Herr K.July 2021Positiivsed-just behind the dune -Gastronomy in front of the campsite -within walking distance of the town center -3 supermarkets nearby Camping areas are parceled out, i.e. no closer together afterwardsNegatiivsed-not suitable for 1 or 2 person tents -almost exclusively families with large tents & motorhomes -no "camping atmosphere", too anonymous -sandy, dry pine forest soil, rainwater does not seep in, flooding - Powerbank & charger were stolen in the washroom by other guests (access only with chip) -No charging possibility for batteries & power banks at the reception, a no go! -Sanitary clean, but bestial smell in the 2 used WC men's wings (of 3) over the entire 7 days -Hardly any pitches for 1-2 man tents, and they are much worse situatedOnly suitable for large tents, motorhomes & campersConclusion: The campsite run by the municipality is certainly the first choice in terms of location, but is unsuitable for solo travelers, cyclists or people who want to make contact quickly. These people should rather camp in the neighboring village of Trassenheide. The service of having the caravan pulled to the pitch by tractor was great. With your own car, the ramps down would also be a real challenge, as would the sandy ground.
Many access points directly from the pitch to the Baltic Sea through a narrow belt of dunes. The landscape... and the great beach are fantastic. Only the many jellyfish in the water spoil the bathing fun. Textiles and nudism available on the beach - everyone as they like it. And now in the low season, the separation was also fluid.
Access to the sanitary facilities is only possible with a chip that opens the doors. If you don't have it with you, it looks bad. The toilet and washing areas were bright and clean, and the coronavirus-related distancing rules were well implemented.
Karlshagen is easy to reach on foot or by bike. All shopping facilities are available in the village.

The site is located in a wooded area, only separated from the Baltic Sea by a dune. The site has its own beach access. The site is dominated by permanent campers and is very clean and tidy. The sanitary... facilities look brand new, are well maintained and clean. Regular cleaning. We were surprised that you don't have to bring your caravan to the pitch yourself, this is done by a "shuttle service" by tractor. Any car would be lost in the sand...
2 nights, caravan & awning & tent, 2 adults, 2 teenagers with tourist tax approx. € 125.00. OK for the time being, it was the only pitch out of 15 requested that still had capacity at that time.

(Can not park backwards, but at high speed forward through the campsite road!) Very loud children's entertainment... announcement by rolling megaphone in the morning at about 9 o'clock. - Michael F.August 2019Little performance for a lot of moneyToo bad that you can no longer rely on the stars if you are looking for a campsite, this place has nothing to offer, except the proximity to the beach, no shopping, few showers, for children so not at all suitable because Spielmiglichkeiten are very limited, the reception was for my feeling already unfriendly,... total rip-off as far as car and dog are concerned, for the car which is parked in front of the lockers on the street 6 euros a day, calculated 180 euros a month, that doesn't even cost a garage in Berlin 😬 for our little dog 10 euros a day, if you consider that a child costs 3.5 euros.,! Very expensive and nothing is offered in return. The best thing about the place was the mega great beach. Who does not want to talk on vacation is right there. You can shower for 4 minutes then you have to wait 3 minutes until it... turns on again for 4 minutes. The place is clean, which is also ensured by the snippy permanent campers who have nothing better to do than check on everyone. We can't understand the 5 stars or the justification for the price. Unfortunately, we were greeted very unfriendly, which is a shame on the day of arrival. The place has neither a shopping facility, nor anything else that would justify 5 stars. But that doesn't mean that you can't have a nice vacation there. The wash houses are fine and the location, directly behind the dune, is great. Dogs cost €10 a day and caravans over 7 m are also more expensive than caravans under 7 m!More appearance than reality and very expensive!Only high season but all activities start at the beginning of June! Dogs cost 10 € per day! That's €2 more than for an adult! Apart from the obligatory dog shower and the dog waste bag machines, which were mostly empty, nothing is offered! For 2 adults and a caravan (over 7 m costs extra) with car and... our dog we paid over 110 € for 2 nights! We will avoid this site in future! The site is in a quiet location and is ideal for... exploring the area by bike - if only to go to the fishmonger in the harbor or the ice cream parlor. Rico F.October 2018PositiivsedDirectly near the Baltic Sea, you can enjoy the sound of the Baltic Sea from the pitchNegatiivsedThere may not be enough sanitary facilities if there is much more activity.Worthwhile in the low seasonFour of us (2 adults, 2 children: 7,10) stayed at the campsite in the first week of October. We received a very friendly welcome. Our caravan was towed directly to our pitch behind the dune, i.e. 1st row, with a tractor. There were only 3 or 4 other caravans around us... A wonderful amount of space in... the low season. In summer, you're more likely to be sneaked in here, but we can only guess. The electricity connection was a little further away than we thought, but here too the campsite team helped us very easily and provided us with a cable reel. The sanitary facilities are very new and in very good condition, with plenty available for the low season. Probably not enough for the high season. Now in the fall, all caravans and motorhomes were accommodated under the "forest" part of the site. The other two parts of the site were not used. There was only a grocery store, snack bar or bakery directly on site until September 30th. We had to get our bread rolls in the village... There were various bakeries and supermarkets 5 minutes away by bike. The beach is beautiful and you can really enjoy the sunrises here. Karlshagen and the surrounding area as well as the other spas offer a lot to see. The museum in Peenemünde and a trip to the Achterwasser are highly recommended. We did a lot of cycling. In addition to the rather unpleasantly noisy cycle paths right next to the road, there are also beautiful routes through the countryside. The pitches are mostly in spruce forest with sandy soil, little grass. Toilets clean and tidy. Shower and washroom separated from the toilets and accessible via an access control system. Patrick O.October 2017PositiivsedGreat location, clean, quiet, staff almost all very friendly,NegatiivsedFriendliness at the reception leaves a lot to be desired (as unfortunately everywhere: cleanliness of some people in the sanitary facilities)Super campsiteWe (2 adults + 2 children (4+6)) were there for 1 week at the beginning of October 2017. We arrived around 11am and our caravan was immediately pulled to the right place by an employee and his tractor (ideal for someone who is not yet so good at maneuvering with a trailer). However, there are no real... pitches as we know it from other campsites but it seems a bit wild. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, except at reception. The good woman at reception wasn't particularly friendly on arrival and departure and she also got snotty in between when we just wanted to change money for the washing machine. The sanitary facilities are new and were mostly clean. Mostly because unfortunately there are people who are real pigs (are they like that at home too?). If everyone cleaned up after themselves, the quality would improve for everyone. What does the poor cleaner not have to look at? The location directly behind the dune is of course really good. Depending on the pitch, it's a maximum of 5 minutes to the beach. If the bakery on site is not open, like ours, you need about 5 minutes to the nearest bakery. The nearest supermarket can also be reached by car in 5 minutes (but only because you are only allowed to drive at 30 km/h until then). We spent a great week here (despite the changeable weather) and will be back (despite the receptionist).Automaatselt tõlgitud.

We weren't looking.Dune campLarge but manageable campsite only separated from the Baltic Sea by the dyke. Sanitary facilities good and clean, showers included. The bakery is open every day in the morning, including Sundays and public holidays (Oct. 3). The restaurant was already closed - until May 18! Bear in mind that the campsite... is open all year round. Uncomplicated and friendly welcome. Tractor shuttles for WoWa great. Could probably lead to longer waiting times in the high season, but it went quickly for us. Attention! If you book a camper van pitch, you need to take pegs and a decent hammer with you. The ground is so compacted that you have no chance of securing your awning to the ground with normal pegs or screw pegs.
