In the middle of a beautifully landscaped park with lots of bushes, shrubs, trees and flowers, there are around 20 extremely spacious pitches - each one for itself. Separated from the neighbors by plants, you can spread out and make yourself at home here. And... as if you didn't already have plenty of space on the (gravel) pitch, most of the pitches also have a beautiful green meadow that you can also use. (23 is completely surrounded by hedges, 22 has at least a small exit to the meadow behind the hedge).
In three small sanitary blocks you will find complete bathrooms with WC/shower/sink - very nice, always clean thanks to thorough cleaning (at least twice a day).
You can relax in the 4 jacuzzis on the beautiful wooden terrace (book at reception, costs nothing).
We made our way to the beautiful beach by bike - a free, wide beach with fine (brown) sand.
The store sells delicious farm produce and bread service - for everything else you can go to Donoratico.
Washing machines/dryers are available free of charge. (Consequence: half-empty machines are constantly being started - if it doesn't cost anything, environmental considerations are probably of secondary importance).
The road to the campsite is extremely bumpy, which makes it even easier to hear the traffic. But the road is not so annoying as there is not much traffic (except at the weekend when the Italians go to the beach).
What is really annoying, however, is the noise from the highway and train. Depending on the wind, you can hear them extremely loudly - during the day and at night. Out of 12 nights, we only had three nights where we didn't almost feel like we were staying at a rest stop. Maybe we were just unlucky with the wind? I don't know, but unfortunately we don't find it that relaxing, either during the day or at night - a shame, otherwise it would be such a quiet spot if the wind was right.

Free, good WLAN throughout the site. Great beach, only 700 m on foot (car-free) from the campsite. Small store with chilled wine, homemade jams and gelati and fresh fruit and vegetables on site, with a small café-bar. Very well-kept sanitary facilities in small houses, with free washing machine, dryer and changing tables. Several jacuzzi pools with loungers and umbrellas on a wooden deck for guests to use free of charge. Small playground and baby pool available for very young children. Fresh water and waste water supply on each pitch. 230V connection also available. Easy entry and exit via a chip card-controlled barrier with gate. Camper van disposal and cassette emptying available on the pitch. Great location, relatively quiet and yet easy to reach from the highway.NegatiivsedThere aren't really any, but.... No restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the campsite (if you need them...). A bit busier on the adjacent parking lots at weekends, as the public beach there is very popular.Camping as "agriglamping" = camping as a new experienceWe were only at Podere Pianetti for 3 nights and would have liked to stay longer.
However, the campsite is very popular and therefore almost always fully booked. We were lucky and managed to cancel in advance. If you haven't booked in advance, you don't need to go here at random. The 24 pitches are... very popular and for good reason.
Plenty of space on a park-like site with only a few pitches. All pitches have electricity, fresh water, gray water drainage and plenty of space between them. The pitches are on a gravelled, very level surface with a firm base, which is also ideal for heavy motorhomes or double-axle caravans.
The pitch can only be accessed by booked guests via a chip card system and is therefore relatively secure from the outside. A large gate also closes at night, in addition to the barrier system. There is free WLAN throughout the site.
The small store offers local products, fresh wines, homemade jams and ice cream and the staff are always friendly.
The wash houses offer small bathrooms with WC and shower, including free washing machine and dryer and changing tables. In addition, a small whirlpool with loungers and umbrellas can be booked, where you can spend relaxing hours.
The grounds are extremely well-kept, including a small herb garden that guests can use for their camping kitchen. Great!
We have never experienced anything like it and we enjoyed it. Peace, cleanliness, friendliness, sun, warmth and the fantastic Tyrrhenian Sea within walking distance. More is not possible.
Sustainable, modern, down-to-earth, service-oriented. This makes camping even more fun.

