- Thorsten K.August 2019PositiivsedClose to the beach Shady spotsNegatiivsedSanitary facilities could be renovatedWell located place directly on the beachWe stayed here for 2 nights and it is difficult to get a pitch without a reservation, especially in the high season. The comfort pitch was great but not easy to move into with our caravan. The slope and sandy ground were a challenge for us and our neighbors. The sanitary facilities were relatively clean... but it gave the impression that you always had to wait for a free toilet. The showers could not be adjusted - the beach directly adjacent is positive. The night time was also well kept. On the whole, we felt comfortable whether the service is sufficient for the price of just under 60 EUR for 2 people per night? I have already experienced much more upscale in the region on vacation.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Herbert B.September 2018September 2018, much open, direct to beach/sea great placeStayed there for 14 days in September 2018 and really enjoyed it. Sanitary and showers .... everything clean. Electricity and water, everything directly at the pitch. Service very pleasant. Multilingual, including German. We will be back again.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Udo E.July 2018PositiivsedBeach, waves, water, locationNegatiivsedExpensive savings marketSummer vacation directly behind the duneOur first summer vacation in our own caravan and then such luck. We had a pitch right behind the dune in the first row. In the evening we could hear the sound of the sea, simply brilliant. The sanitary facilities were clean, there were no complaints. The supermarket was quite expensive, which was certainly... due to the monopoly ;-) The food, ice cream and entertainment on and in front of the campsite were very good. We were a bit skeptical based on some of the reviews we had read here. However, these were not confirmed at all. The youth groups on site (surfer camps) were quiet after 10pm. This is a real MUST for surfers. Super nice waves, a spacious beach and great refreshing water. Absolutely great with a dog.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Benjamin D.August 2017PositiivsedGreat beach for surfingNegatiivsedEnvironment characterized by tourismGreat place in the southBeautiful CP in the south of France. Situated directly on a beach popular with surfers. Well-kept pitches, plots with paved pitches for caravans. Typical for the south, simple but clean sanitary facilities. Some French toilets, some ceramic bowls without glasses. Toilet roll always under your arm. Showers... nice and hot even at peak times. Baby bath tubs and fun little toilets for small children. CP guarded around the clock, you identify yourself as a camping guest with a wristband. Great pool area supervised by a lifeguard. Directly in front of the entrance is a tourist shopping street with some nice restaurants and bars, medium-sized supermarket, but relatively expensive. Next large supermarket "U-Express" approx. 5 km away. Nice French weekly markets within a few minutes' drive every day, the olives are highly recommended. Barbecues with open fires are prohibited on the campsite. Gas barbecues are permitted. Weather at the beginning of August 2017 very sunny and warm, but more than pleasant due to the constant light sea breeze.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Christina K.July 2017PositiivsedLocation on the beach!NegatiivsedVery full and some places too loud!!! Row behind the supermarket do not rent! QM information incomprehensible!Location on the beach very nice. Beach and water top! But very crowded! After we had booked an extra large comfort pitch in a quiet location very early on, it was a disaster! Slum-like corner with old containers for the animators and employees (who could understand our complaint: "I know, I live there too!") of the campsite directly behind the fence of the supermarket. Not... a trace of peace or a nice atmosphere! The noise of the delivery trucks, garbage trucks (also containers with glass) and the cardboard press cannot even be drowned out by the animation !!! The proximity to the Ballermann Mile is noticeable by roaring and arguing voices, which are usually replaced towards morning by the beginning deliveries of the supermarket around 5.35 am! This area of the campsite should be avoided as far as possible!!! Not recommended, which is also noticeable due to the frequent change of guests! It's a pity that this was not pointed out beforehand. These pitches should not be rented out! The surcharge for a larger pitch is completely incomprehensible, adjacent pitches just as large, but much cheaper ?!! Poor sanitary facilities and not particularly clean! Why no toilet seats?Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Bastian K.August 2016PositiivsedGreat location, right on the beach (no road in between), spacious place with lots of entertainment, nice pool and quite clean sanitary facilitiesNegatiivsedsome pitches on the edge of the campsite facing the road quite noisy, directly behind a supermarket that receives deliveries at around 5 a.m.Great campsite in an excellent location!!!If you are looking for a campsite right on the Atlantic Ocean (in the dune strip), then you have found it with this great campsite! A site with three direct accesses to the huge, fine sandy beach. A surfer's paradise with the right atmosphere! The campsite is large, but not oversized. The pitches are... all quite close to the six spacious sanitary blocks, some of which are new or have been modernized. The usual pine vegetation provides plenty of shade! For us as a family with two boys (aged 5 and 9), it was a great camping vacation and we will be booking here again next year!Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Markus K.August 2016PositiivsedShady spots, directly behind the dune, very lively beach promenade with shops and restaurantsNegatiivsedExpensive, lousy sanitary facilities, noisy, beach very crowded by Atlantic standards.Lots of shadow, little light.Price-performance ratio catastrophic. Never, ever 4 stars. Positive: Many places in the shade. Right next to the beach promenade. Many shopping and dining options within walking distance. First pitches directly behind/next to the dune. Swimming pool available. Negatives: Expensive, poor price/performance... ratio. 