- Kevin K.May 2023PositiivsedOnly the locationNegatiivsedFacility is totally run down. Maintenance is not carried out. Staff totally overwhelmed and don't seem to know what they are doing! Staff at the snack bar mega unfriendly!Lots of potential but nothing going on!The place itself is mega beautiful. If it were maintained! Pitches mostly not mowed. Everything is very run down! A new owner is needed to breathe new life into the site! It would be a shame
The beautiful place, but we will not go there again!Automaatselt tõlgitud. - Stefanie G.August 2018A lot promised and hardly anything offered. A huge flop!!!According to the very appealing website of the resort, I decided to come here with my two sons (4 and 5) from the Black Forest (750 km away). We spent two weeks (28.07 - 11.08.2018) at the Heidesee. We stayed in the Tessin 1 vacation apartment and were able to make ourselves comfortable on the adjoining... terrace. WiFi reception there in the apartment and also on the entire complex (despite buying a WiFi package) was zero. The TV could also hardly be used as the picture on all channels was distracting. This would have been very practical from time to time, especially at lunchtime, to be able to keep the children indoors at temperatures of over 32 degrees every day. The playground right next to the house was very practical for us at first glance, but at second glance it was in need of renovation. The sandpit had completely fallen apart and was very dangerous,.... The apartment itself was clean, except for the toilet which stank terribly from the first day. Generously furnished for the three of us, with plenty of storage space. The kitchen was also equipped with the essentials, except for a freezer compartment which would have been an advantage in this weather. The approach to the site starts off adventurously. In the middle of the forest, well signposted, an unpaved, more badly than right paved gravel road leads to the park. The campsite is lifeless, only the FEWOs and bungalows as well as rental caravans are fully booked, hardly any permanent campers on the site and certainly no other campers. The overall occupancy was even worse in week two. The level of satisfaction with regard to the site was unsatisfactory when talking to other guests. We have already been to several campsites, but we have never experienced such a run-down, miserable campsite! We were actually here every day because of complaints: Animation, snack bar, outdoor pool, WLAN, etc. at reception. The ladies were always nice and friendly, promising remedies that they couldn't keep. The owner has the right answer for everything. The whole complex itself would be in a great location if it were maintained and renovated and the necessary staff were present for all areas!!!! Spacious and very quiet location. However, the overall picture is tarnished here too. Everything looks run down and abandoned. There is building rubble and demolition rubble on some plots. The gastronomy advertised on the homepage has been closed for a long time. This leaves only the kiosk as an alternative. This is sporadically supplied with food or not. Sometimes there is a sign in the morning saying that there is ONLY ice cream and drinks for sale today!!!! What a cheek! On the days in question, this is then run by the entertainment team, as the actual staff have called in sick at short notice. On only 4 out of 14 days did we have the opportunity to order something warm to eat there. The entertainment team was very unreliable. Two vacation jobbers from the Netherlands who barely spoke a word of German. There was a lack of punctuality, the aforementioned knowledge of German, specific activities and their accessories. Due to a lack of empty PET bottles, children cannot take part in the advertised water games. Water games = defending an open, full water bottle from another player who wants to knock it over with a ball. I simply understand animation to mean something completely different. Then it's better not to offer it at all. Because this unreliability further tarnishes the overall picture. Both playgrounds are dilapidated and some parts are already rotting apart. The large playground still has some play equipment from the GDR era, which must therefore be at least 30 years old. A bit of paint and refurbishment is also urgently needed. The indoor hall is always open and still relatively new. It was often used and is in good condition. The petting zoo, or the animal enclosure as it is known, is another neglected corner of the site. A few goats and three Heidschnuggen still hold their ground. Other enclosures are unoccupied. All barely maintained and not accessible for petting. Unfortunately, the toddler pool in the outdoor pool was out of order from week two. It couldn't be repaired for the rest of the time, even with daily temperatures of over 32 degrees. It's sad that the pleasure fails due to a defective pump, which apparently has a delivery time of 4-5 weeks. This will certainly no longer be needed in the fall. The lake is very secluded and simply great. With a water trampoline, water fountain and sandy beach. Fortunately, we were able to spend the days there. Conclusion: For the available offer clearly overpriced.... and in no way recommendable!!! Unfortunately, we have to agree with the other negative opinions.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Henning F.May 2016PositiivsedLake, nice receptionNegatiivsedOld sanitary facilities, many empty caravan ruins on the siteLots of potential, unfortunately unusedWe (2 adults / 2 children) were on the site over Whitsun. Reception etc very friendly. Free choice of pitch, not parceled out. Electricity and water on site; bread rolls can be ordered at fair prices; lake as the center of the site very nice. Indoor playground for the little ones is good. The many barracks... and old unused caravans around the lake are not nice. This actually reduces the recreational effect when walking around the lake. The sanitary facilities are dark and old, but work...at least. There is no store or similar on the site. Overall result: If the site were properly tidied up and modernized, you could go there again...unfortunately not like thisAutomaatselt tõlgitud.
