- Philo K.August 2024PositiivsedBeautiful surroundings. Clean facilityNegatiivsedLots of hustle and bustle.Nice campsiteOn arrival we had to wait about 30 minutes for our turn as we were there straight after the lunch break. The staff were very nice. The site is very large and therefore a bit confusing and rather hectic. The facilities are fully in order. The tent pitches were a bit confusing.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Nancy O.May 2024PositiivsedNothing at all.NegatiivsedWe had booked this campsite from 16.05. to 21.05.24. My husband had called Mosel Island before we arrived because the media were already talking about flooding. "Come on, it won't be that bad here," he was told. We struggled through the traffic. The highways were so packed due to the Whitsun weekend. When we finally arrived, we were told to leave the campsite because of the flood. After asking the campsite about our paid vacation, all we got was a standard email saying that we could still come until the end of the season. Every normal camper has already booked their entire vacation at the beginning of the year, including us. When I asked if we could come next year, there was no reply. I really understand giving up some of my money because of the floods, but you should at least get the money back for the people you have booked or offer a realistic replacement period. This is a pure rip-off and an absolute cheek from the place.Pure rip-offGoogle reviews at a glance

Warning, the place rips off!!!! We had booked this campsite from 16.05. to 21.05.24. My husband had called Mosel Island before arrival because there was already talk of flooding in the media. We had taken the precaution of checking on the campsite's website whether the site was open following the floods. There was no information on this in the week following the floods. We had also contacted the campsite by phone and they told us it was ok. And when we arrived on Thursday May 23rd at around 5pm, the lady at reception told us in a very unpleasant way that the campsite was closed. We asked about the 3-night reservation, and she said we'd be receiving an e-mail about it. No commercial apology from her and we had to look for a Park for night as we had already paid 136 euros for the stay. When my husband asked if it would be possible to refund us, she replied "no more money" and he asked where my payment was, she replied no more money. We're totally surprised by what she says, but we try to stay calm. Then on Friday May 24 I checked the campsite website, and there was finally the information that Mosel Island was closed until Wednesday May 29. Why weren't we contacted between Monday May 20 and Thursday May 23? Following the e-mail we received on May 25 at 2pm concerning the procedure that obliges us to rebook a stay between June and October 2024, we went to the campsite again at around 5pm to try and find a solution, and to our surprise the site was open, even though it was noted as closed on their website. The same lady was present in the reception office and again specified no refund. We asked her why she didn't offer to reschedule for Friday evening. It's important to know that the campsites could reopen on Fridays, as we saw motorhomes entering the Happy Holiday campsite in Ellenz. This is clearly a case of pure theft and swindling of their customers.Do not contact customers when the campsite is closedEllenz, right next to the boat to Bielstein. We have a strange feeling about this experience at Mosel Island campsite. Is it a commercial move to force customers to return within 4 months to the place you've visited in its entirety for 5 days? Having a motorhome is synonymous with freedom, and forcing... us to drive 800 kilometers there and back is totally against our wishes. We'd like to share this message because we'd like to protect other motorhome owners from this particular situation... but I think it's happened to other customers too, because Mosel Island has practised intelligently. It should be noted that as the other customers were not warned, they were forced to also pay for another campsite. As a result, the new customers who arrived over the weekend paid for their places. This is a very clever move on the part of the Mosel Island campsite, who are enjoying double benefits for a few days. Obviously, it's also about keeping your money. When you go to the police in Kochem, the officer tells you that if you hire a lawyer from the Rhineland-Palatinate region, he'll be able to defend you. This is also one of the reasons why the campsite allows itself every right.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Dieter S.March 2024Positiivsedthe situationNegatiivsedthe cleanlinessShort vacation on the MoselleA beautifully situated site on an island in the Moselle. When it rains, the natural pitches quickly turn into a muddy meadow. The sanitary facilities are outdated and unfortunately not cleaned regularly Toilet paper was only sparsely replenished. An additional toilet and shower trailer does not reflect a 5 star campsite.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Daniela G.September 2023PositiivsedBeautiful pitches directly on the banks of the MoselleNegatiivsedA little noisy due to a lot of train and car traffic on the opposite side of the Moselle.Very nice placeHello, this was our second time at this campsite. Everything was very nice so far. The reception was friendly and the pitch was beautifully situated right on the water.