The small store sells bread rolls and home-made products. The path to the sea goes through a small wood and it doesn't take longer than 10 minutes on foot. A nice way to walk there with the dogs. However,... without a car or bike you are pretty lost, but otherwise a great starting point for activities in Tuscany. Unfortunately the weather didn't play ball with us and we left the campsite earlier than we had booked. Very friendly and generous of the boss Elisa to only charge us for the actual stay. It's too noisy for that due to the nearby railroad line, the highway and the busy road that runs right past the site. The infrastructure and cleanliness are outstanding. The nearby... beach is very beautiful. The pitches are so huge that motorhomers from Switzerland and Germany like to meet here with their Concorde semi-trailers. They marvel at the loaded vehicles and see whose vehicle is bigger. The site is also set up for this clientele in terms of prices. The pitches are very spacious and separated by small hedges. The sanitary facilities are new (and very clean) and divided into small bathrooms, which provide a certain level of comfort. Washing machines and drying racks are available and can be... used free of charge. The staff are very friendly and helpful and speak English (at least at reception). There is a small store where fresh food (fruit, vegetables, wine,...) can be bought cheaply. A "bread roll service" is also offered. All in all, this is an excellent campsite that is ideal as a base for visiting Tuscany as well as for beach vacations. The only (really tiny) points of criticism are perhaps that there could be a few more storage facilities in the bathrooms, and that the ground was very hard at the end of the summer and it was correspondingly difficult to secure a tent with pegs (moistening the ground with water helps very well, however).Automaatselt tõlgitud.

Many tripping hazards and not illuminated at nightSummer 2017we were here in august 2017. on the whole nice place, but in my eyes too much want to do too well. Water connection on the pitch and then there is no drinking water is not possible. small sanitary blocks for 5 pitches well meant but pointless. As soon as a family goes to shower together in the evening,... everything is blocked for a while. only one toilet is not enough. Free washing machine and dryer means that washing is done all day and night. Partly because of one piece that does not have to be. The state road and railroad line too loud depending on the wind. Unfortunately there are no trees to provide some shade. The mini pool is too small for children and there is nothing for teenagers. Since we had to leave beforehand for health reasons, we think it's cheeky that not only the place (which we actually expected) but also the people were charged for not staying. There is a small pool for children - without a slide, as well as a small playground. We were there with a... tent (7.20 x 4.50) and 6 people and felt completely at home. We had plenty of space despite the large tent. Tent has to be pitched on gravel as the lawn around it is watered at night. Hendrik M.June 2017PositiivsedThe pitchesNegatiivsedIf at all, there is no shade over the children's pool.Another insider tip!It was our first time in Tuscany with a caravan and we were lucky enough to find one of the most beautiful small campsites in southern Europe. Getting there was a bit of an adventure, as the road conditions off the highway were really borderline for our 2-ton monoaxle. The signposting is also rather... inconspicuous. The site itself is second to none. I've been to five-star sites where there were four or five times as many pitches in the same area. Thanks to the beautiful cloverleaf layout of the pitches (each over 120 m² in size), you can see the beautiful oleander-lined grounds, well-tended lawns and not your immediate neighbors. The driveways are not excessively wide but sufficient. We had to temporarily remove two boundary posts for our 2.5m wide caravan, but this was not a problem. There is fresh water (not drinkable) and waste water as well as electricity on site. The pitch itself is graveled, rock-hard and perfectly flat. It is not easy for campers to get the pegs into the ground here. There is a small, well-maintained store where you can buy the essentials. The nearest town is easy to reach by bike and there is a lovely regional weekly market once a week. There are also various supermarkets within easy reach. There are several "unisex" wash houses on the site, which were generally in impeccable condition. They are cleaned several times a day and any soiling was always due to campers who were not even able to maintain minimum hygiene standards - shame on you! But this is certainly not the fault of the operators. There are several washing machines and dryers available for free use - which is really great if you have two small children with you. Enough has already been written here about the whirlpools, there is also a children's pool, which is very nicely laid out. It would have been nice if there had been an awning, but that's complaining at the highest level. There are some glamping safari tents on the site which are really nicely integrated into the grounds and never give the impression of a mobile home settlement. A real outlier for the region! There are two joint event options during the week in a designated area. These are unobtrusive and well organized. However, if you don't feel like it, you can easily stay away. Otherwise there is no entertainment program which suits us very well. The beach is certainly not a highlight, but it is usable. It's a good five-minute walk and shouldn't be a challenge. On the way you walk past a large vacation complex, but this was never a nuisance. We weren't there long and couldn't do too much. We visited Volterra, Bolgheri and Piombino, of which the former is certainly the most beautiful by far. Despite the constant 36 degree temperatures, we took a bike ride through the hinterland and went shopping in Cecina. Of course, we also made a detour to Castagneto Carducci and found an excellent culinary offer. You can also hire bikes at the campsite. The staff are always very friendly and also speak English. Right down to the gardener, who devotedly looks after the fantastic herb garden. It was a great experience and we felt completely at ease.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