- Lukas P.December 2014PositiivsedLarge pitches, quiet location, close to nearest towns, large children's playground, bathing lake, rental apartments on siteNegatiivsedSanitary facilities old and not well cleaned, restaurant and indoor playground irregularly or not openNeed for refurbishmentThe site seems to have seen better days. The sanitary facilities were very old and unfortunately we didn't take the opportunity to "clean up" during the almost guest-free period. There was also no adequate heating, so we couldn't use the showers with children. The indoor playground advertised on the... website is not in operation. The restaurant was not even open between Christmas and New Year's Eve on the few days it was open (Friday to Sunday). In summer they seem to charge 1 EUR per 10 minutes for the trampoline. Part of the naturist area under demolition. All in all, this was probably our last visit. Unfortunately, the place doesn't even come close to the charm of the internet presentation. The friendly receptionists don't really help. Even permanent campers with whom we got into conversation brought up the negative development. What a pity...Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Guenter G.September 2014PositiivsedNature outside the squareNegatiivsedBad restaurant Demutivated staff No shopping facilities Sanitary facilities as they were in 1979Unfortunately totally run downSince the new owners took over the place in 2010, unfortunately hardly anything has happened. The sanitary facilities are as they were 30 years ago. The naturist area has been closed since this fall. The permanent campers have to vacate the pitches within 3 months. The textile campers will also have... to move, as the owners want to pave over the site with huts. We can therefore no longer recommend it as a campsite. The charm of the last few years is unfortunately gone. The campsite staff are constantly changing. The restaurant has a new tenant every year and the food is unfortunately worse with each new tenant.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Achim G.September 2014Positiivsed-free choice of pitch on great terrain -no driving ban during any rest periods -very friendly staff -beautiful areaNegatiivsed-A lot of "work" going on at the moment, but certainly temporary -lawnmower mercilessly without consideration and dust collectorGreat late summer vacationThe site is, at least in September, simply wonderfully quiet for relaxing. During the season there is certainly a lot more hustle and bustle, which is indicated by the wide range of games and sports facilities and a small swimming pool. The sanitary buildings were somehow left in the 80s, but they were... always clean. The road leads directly into the heath. Thanks to "Tango", we had our sufficiently motorized moped with us and enjoyed the often car-free roads in the area. Ok, there are certainly more bends elsewhere, but the trips to Uelzen, Bad Bevensen, Hamburg and Lüneburg were great fun in the best biking weather. Definitely worth seeing: Lüneburg and the small town of Müden. The free choice of pitches on the large meadows or parcelled out, NO silly midday rest and really friendly and committed staff will definitely make us want to come back.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Gabi T.September 2014PositiivsedPeace and relaxation in beautiful surroundingsNegatiivsednoneRelaxation in beautiful natureWe stayed at this campsite for the first time from 31.8. - 8.9.2014 - but certainly not the last time! Generously laid out, free choice of pitches, sufficient electricity and water supply and always just a few steps away. We used the "upper wash house", which was always clean - showers cost nothing extra!... The washing-up area could do with one or two more sinks. It was always clean here too and we had nice conversations with other campers. We also used the swimming pool with slide - simply wonderful! The food in the restaurant was good and the service was very friendly. The area is fantastically beautiful when the heather is in bloom; the town of Uelzen is also worth a visit and we really enjoyed it. The wonderful peace and quiet should also be mentioned. However, this may be different in the high season.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Mathias W.August 2014PositiivsedSuper nice for children Swimming pool Bathing lake Petting zooNegatiivsedNo direct shopping facilities on the squareKids, where are you?We stayed in a rented caravan for 10 days in August (2 children + 2 adults). The caravan was in good condition and clean, everything was available such as toaster, coffee machine, microwave, small oven, gas stove as well as cutlery, plates etc.. The campsite is really great for children, with a swimming... pool, petting zoo, swimming lake, playground, skating rink, etc. There was a great entertainment program for the children. They were so enthusiastic and we hardly got to see them, they were constantly out and about, what a break for us parents, I wouldn't have thought so.there is no midday rest, which I personally find very good, as I find this bourgeoisie dreadful and if it's loud in the evening... Well... I come from Berlin and am used to a lot. Showers and toilets could be more modern but are ok and clean. A small store to buy the essentials is unfortunately missing and you have to drive 5 minutes, but then everything is available in Fassberg. We didn't go to the restaurant either, we preferred to try the restaurants in the area. We highly recommend the restaurant at Heidesee in Müden. It was a great vacation for the whole family, I've never experienced anything like it, how happy and content the children were. Sometimes I thought I had lost them somewhere or didn't even have them with me.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Tomy M.August 2014PositiivsedIdeal for parties no matter how loud and how longNegatiivsedShopping possibility too far approx. 