Unfortunately, I only have to criticize the cleanliness in the sanitary buildings. The floor was hardly cleaned or not cleaned at... all (a brown stain was on the floor in the toilet cubicle for 3 days (or possibly still is)), and there were also mold stains in the shower cubicles. Unfortunately, I often observed the staff sitting on the floor in front of the washrooms and always on the phone. Maybe they should pay more attention to this because we would love to come back.Automaatselt tõlgitud. - Melanie D.August 2022PositiivsedLarge squaresNegatiivsedHygiene and cleanliness in the sanitary facilities Unfriendly staff Prices too highWomanSuper unfriendly and disorganized staff!
Cleanliness and hygiene in the sanitary facilities leaves a lot to be desired.

The CP is an absolute mess. Sanitary facilities briefly wiped once a day. Toilets, washbasins and showers were ignored. In the 14 days we were here, 2 toilet BRILLES were not replaced (they were completely broken on one side) Injuries pre-programmed!!!!...
Dogs had complete freedom here. They ran around freely and peed on the grass. Even the permanent campers
walked their dogs at the next hedge (about 5m). The homepage should also be updated. There is no bread service since this year. Once and never again and that for 40 euros!!!Automaatselt tõlgitud. - Christine S.June 2022PositiivsedThat you could easily extend for another day every day.NegatiivsedNone found.Pure relaxationI felt very comfortable and was able to relax really well. The staff are very friendly and courteous. As I didn't know whether my old dog would be able to manage the camping vacation, I was allowed to extend my stay for the next day every day. I also liked the fact that you could buy bread rolls from the bakery van, which came every day, without having to order them in advance.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Chris F.May 2022PositiivsedBeautiful location Large plotsNegatiivsedLoud music Dirty sanitary area No night's sleep Unfriendly receptionBallermann on the MoselleCamping to get used to!
First the positive: the pitches are large and some are located directly on the Moselle. The location on the island is beautiful, but also brings with it a certain amount of noise (frogs, train, air traffic). Dog was no problem.
But: we had a whole horde of party people next... to us for four days. Loud music from 11 a.m. until well after midnight, drunken bawling with no regard for our fellow campers. We didn't get any sleep the whole weekend. There was no groundsman to ensure peace and quiet and no number to call in such cases. Complaining to reception didn't help - they said they would speak to the people, but it felt even louder afterwards.
The highlight of the whole thing: the toilets were full to the toilet seat - there were only two men's toilets in the sanitary building that could still be used. Some of the men didn't even make it to the toilet - then they would pee wildly in the square. Or had it become too disgusting for them?
The sanitary facilities are also not up to date - the building has a certain prison character and the rest is housed in containers. At night, the washrooms were a meeting place for drunken youths.
Another annoying thing was that people let their dogs run around the playground without a lead.
WLAN not free of charge - only 15 minutes per device.
Arrival only from 3 pm, departure until 11 am.
Treis-Karden is a nice place - but NEVER AGAIN Mosel Island! We don't come to the Moselle for that Ballermann feeling.Automaatselt tõlgitud. - Heike L.August 2021PositiivsedNice barrels, great for a few nights, even with 2 children. Restaurant very tasty and friendly service. Nice playground.NegatiivsedWhat I experienced here at check-in almost took the joy out of my entire stay. The ladies were unfriendly, rude and almost insulting. We were there before 15:00 and were already reprimanded for it. Then it was too much to give us a chip to be allowed to drive onto the pitch (of course we only made this request after 3pm) and when I (well my fault, I didn't have the deposit with me in cash) told the lady this she almost snapped and ordered me in a commanding tone to make my way to the nearest bank immediately. Unbelievable. Great place, bad service. The stay was pleasant but only because we had no other points of contact with the "reception".Beautiful barrels, clean sanitary facilities and the most unfriendly ladies at the "reception"Shopping facilities, swimming pool and restaurants within walking distance.

The playground leaves a lot to be desired.Well - great name nothing behind itWe were there for a week. The photos looked so great. Unfortunately, we were taught better.
The playground could do with an overhaul.
The toilets were terrible. Everything was dirty. Very rarely cleaned and that in times of Corona. In addition, everything is pretty broken, toilet lid, silk dispenser etc.