3 out of 6 sanitary facilities very old. Very noisy: Animation all day. However, very quiet on the pitch from 11.30 pm. But background noise from the beach promenade, bars etc. until late into the night. From 5 a.m., the SPAR supermarket opposite is noisily unloaded. This is accompanied by the emptying of garbage and glass containers. Sanitary facilities are cleaned 8 hours a day according to the control sheet. In fact, 90% of the time you see the cleaning staff smoking, flirting or dancing to the BoomBox they brought along. All 3 beach accesses to the campsite are natural. Very exhausting with 2 children. Cold dishwater at peak times. No temperature control in the shower. No toilet paper.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Nico W.August 2016PositiivsedAcross the dune and already by the sea. The children really enjoyed the disco.NegatiivsedFind a campsite far away from the entertainment area or plan excursions with the family until midnightSuper surf. Deafening noise at some pitches until shortly before 24.00We had a pitch near the entertainment area. Almost every day there was a different disco or noise event, thanks to the entertainment team there was no sleep before midnight, and the same event started again at 9am. The atmosphere of this event is funny and musically appealing with small bands. If you... want to sleep a little earlier, you should get a place far away from the central area. Otherwise, the promenade in front of the square also offers numerous restaurants, stalls and stores, which offer variety at least until midnight, the discos even longer. Compared to les Cigales, there is little disturbance from the disco-goers. Our children really enjoyed the French-language entertainment program in the tent and at the pool, even if they don't speak the language, but you don't need to in order to dance and sing. The place is ideal for surfing, you can check the tide and the waves from the platform before you move across the dune with your board. Of course, it's very busy in the high season. But there is plenty of space, especially in the mornings and evenings. At high tide, small lakes form behind the large, fine sandy beach covered with shells, making this section of the Atlantic very suitable for small children. The playgrounds on the site are well maintained. For the older ones there are adventure parks a few kilometers away with go-karts, Klezterwald and Gotcha. Good shopping facilities on the Mile and at the SuperU in Messanges. Excursions to the fiestas there, in Dax and Dan Sebastian. The surf spots in Hossegor etc. are also not far away. We will certainly be back.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Klaus L.June 2016PositiivsedPlace directly on the endless sandy beach.NegatiivsedBeach is increasingly littered with plastic waste.Great place right on the beachWonderful campsite right on the huge sandy beach. Excellent value for money, especially with ACSI. Shopping facilities and restaurants right next to the site. Very friendly staff. Unfortunately, the beach has become increasingly littered with plastic waste in recent years.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Walter G.June 2016PositiivsedBeautiful square with new wash housesNegatiivsedNoise from holidaymakers and cars late into the nightCould be better if that was the intentionThere is little interest in campers, more in renting out the cabins. Lots of noise from a few guests who are not supervised. Cars drive until after 11 pm Great place with a lot of potential that is not used.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Henning N.August 2014Well, yes.Location is great - short distances to the water. The sanitary facilities are clean but very old. The pool is not usable in high season. Totally overcrowded and it smells massively of chlorine - we were disgusted. Nice concerts in the evening.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Bo S.August 2014PositiivsedGreat location by the seaGreat locationCP simply has a great location by the sea. Sanitary facilities (all unisex) are very different. The newer one in the middle is immaculate. But even the older ones, some of which are in need of renovation, are cleaned several times a day. It's up to the campsite users to think about what they leave behind.... Pitches by the sea are very sandy. Care should be taken with cars. There was virtually no entertainment at the end of August and beginning of September. So there was no noise pollution. The surf camp on the beach was of course audible on a few days in the evening. But from 11pm until 8am it was completely quiet. WiFi relatively expensive (24h = 8€ / 14 days =33€). Outdoor pool not heated. Indoor pool incl. Suana costs in Jul & Aug. From Sep then free. For dog owners: No dog showers, no waste garbage cans at the beach entrances and poop bags were rarely available. There is a great inlet by the sea, which is always supplied with new water at high tide. This makes it possible for the little ones to swim here too. Without the big waves. Behind the campsite is a fantastic nature reserve along the Huchet. Superbly developed cycle path network. Excellent supply options with bakery and supermarkets in front of the campsite. Also good localities.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Gero H.June 2014Positiivsed- Location on the Atlantic - Gastronomy with fish storeNegatiivsed- Possibly loud / noise - Outdated sanitary facilitiesnice, but noisy - could do with a renovation here and thereA beautiful and well-located campsite overall, but it doesn't quite live up to its category. The sanitary facilities have been "new" for some time ;o) Also, a youth camp directly adjacent is not an ideal neighborhood for those seeking peace and quiet. So you are "forced to entertain" everyone. Nevertheless,... the site is wonderfully situated almost directly on the Atlantic and the pitches are generously laid out and usually offer plenty of shade. The fish restaurant with adjoining fish store is also worth a positive mention.