7 km Too loud at night until 3.00 amonce and never againNot recommended for couples without children. The toilets are containers and outdated. Be careful on the nudist place we were very often disturbed by curious (peeping toms)Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Gerhard K.July 2013PositiivsedPeace and quiet, swimming in the pool and lake in summer, cycle paths and endless forest and heathland areas.NegatiivsedInflexibility of the reception when booking a longer stay. always only from the 1st of each month, problematic in the middle! For people looking for peace and quiet in the forest and heath. We visited the campsite in Oberohe several times a year. This year from July to September. The site offers the advantage of absolute tranquillity in the middle of the Südheide, with a bathing lake created from diatomite extraction, an unheated swimming pool with a water slide since 2011 and a paddling... pool for small children. There is also a covered tennis court, play facilities for children, bike and go-kart rental, a fistball court, a soccer pitch, an asphalted scateboard track with half pipes and daily children's entertainment during the high season. From the site you can go on extensive hiking and cycling tours in the beautiful southern heath or car tours to the Hundertwasser train station in Uelzen, to Celle or to the otter center in Hankensbüttel. You can take a 1/2 hour walk around the site or use the diatomaceous earth footpath, which runs partly in the outer area and threatens to become more and more overgrown and is not conducive to the current appearance of the site! (lack of maintenance) There is no longer a naturist area!!! The sanitary facilities on the textile square are functional and clean (partly also in containers) but not up to the latest standard.the store under the restaurant was closed this year and the sale of newspapers and pre-ordered bread rolls was moved to the kiosk above, but is only open from 8 to 10 a.m., then only again in the afternoon. Otherwise you have to go by car to Faßberg or Ünterlüß to the self-service markets.those looking for peace and relaxation are in good hands here.absolutely quiet at night!!! The prices are moderate due to the location of the place. According to the reception and the new Dutch owners, the naturist area should definitely remain and also be modernized, but unfortunately the entire naturist area fell victim to the pickaxe in autumn 2014. Allegedly, vacation accommodation is now to be built there. The site is also to undergo various improvements, but no one has said which ones - let's hope and be surprised next summer! The access road was asphalted at the end of the cobblestone road so that you no longer have to drive through large holes! If you want to stay for several months, you can only book from the 1st of a month to the 31st. The reception is very inflexible here. It gives the impression that individual weeks or days cannot be calculated. The cobblestone road leading from the country road to the campsite is an imposition for arriving guests! Some people seem to have already considered turning back here.addendum: The entire naturist area was abolished and leveled in 2015.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Martina M.May 2013We will definitely be back, everyone was very friendly and helpful, keep up the good work.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Thomas H.May 2012The comfort pitches are very spacious. The sanitary cabin on the pitch is of an older standard, partly a little worn but clean. The entire CP was well maintained. There are lots of play facilities for children. You can tell that children are welcome guests there. The restaurant on the campsite had closed indefinitely on our day of departure.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Claudia und Peter B.October 2011We were on the naturist part of the campsite in October 2011. It was very quiet - no noise at night other than pure nature. The shower containers on the naturist part were heated and therefore pleasantly cozy even at night temperatures of up to minus 8 degrees. The surroundings are simply beautiful.... There's lots to see on foot, by bike or by car - towns, museums, nature. At this time of year, the site is ideal for those looking for peace and quiet and relaxation, rather than for families with children. This will be completely different in summer thanks to the heated swimming pool and the campsite's own bathing lake, but unfortunately the restaurant did not promise what was advertised on the menu outside. Many delicious dishes were advertised - but when we were there there were "only" hunter, gypsy, etc. schnitzels. Schnitzel. (It still tasted good) We were then told that this selection was seasonal. However, the menu was also immediately removed following our criticism. The opening hours of the restaurant were then also gradually reduced during our stay. We will definitely be back. Positive: No driving ban at lunchtime.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Martin G.June 2010We stayed at this 17-hectare campsite for five days in June 2010. The pitches around the bathing lake are mainly occupied by permanent campers. The tourist site is generously laid out and pitches are free. The sanitary facilities are clean and practically equipped. The secluded trails around the lake... invite you to take an evening stroll. Good location for hiking and cycling tours in the Südheide, or by car to Uelzen (Hundertwasser train station) or Bergen Belsen)Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Gunter p.April 2010The tenant became the buyer. But now the sale has been completed and you can see how things are moving forward at a rapid pace. Of course, Rome wasn't built in a day. But thanks to the staff, hardly any wishes remain unfulfilled.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Melani H.March 2010We were there on March 27, 2010. Unfortunately everything was closed, no playhouse, no restaurant, no store. We could have stayed there anyway, but we didn't want to do so almost alone. According to the groundsman we found a little later, the campsite had been leased to Dutch people and nobody could... say what would happen next. The new owners would probably come. We then drove on to the next best site in Wietzendorf. But from what we saw, we can well imagine going there again as soon as everything is sorted out and everything is open again. I think this will happen in the near future.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