Everything is very, very friendly at the registration desk, at least.Automaatselt tõlgitud. - Jochem S.July 2020PositiivsedSpacious pitches, friendly staff, very clean sanitary facilitiesNegatiivsedCampers who think they are alone on the pitch. But God knows that's not down to the site management.Very satisfied for yearsWe've been coming to the site for almost 10 years and there's a reason for that. When I read comments such as that the site is noisy because of the railroad and the road on the other side of the Moselle, I ask myself who can be so ignorant as to rent a site in a river valley and then blame the operator... for the noise. They obviously lack the necessary intelligence to know that roads and railroads are inevitably close together in a river valley. And as far as the sanitary facilities are concerned, I can't understand some of the comments. In all these years, we have never had cause for complaint. Of course, some people leave their skid marks, but that's not the operator's fault. They can't send a cleaner after every user. And in all these years, we have never noticed that the site was over-parked with cars. When I read these negative comments, I wonder if we are talking about the same campsite. But please, everyone is free to choose where they want to spend their vacation and if they think they can find something better, then I'm happy for them. And by the way, there's also a bread delivery service - you just have to be able to read.
One thing's for sure: we'll be back and we're looking forward to it.Automaatselt tõlgitud. - Dieter B.July 2020PositiivsedThe toilets and showers were clean and well maintainedNegatiivsedWLAN which can be bought additionally was a disaster. Campsite partially blocked with carsGood location, but......Basically the place is not bad, but where the 5 stars come from is not clear to me. The toilets and showers were clean and well-maintained, the WLAN which can be purchased additionally was a disaster. Apart from a "large meadow with two goals" and a playground, there is nothing on the pitch. The friendliness... of the reception could be improved. Unfortunately, the campsite is sometimes so crowded with cars that it gets tight if you want to park your bike on your pitch, here should be regulated e.g. one vehicle per pitch. At the time we were there there were several on many pitches. What didn't really bother us was the train on the other side of the Moselle but it was audible.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Martin O.July 2020PositiivsedThere was still room for usNegatiivsedOutdated sanitary facilities. Not even a toilet-cleaning machine. Very small pitches. The icing on the cake was that the operator then put 15 ruffians with plenty of alcohol reserves right in front of us, although there was enough space on the meadow. We won't be coming back here.Never, ever more than 3 stars! The 5-star classification is an absolute joke - it's actually a maximum of 3 stars. Why 20 young people with tents and plenty of alcohol reserves were placed between the mobile homes is a mystery to us. Especially as there was plenty of space 50m away.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Gabriele W.June 2020Positiivsed- View of the water - well-kept pitchNegatiivsed- Noise from freight trains, cars and motorcycles from the road on the other side of the Moselle - Very poor internetCamping on an island in the MoselleThe location on the island with a view of the Moselle is really beautiful. Due to the restrictions because of Corona, the sanitary facilities were mostly closed.
The night's sleep is severely restricted by the railroad line with many freight trains and the road with a lot of traffic. The internet is... very poor at the campsite: we couldn't receive any mobile data and Wi-Fi is only included for 15 minutes per day.
From the campsite you can take a nice bike ride along the Moselle through a nature reserve to Cochem and from Karden you can take a nice hike on the Moselsteig trail.Automaatselt tõlgitud. - Reinhard W.April 2020PositiivsedBeen there 5 times - always satisfied. - Günni K.October 2019PositiivsedSupermarket, etc. nearby.Negatiivsedtoo expensive.5 stars are clearly 2 too manyStayed for 4 days at the CP located directly on the Moselle. Is rated in the in-house flyer with 5 stars, which clearly does not correspond to the facts. The price-performance ratio is not right. 38,-€/p.N. for motorhome with 2 persons + dog is relatively expensive, showers cost extra. ACSI Card is no... longer accepted in October. The railroad line opposite is very noisy due to many freight trains. We have had better campsites on the Moselle, e.g. in Bernkastel.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Mario H.September 2019PositiivsedDirectly on the Moselle; very clean and quite modernVery good place directly on the MoselleWe were here in the low season 2019. With ACSI discount a great rate! We were very impressed by the service, the friendliness and the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities! The town itself isn't necessarily a hive of activity, it's more of a very small, cozy Moselle wine village. Nevertheless, we liked it very much and will definitely come back again!Automaatselt tõlgitud.
