    Ideal place if you want to cross over to the Hebrides.

    Good place to wait for the ferry to Harris
    Campsite close to the ferry terminal, flat, gravelled pitches. The site is well frequented, not parceled out and is located directly in the bay of Uig. Electricity and sanitary facilities are ok, the site itself is clean and the staff uncomplicated - all in all it's nice...

    Uig Campside
    The island is beautiful and here we found a quiet place with a very nice owner, small but nice. Also suitable for wheelchairs as the owner has built ramps. However, the sanitary facilities are very poor.

    Nothing for long ...
    ... but perfect as a stopover for one night .... Restaurant nearby, and ferry port to the Outer Hebrides ...

    Simple and practical
    The site is well suited to those passing through. There is a large grass area for tents in the upper section, while the gravelled area in the lower section is used to accommodate caravans and motorhomes. The sanitary building has limited facilities and is therefore rather basic. The staff are friendly and helpful.

    An ingenious accommodation for all passengers on the morning ferry - it's only 2 minutes away. The price is very reasonable and you can sit wherever you like on the large lawn, which runs gently up a slope. Due to the lakeside location, it was comparatively windy, but this proved to be very advantageous in view of the mosquito season. A washing machine and dryer are also available. Next door you could visit the island brewery (until 5 pm).

    A very simple, but also somehow rustic campsite due to its simplicity. A large meadow for tents in the middle of the small white cottages of Uig, on a slight slope. Wonderful view of the cliffs of the bay and the incoming ferries from the Outer Hebrides. A much smaller gravel area for caravans and motorhomes...
