problems and has a friendly word for everyone. He has recently set up a bookshelf for giving and taking, which was quickly accepted. Service is really important here. We will be happy to come back.Automaatselt tõlgitud.

However, a quick visit on Sunday morning 4 weeks before our arrival persuaded us to book here. The campsite manager is extremely hard-working,... friendly and does his utmost to do justice to the vacationers here. We had reserved a pitch right by the lake and everything went extremely smoothly on arrival. The manager personally helped us set up and made every effort to ensure that we had everything we needed. The location is simply fantastic, we had a view of the lake from the caravan. The peace and quiet here is simply heavenly. The children could play extensively on the small playground less than 30 m away, could go into the water and simply felt at home here. I won't go into reviews of the sanitary facilities, as these are always snapshots. Such things stand and fall with the tourists present. That's why I don't think much of ratings from the ADAC and the like in this regard. What good is it if it is cleaned three times a day, a wild boar was in the toilet and afterwards it looks like a bomb has gone off and the campsite is rated negatively for it? It was definitely great here. The sanitary blocks are equipped as required and one of them is as good as new. One disadvantage mentioned by a previous speaker was that there were too few tourist pitches. I can only agree with that to a certain extent, I think that's what makes it so special, that there aren't too many tourist pitches, but lots of permanent campers. If you want to stay on the site for several days, we recommend making a reservation. We can recommend this campsite for families without reservation and we will definitely be back. As previous speakers have already described, there are 3 supermarkets practically on the doorstep and one of them even serves bread rolls on Sundays. There is Italian cuisine right next door and you can also get your food to the campsite. There are several (sometimes very quaint) restaurants in the village. As for the lake, the water is very clean and quite warm in summer. There are also quite large pike in it, but not in the swimming area. And at dusk, we were able to admire a few freshwater crayfish in the reed beds.Automaatselt tõlgitud.

The surroundings are beautiful,... the cycle paths are very well developed and there are also many places of interest near the campsite. Sanitary facilities seemed a bit small to me, but there... was little going on and therefore always enough space to shower/rinse... Cleanliness was ok, but that's always up to you... As we were traveling with a dog, we had to (or were allowed to) stand in a separate area in front of the actual campsite. As we occupied the only tourist pitches there. The two of us were allowed to enjoy 4 pitches. The pitch is flat and partly paved with... gravel. However, there are almost exclusively permanent campers on the site. However, the tourist pitches are beautifully situated right by the lake. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated but very clean (there was nothing going on). The showers are without an anteroom, you have to undress in the washroom (but I was almost always alone). There is a Rewe, Penny and Lidl in front of the site. So everything you need. There are lots of birch trees and willows on the site, allergy sufferers should avoid the spring, romantics are given plenty of light shade. The sanitary facilities are very well maintained.
