It is very conveniently located, is very clean, is idyllic despite the freeway with the edge of the water, has super wide paths, especially for long vehicles, has very large pitches, is ideally located next to a super resturat (reservation required) and has - and I would like to emphasize this in particular - very friendly, super helpful operators. On arrival, we discussed where and how we wanted to stand and how our friends should position themselves the next day. Then the question "bread rolls" and then we went to the green area we had discussed to set... up the caravan. Electricity connected and the weekend could begin. After asking which tours could be done by bike 🚲 or e-bike 🚴🏼, I was provided with information and a route plan. So equipped, we spent a super nice weekend with friends at this campsite. Very nice view of the Lippe. A feel-good weekend. Bread rolls are great as well as the easy pick up in the morning.
Unfortunately some pitches are vacant so the overall picture deteriorates.
The permanent campers are very friendly and the terraces... are well maintained.
We knew where the site was near the highway and power station. Real Ruhrpott charm.
Didn't bother us either.
The highway bridge is the problem here. You can hear the crossing onto the bridge from the road and it's loud. It could be perceived as an eternal thundering.
You get used to it after a day.

Very positive: The electricity was not charged at a flat rate as announced on the website - but according to actual consumption. As campers, we only had a cool box and our smartphones as consumers.

The couple who ran the place were not only friendly and accommodating, but also took care of many of the preparations that should have been our job. It... was a fantastic experience for the children and a reason for us to camp here even without children. We have already been there several times and there are many more to come. It is located directly at the Hamm-Uentrop highway exit 19. There are plenty of pitches on a level meadow and some trees provide shade. The sanitary building is in urgent need of renovation and modernization! No toilet seats, no soap dispenser in the men's toilet.
