Before "C", the ladies at reception were not always friendly. You felt like you were being handled. The staff have apparently been replaced and now it's better - except for one. Another hotel is being built on... the site and should be ready by mid-2022. Guests fear that prices will then rise again. We pay (July 21) approx. 31 euros per night for 2 people. The ADAC card is recognized with 10 %. Please check your bills, as it often happens that the discount is not taken into account. There is no supermarket in Hegykö. There is a PRIMA in Fertöd and a Tesco, Aldi and Lidl in Sopron.
You can also spend the night in front of the thermal bath in the large parking lot and enjoy the thermal bath with a day ticket. The sanitary facilities were always very clean. The spa is cleaned every evening.
Yes, there are several small restaurants on the site. We don't like the greasy Hungarian food, so we are self-caterers here. You can eat better outside around the spa. Everything in the tourist area is very unkempt. No grass and no hedges are cut. Electricity is now available at some of the pitches. Only some of the connections work. The reception... staff have no idea which pitches are still available. When you arrive, you have to walk around the whole site on your own and search. Staff not flexible enough to rectify faults quickly.no longer worthwhile. too many groups, too many peoplewe stayed at sara thermal for 15 days at the beginning of april 2017. over easter there was a tchech.club. registered with 50 caravans, campers. about 100 came. accordingly, the thermal pool was overcrowded. the management was not able to open the toilets and showers in the thermal bath earlier and close... them later. in the area for "normal guests" and the many club guests, there was a makeshift container with 2 showers and 2 toilets and a washroom. there was hardly any hot water for washing up and the showers and toilets were not heated. when asked at reception, the response was defensive. and the price was increased despite the renovation. Friendliness and competence are a foreign word here. it is not possible that more and more guests come to the campsite and it does not come to a stop because too many guests and also guests from outside come. There is a noticeable loss of quality in... the well-known restaurants, at least in the entrance area; we have eaten better there. I would like to praise the new option of buying extremely tasty Fornetti pastries on site every day from 07:30. We didn't notice any loss of quality in the restaurant at the back of the square with the "heavenly dishes". The overall price level is still reasonable. Over the winter, the sanitary building in the front part of the campsite was rebuilt and enlarged, and there are now twice as many toilets and showers there. Due to the reconstruction and the division of the thermal pool, relaxing in the warm thermal water is finally a thing of the past. If day visitors also come to the pool on weekends or public holidays, those seeking relaxation kneel and squat in rows of two along the edge of the pool. In future, it will probably be necessary to issue tickets with limited bathing time. In the lower part of the site, the "original" campsite, there are fewer and fewer free pitches for campers who can only stay for a few days or weeks due to the increasing number of permanent campers with caravans and garden gnomes every year. The site is practically always overcrowded; during our stay there were at least 70 mobile homes on the former sunbathing lawn right up to the volleyball court, which had to make do with a total of 4 toilets and showers in 2 containers. Summary If you don't have a problem with the overcrowding of the campsite and can find a free pitch without a reservation, Hegykö still has a thermal spa with a good infrastructure and reasonable prices.Automaatselt tõlgitud.