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Günther M.May 2014PositiivsedLocation, facilities, cleanliness, friendliness, family-friendlyNegatiivsedWifi expensive, quite expensive in HS.Great place for a beach vacationWe were here in May in the pre-season with the motorhome. Large site (approx. 680 pitches). Very clean, great and well thought-out infrastructure, right on the beach with no road in between, indoor and outdoor pool and sauna on site, large and level pitches, we were probably only about 20 guests so very... quiet. In the high season it will probably be busier. Very well-developed cycle network in the area. A shopping and promenade with supermarkets in front of the site. Extremely friendly staff, English-speaking, some also speak German. Wifi available everywhere but expensive. Quite expensive in high season (approx. €45 per pitch, very cheap at €22 in low season). Cleanliness 1a, disposal for motorhomes no problem. For me, one of the best places I've visited!Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Volker K.October 2013Very well located campsite with good pitches of different sizes and characteristics. The pitch options range from somewhat secluded pitches with plenty of peace and quiet to more touristy pitches (closer to the water). The ocean can be reached directly via two entrances. The sanitary facilities were... overhauled and modernized last year. They are clean and have normal signs of wear and tear. In the main holiday season the site is quite full, good camping time is before or after the main tourist season. The pitch prices are ok for what is on offer there. With the ACSI Card, for example, the pitch prices are around 16 euros (as of 10/2013). The weather is still warm enough in the fall, and the Atlantic Ocean is quite warm for swimming. Caution is advised, however, as the undercurrent of the returning water should not be underestimated. For people without a caravan or motorhome, there is very nice permanent accommodation of various designs, facilities and prices. Simply inform yourself on the homepage "Caming le Saint Martin". For motorcyclists, the entire coast from Bordeaux down to Spain is very easy to ride and offers many sights and opportunities to explore the region. Those who like hiking will also find plenty of opportunities here. On the one hand, you can walk along the wide, beautiful beaches or, for example, hike for hours above the beach through the woods towards Leon (sturdy footwear is recommended). In short, we have been relaxing in this region for many years and are happy to recommend it to others. Greetings to all campers....Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- gerd w.September 2013Very nice, quiet and inexpensive (in the low season) place with direct access to the sea, clean and sufficient sanitary facilities. Sanitary facilities have been renewed! Great!Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Sven B.August 2013Ballermann or Camping St. Martin. Apart from the language and the lack of sangriae buckets, there's really no difference. Entertainment from 9 am to midnight. Events 3 times a week that go on until midnight. Not really a pleasure, especially if you're staying on pitch 96, which is 25m from the party... tent as the crow flies! Quiet is a foreign word here even after midnight. The sanitary facilities are neither sufficient in number nor in their hygienic condition. Although the central wash house is quite new, every corner pub has more toilets and urinals than this campsite. The only highlight is the security. During the time we were here, they kept a very close eye on who was on the site. You can confidently say Tourinepp about the internet presentation. WLAN costs €42 per month. But it also crashes regularly. The indoor pool can only be used in July and August for an extra charge. Conclusion: Only partially suitable for families with children. Animation may be interesting if you can speak French. Definitely our last time at this campsite!Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Sabine P.July 2013Formerly a beautiful place. Loud animation with microphone from 10am to midnight. Rest is unthinkable. Sanitary facilities are partly only sprayed with water. Dirty. Pitches very sandy and not straightened. Internet monthly flat rate 42 €. Internet reception on the pitch very poor, I had to leave the pitch to get reception. On request I was referred to the provider's hotline. Not a good service. Very expensive pitch in relation to the service.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Martin R.September 2012Despite our bad experience three years ago, we visited the site again this year. However, after four nights we left disappointed and totally exhausted. It was almost impossible to sleep because of the noise at night. Unfortunately, the conditions in the sanitary facilities have also deteriorated in recent... years. It was unclean. We used to go to the campsite more often - in future we will avoid it - we are looking for relaxation on vacation. It's a shame, because the location is really great.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
- Markus O.August 2012Typically FrenchWell, we've been to this campsite 4 times and are going again this year in 2014. The French do camping differently than the Germans, they just party during their 8 weeks of vacation. It's always an experience to take part in the bingo evening as a German. You learn numbers that you didn't know yet :-)... The location is brilliant. Yes, the sanitary facilities are not necessarily up to German standards, but French bars and restaurants are no different. If you only want to listen to the sound of the sea for 2 weeks, you're in the wrong place here in July / August. But there are really great activities, just in French, but you are in France. I think that's perfectly OK. Otherwise you have to go to Rimini, where you can also order the Hefeweizen in Swabian. For those who like it...... Very good security service. Reception can always speak some German. New fish restaurant. Great mussel restaurant. Now also with new stores in front of the door. Garbage is now also collected outside. Ideal for families with teenagers. Only recommended for those seeking peace and quiet and pensioners in the early and late season.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
