There is table tennis, mini golf, a playground and a snack bar. We arrived on Monday and everything was great.NegatiivsedIt gets more and more crowded towards the weekend and as there are no fixed pitches, everyone does what they want. I felt very cramped at the end and we left early. In contrast to other campsites, the people here were very reserved and unfriendly. We were there at the end of February. We actually wanted to park our motorhome on the Elbe in Meißen - danger of flooding. When we drove on late in the evening we discovered by chance a blue campsite sign which we followed and found ourselves at the Waldbad Oberau campsite.... The site was of course closed. But as we were self-sufficient, it was no problem to spend the night in the large parking lot in front of the entrance.
The next day, Monday, we were able to make the super nice acquaintance of one of the site's employees, who also allowed us to visit the site. We were amazed at how clean and tidy the site was at this time of year! To top it all off, we were also allowed to dispose of our chemical toilet and fill up our 10-liter water canister. Our heartfelt thanks once again!

We are 2 adults and 2 children. It was a great vacation. The staff are nice and totally helpful. There was disinfectant everywhere and signs about social distancing.
We were not on the tent meadow but stood a bit apart on the lawn. It was a great spot. It was shady and the... children could get into the water and we could watch them from the tent.
Another highlight was the mini golf course. There is also a playground, table tennis tables and a volleyball court.
The sanitary buildings were always clean, despite the fact that the campsite was full.
There are a lot of permanent campers on the site. They are all very nice. (we have experienced it differently).
There is a restaurant on the site, which is open from midday until 7pm. The service is very friendly and open to suggestions. 100% better than the tenant last year.
The only small drawback: there is no store where you can get something quickly. The nearest stores are about 5 km away in Weinböhla, Lidl, Penny, Edeka. So either bring everything with you or come by car so that you can go shopping. We didn't mind at all.
We felt so comfortable that we have already booked the next week again. The surroundings are quiet, the forest and many trees provide shade and the water is a good place to cool off. The price-performance ratio is great. The staff are very friendly and helpful. You can relax wonderfully, swim etc.. Shopping facilities and bread service are not available, no problem if you are mobile. The nearest supermarket is 5km away. There are restaurants, but with strange opening hours.... This is not the fault of the campsite, as the snack bar is run externally. WLAN is not available, no problem, you can do without it. But here's the downside: there are several rooms on the campsite that are rented out for parties and the like. This can get extremely loud (in good weather, the guests are also outside, right next to the pitch) when the alcohol is flowing in streams. We had to endure a night of loud booing until well after midnight. That is not acceptable. Conclusion: avoid the campsite at the weekend (Fri.-Sat.).Automaatselt tõlgitud.

We can therefore only look at the campsite from the outside and it looks well maintained. Overall, we were impressed by the peaceful and natural design of the area, the cleanliness and family... friendliness. The food was very child-friendly,... the ice cream freezer was always well stocked and the prices were reasonable. The site was very clean and the staff were friendly.
